Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Advancing System Repair, Magic Sniper Rifle?
Upon hearing Barzack's taunts, Gaal remained unfazed, nodding in agreement: "Indeed, some people's wickedness can't be explained with words. Maybe one day in the future, those guys will end up accompanying you to hell. It's just a pity that you'll die before them and see nothing."
Barzack gritted his teeth, the vein on his forehead visibly throbbing. He had hoped to rile Gaal up, but hadn't anticipated this guy would be more unscrupulous than he imagined.
Despite his provocations, Gaal was completely unmoved, calmly declaring Barzack's death as if it were mere fact.
Failing to unsettle Gaal, it was Barzack who nearly lost his composure.
Yet, Gaal wasn't finished. Steelix's body began to glow, and then vanished.
Dressed in a black magic robe, Gaal appeared and calmly addressed Barzack: "In truth, you didn't have to die, this matter isn't related to you. Grimoire Heart declared war on Fairy Tail but why is it you who dies?"
Barzack's eyes turned red as Gaal's question echoed in his mind like a thunderous drumbeat.
Initially numb to life and death, Barzack suddenly found himself unable to suppress his fear of death, roaring in rage as his magic power surged into the sky: "Die! Die! Just go die, damn it! You should be the ones!"
By the end, his roars had turned into chilling howls.
The massive werewolf, towering over ten meters high, collapsed to the ground, reverting to its primal form as a Red Blood Wolf.
It used its strength to transform into a blood-red blur, aiming its gaping maw towards Gaal.
Gaal's mouth curled into a slight grin as he stood unmoving: "Lost your mind already? You need more practice. But... maybe in your next life."
As the blood-red blur charged at him, a Gravity Magic Circle lit up in front of Gaal. In the next instant, there was a deafening boom.
The Red Blood Wolf that charged into the circle found itself unable to move, its massive head forcibly pressed against the ground, a mere meter from Gaal, yet an impassable chasm between them.
Gaal raised his magic staff and touched it to the wolf's forehead. Separation Magic was triggered.
The fusion between Barzack and the Red Blood Wolf was severed, and Barzack's tattooed human form appeared, devoid of life.
Under the high pressure of the Gravity Magic Circle, Barzack's organs had burst, leading to his instant death.
With Barzack gone, the life vanished from the eyes of the loyal Red Blood Wolf. Gaal paid his respects for a moment before absorbing it into System Space, refining it into Essence.
As Gaal had suspected, the wolf must have consumed some peculiar object.
Once turned into Essence, the influx in the system's Essence surpassed what had been collected from the Burning Flame Guild's materials.
The system's foundational Plate repair was fastest with the Dark attribute, spurred on by absorbing Deliora and annihilating Dark Guilds.
The total repair progress had surpassed 55%, while other plates ranged from 3–30%.
Except for the currently 3% repaired Fairy Plate, which indicated the past existence of fairies in this world, the second least repaired was the Dragon Stone Plate.
Its progress was only 5.6%, relying on past dragon-related materials. Without dragons' existence, the plate might not have progressed at all.
As Gengar hunted, the fleeing werewolves rapidly met their end. Only Gastly and Haunter remained, transporting goods.
Gengar, holding a trident, descended from the sky, landing in front of Gaal, gesturing boastfully as if eager to showcase the prowess of its Gengar Legion.
Gaal chuckled and praised, "Not bad at all. If I didn't know better, I'd think you really were Skeletal Dragons. Keep up the good work. You'll be commanding Skeletal Dragons much larger than these in the future."
With its short fingers proudly beating its chest, Gengar indicated it was ready.
Gaal glanced around at the cleared scene and spoke, "Let's move."
"Continue tracking the next Dark Guild."

Meanwhile.
On the Ishgar Continent, in the east.
Inside the Magic Airship of the Grimoire Heart Guild.
In Hades' training chamber.
Azuma gravely reported the recent battle situation. Since Stinger's death, he had been temporarily acting as the vice-guild master:
"Master Hades, due to pressure from the Magic Council, not only is Gildarts sweeping our subsidiary guilds across the continent, but the Magic Council is also making moves everywhere. We've already ordered the subsidiary guilds to relocate, but time is short, and several have been destroyed."
Hades frowned slightly: "Too short? Do they need more than three days of notice to get moving?"
Azuma gave a bitter smile: "Master Hades, unless they abandon everything, relocating a guild takes at least several days. Many lesser mages can't bear to part with their belongings, so..."
Hades was silent for a moment before he asked, "Any word from Tartaros?"
Azuma replied, "Tartaros doesn't want to confront the Magic Council. However, they have connections with the Western Continent. They can get hold of assassins, which might allow us to attempt taking out members of Fairy Tail."
Hades shook his head: "Useless. With someone as powerful as Gildarts, do you think any assassin could get close?"
Azuma hesitated before asking, "What about the others? I've heard from Tartaros that the Western Continent has developed new magic rifles capable of taking down A-Class Magical Beasts from four kilometers away. Regular mages wouldn't have time to react."
This piqued Hades' interest: "Really? Magic weaponry has advanced to this level?"
Magic weapons have been circulating in the Ishgar Continent for years, but most brought over from the Western Continent by roaming mages have been rather weak, sometimes unable to penetrate a mage's defenses even at close range.
As such, few paid them any mind.
Despite this, many armies on Ishgar still wield spears and shields. But now, being able to kill an A-Class Magical Beast from four kilometers away—what a leap!
Azuma nodded and explained, "It's said to be the latest product from the research labs of the Alvarez Empire. However, due to its high cost, it hasn't been widely distributed. The defective pieces that Tartaros acquired came at a steep price. But, once repaired, they could effectively kill a regular A-Class mage."
Hades' eyes narrowed as he considered before speaking: "Then let them send people. The Western Continent is closest to the Fiore Kingdom. Let them test it on Fairy Tail first. See if they can eliminate someone under Makarov's protection."
Azuma nodded, then hesitantly asked, "And if they can't?"
Hades sneered: "Then let them kill anyone. Gildarts, Gaal Brons, or even a Council member—anyone will do. They're all destined to die anyway. Let them make more enemies."
Sobering, Azuma acknowledged quickly: "Understood."
Abruptly, Hades stopped Azuma: "Also, track the Black Magic Order. The Council's military action is definitely linked to them. Reissue orders, have the subsidiary guilds move immediately, those who escape should lay low for a while, then attack the Light Guilds. Leave notes holding Fairy Tail responsible, let them put pressure on Fairy Tail."
Acknowledging the command, Azuma exited the room, leaving Hades alone.
Hades gazed out the window at the passing clouds, then turned to the Ishgar Continental map covered in markings:
"Hmph... Fairy Tail."
Marked areas represent places searched for Zeref and Acnologia. Building the guild on an airship allowed quick movement upon discovery. Either one spotted, and Fairy Tail's days would be numbered.

Days later.
In the eastern forest near Magnolia Town.
Two mage cowboys with long boxes slung over their shoulders walked slowly. The long-haired man grumbled, "How much longer? This damned forest is endless."
The shorter short-haired man cautioned, "We're almost there. Stay alert; this mission's not like the others."
The long-haired man lazily yawned on the path: "Careful for what? Shooting kids outside the guild? Malicious, whoever planned this." Little did they know, on branches above, Pidgeys straightened their feathers and looked in their direction.
When the duo passed, one Pidgey took off as a messenger, avoiding their path, flying towards Magnolia Town.
