Itachi Uchiha: Massacre Night

Uchiha Compound, Hidden Leaf Village:

Inside the house of the leader of the Uchiha Clan, a man was sitting in his bedroom with a depressed face. He knew what fate had stored for him tonight.

He knew that he was going to die tonight which wasn't the issue since everyone had to die one day. The problem was that his own kid, whom he had raised for 13 years, had betrayed him and was going to kill him tonight, or at least that's what he had speculated.

If he wanted, he could easily stop his son, but he would have to fight him to death, which he didn't want. What father in the world would want to kill their child? At most, he wanted to beat some sense into his stupid son, but he was beyond brainwashed by the village executives.

The only thing that he was happy about was that his younger son would survive the massacre since he still hadn't returned home from the academy, which was probably his eldest's doing.

That depressed man was none other than Fugaku Uchiha, head of the Uchiha Clan and the father of Itachi and Sasuke.

"I'm sorry Mikoto, I didn't know what type of monster was being raised under us. It's my mistake" Fugaku said as he addressed his wife with a determined face.

"It's not your fault, it's ours. I also didn't show him enough love," Mikoto said with a sigh. She was also disappointed in Itachi's upbringing. She felt that if she could have a second chance, she would raise Itachi a lot better.

"He is here," Fugaku said as he felt Itachi walking towards his room, which made both of them a bit sad, but they didn't show it on their face and turned their face away from Itachi so they didn't have to see their son killing them. That way, they will assume that they got killed by an unknown person which would ease their minds in their last breaths.

*Door Opens*

"I see, so you have aligned with the other side?" Fugaku said with a determined face after he felt Itachi walk in, in the room.

After that, he simply closed his eyes as both he and Mikoto got ready to accept their faith.

"No, I have changed my mind. I won't betray my parents for those old bastards," Itachi said as he came closer to them and put his hands on his parent's shoulders.

"What do you mean?" Mikoto said as she turned around a little and saw Itachi smiling.

"I will stay on your side forever. I don't care what the village thinks anymore. Birds of the same flock fly and die together" Itachi said as his calming words touched his parents.

"Itachi...." Mikoto muttered as she got emotional and got some tears in her eyes. After that, she grabbed Itachi and hugged him tightly.

"I'm proud of you, my son," Fugaku said after digesting the fact that his son, indeed, hadn't betrayed them and was on his side.

They all cherished their happiness for some moments after which Fugaku asked the important question.

"What will you do once the village finds out? Do you have a plan to deal with everything?" Fugaku asked as Mikoto let go of Itachi because she also wanted to know what her son had in mind.

"I have a solid plan that could work in our favor," Itachi said as he sat down on the floor.

"What is that plan?" Fugaku asked as he got curious to see what his son wanted to do.

"My plan relies on me to kill the village's leadership which will leave the rest of the ninjas without a commander. Then we will take over the village and convince them to join us. That way, there won't be many casualties, and the other nations won't attack us," Itachi said, which disappointed Fugaku.

He thought that his son had found a way to stop this conflict between the Uchiha Clan and the village because deep down, he didn't want to fight the village, so he was kind of shocked to see his son following the ideology of his fellow clan members.

For a second, Fugaku thought that the person in front of him wasn't Itachi because he would never say such a thing. He thought that it may be an intruder sent by the village leader who was using some sort of transformation jutsu to take potential information about their coup, but he was wrong. He checked Itachi with his Sharingan and found nothing wrong with Itachi. He was actually his own son who suddenly had a change of mind.

"Sigh, how will you do everything alone?" Fugaku asked which made Itachi smile.

"I won't be alone. I would need everyone's help to pull this off. Once I'm gone, alert the clan members. Besides that, we have you. As long as you take action and use your Mangekyo, no one can stop us" Itachi said as he stood up without any worries.

He knew how strong his father's Mangekyo Sharingan truly was thanks to his memories where he asked his father about his Mangekyo abilities.

Due to that, their side actually have a huge advantage. Fugaku's Mangekyo was the reason why the clan members were so confident in their coup because everyone knew that Fugaku could easily defeat any enemies.

The only one who could beat him was The Fourth Hokage but even he would have to proceed with caution and avoid any eye contact. Other than that, maybe the legendary Sannin could have a chance if they worked together.

"Our residence is being watched by Anbu ninjas. It won't be that easy" Fugaku said

"I know, I saw them on my way here. Don't worry, I will lead them away. Use this chance to make sure that everyone is ready and prepared," Itachi said as he realized that his father wanted to chicken out and wanted to resolve everything without bloodshed.

"What about Sasuke?" Mikoto asked as she grabbed Itachi's hand in worry. She loved her younger child, so it was obvious that she wanted to make sure that he would be okay.

"He is still in the academy and won't be home for another 2 or 3 hours. He should be fine there. That's the safest place for him right now" Itachi said as he turned around and decided to leave.

"Itachi, are you really going to kill The Third Hokage?" Fugaku asked as he also got up and approached Itachi. He wanted to stop his son from doing that because he would become a wanted criminal, and there wouldn't be a way to make things normal between the clan and the village ever again.

Besides that, he also had a lot of respect towards The Third Hokage. He even named his younger son after Third Hokage's father Sasuke Sarutobi.

Thankfully, Itachi knew what his father was thinking, thanks to his genius-level intellect, so he gave a rational and logical reply and diverted his father's attention to Danzo.

"I don't know but I definitely won't let Danzo go. He is the cause of everything and must be eliminated at all costs. He will also pay for killing my best friend" Itachi said as he disappeared from the room, implying that he was going after Danzo after hinting that Danzo killed Shisui.
