Chapter 155 Nezha Takes Action
The Monkey lightly chuckled and activated the Divine Skill of Law of Heaven and Earth, standing tall and mighty, he faced the Bull Demon King, who had transformed into a colossal bull.
"You won't escape!" the Monkey bellowed.
The giant bull that the Bull Demon King had become charged at the Monkey with its massive horns. The Monkey grabbed the two horns with one hand and shouted loudly, his voice like thunder echoing through the sky.
With a thud, the great White Ox was slammed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust so huge that the earth itself seemed to quiver for a moment. In distant woods, panicked wild animals began to stampede. Even they were startled by the tremors and set off on a frenzied run, as the onset of a beast tide opened before them.
Despite such commotion, the White Ox remained unscathed. In this state, the Bull Demon King was like a copper pea that could neither be steamed soft nor boiled tender, giving the Monkey an almost helpless feeling.
The Nether River manipulated the Bull Demon King to let out a roar, a hint of pride in the sound. With a body unyielding, in that state, typical attacks couldn't break his defense, let alone injure him.
"Lao Shun doesn't believe in this evil," the Monkey said fiercely as he drew the Ruyi Jingu Bang, which with a mere flourish grew as tall as the sky.
Using all his strength, the Monkey held the sky-high Jingu Bang in his imposing stance, creating strong gales that swept forth like a wild storm. The Bull Demon King, unwilling to show weakness, charged towards the Monkey with his sharpened horns.
The Jingu Bang and the giant horns collided in the void, creating a scene akin to sparks flying as Earth met Mars. The massive gale forced the onlooking Heavenly and Buddhist Soldiers to keep retreating.
Mountains crumbled and winds raged as countless beings fled in terror. In the wake of such fearsome repercussions, the fragile creatures could not control their own fates; this was the sorrow of the weak. They could only live cautiously under the protection of the strong, knowing that even their utmost efforts could be undone by undeserved calamity.

Wukong acutely sensed the change in the surrounding life force, the roar of dying beings, their curses against them. A sudden fear struck his heart.
He remembered the Scholar's words—compared to an Immortal's powerful Soul, the grievances of beings were but minor troubles. However, as the saying goes: "A multitude of voices can melt metal and accumulated resentment can consume bone." When the countless resentments of beings stack up, even a Saint would take notice.
"Do not commit small evils, nor neglect small goods. The path of cultivation is the same; only then can you keep a clear mind and prevent demonic obstructions."
With this thought, he immediately ceased his attack. Fighting any further with the Bull Demon King would likely harm too many innocent beings. Moreover, with so many on his side ready to assist, it seemed inappropriate to leave them as mere spectators.
So he withdrew his Divine Skills, leapt out of the battlefield, and addressed Li Jing and Precious Moonlight Buddha, "This crafty old Ox is playing tough; I can't get the better of him in his current form. I hope for your help now and promise great thanks from Lao Shun in the future."
The faces of Li Jing and Precious Moonlight Buddha immediately lit up with joy. Leading their troops into battle, they would prefer not to return empty-handed. Besides, seeing the Monkey's current combat prowess naturally encouraged them to foster good relations.
"Great Saint, rest assured, we'll make sure this old Ox cannot escape our net," the two said with a smile.
Nezha, who was nearby, interjected, "Great Saint, allow me to challenge this rascal!"
Precious Moonlight Buddha saw the eager Nezha, felt the surging battle intent within him, and thought it better to let Nezha exhaust the Bull Demon King a bit before stepping in. After all, the old Ox was already like a turtle in a jar, with no escape.
So he smiled and said, "Since the Third Prince has such a refined interest, then let the Third Prince lead the charge."
Li Jing, looking at Nezha's face full of the will to fight, said with apprehension, "Go, but be careful, he's no ordinary opponent." Having finished speaking, he subtly gave his son a meaningful glance.
Nezha understood in his heart that it wasn't the Bull Demon King his father was warning him to be careful of, but rather the mysterious figure behind him, so with resolve, he nodded firmly.
With permission granted, Nezha leaped forth, appearing before the transformed colossal ox of the Bull Demon King, and shouted loudly, "You Demon Lord, do you recognize this young master?"
"Isn't this little Nezha? What makes you want to fight me?" the massive White Ox spoke in human tongue.
"Hmph! Brazen demon, take this spear!" Without wasting words, Nezha thrust his Fire-tipped Spear toward its body.
The Fire-tipped Spear, bearing endless flames, surged forward, instantly engulfing the white colossal ox, yet the beast rampaged through the flames, completely unaffected.
"Little Nezha, you think these flames can hurt me? You're underestimating me," the Bull Demon King said with a smug look.
But Nezha, enraged, retorted, "Don't be arrogant, watch how I subdue you!" With those words, he displayed his Divine Skills of three heads and six arms, leaped up, and in a flash, landed on the Bull Demon King's back.
Given the Bull Demon King's colossal size, he was immune to blades and swords, and unaffected by water and fire, yet this also made him quite clumsy. Nezha, small in stature, alighted on his back, leaving the Demon King powerful yet unable to exert his strength, wildly flailing his body around.
However, due to his enormous size, the vibrations on his back barely affected Nezha's actions, who, armed with weapons in all six arms, madly attacked the Bull Demon King's back.
The Bull Demon King couldn't help but utter a painful roar; Nezha's assault had indeed hit a sore spot. Even more frenetically, the Demon King thrashed his body trying to shake Nezha off, but to no avail.
Nezha fitted his Wind Fire Wheels onto the two colossal horns, and immediately, roaring flames enshrouded the Demon King's entire body. Unlike the previous flames from the Fire-tipped Spear, these searing blazes were exceptionally intense, continuously burning the Demon King's inner mana.
At that moment, with the Demon-slaying Sword raised in hand, a flash of sword light streaked by, and the huge oxen head was abruptly severed, for this was the Demon-slaying Sword, naturally capable of cleaving all demonkind of the world. No matter how strong the defense, if you belong to the demons, you would be disregarded.
Yet, as the massive oxen head fell to the ground, there was no great thud; instead, it vanished without a trace, silently. There was no blood flowing from the cut on the Bull Demon King's neck. Instead, a white mist circulated and, in a short time, a new oxen head grew out.
The Bull Demon King sneered coldly, barreling around violently, causing the Heavenly Soldiers, Heavenly Generals, and the Buddhist bhikkhus in the sky to hastily dodge out of the way. This scene only further fueled Nezha's rage. The Demon-slaying Sword displayed no mercy as the Bull Demon King's head fell again.
As the white mist swirled, another head grew back, but this time the Bull Demon King's face had lost its previous composure. Nezha had found his Achilles' heel, and without change, he would eventually be worn to death.
With a thought, he instantly withdrew his Divine Skills and reverted to human form. The iron rod struck towards Nezha with an indescribable speed.
