"Do you fear me?"
Akira glanced at Rin Tohsaka. Her legs were indeed worthy of admiration, smooth and flawless. However, he had no memories of ever being involved with her.
"Bastard Akira! Of course, I despise you! I've seen Sakura and Illya's faces! Tell me, why did you abandon them ten years ago?!" Rin felt it was her duty to stand up for Sakura and Illya.
"Why did I abandon them? First of all, I didn't abandon them. Your memories of the future were manipulated by the World's will to maximize your suffering. Secondly, even according to your memories, I didn't abandon them. I was expelled from the world, not by choice."
"Huh?!"
Rin was confused. How could Akira's departure be related to the World itself?
"So, he's Akira?"
Saber also turned her attention to him.
Since Rin, Sakura, and Illya had formed an alliance, Saber had heard of Akira. She had imagined him as a middle-aged man, but the reality was quite different.
"You... you're Akira?!"
Jeanne instinctively took a step back upon seeing him. Akira looked exactly like the man she had seen in her dreams!
In other words... Akira was the so-called "Holy Father"? The father of her child?
Not just the father of her child! Jeanne suddenly remembered that Akira was also the person Amakusa had ordered her to kill!
What was going on? Were the will of God and Amakusa's orders conflicting again?
"Jeanne, do you fear me too?"
Akira was puzzled. It made sense for Rin and Saber to fear him, but why Jeanne?
"I... I have some questions for you," Jeanne said, taking a deep breath.
"What questions?"
"First, let me deal with this monster. We need to change the battlefield."
Akira was worried that if the sea demon continued to grow, it would become uncontrollable.
"Agumon, go!"
[Understood, Akira!]
A golden light shot out from Akira's hand, transforming into a massive, mechanical creature.
[Agumon, Digivolve to...!]
[MetalGreymon!!!]
A towering MetalGreymon, standing over ten meters tall, appeared and fired two golden missiles from its chest cannons.
[Star Domain—Mirror Space!]
The golden missiles exploded above the sea demon, enveloping it in a shower of golden light. The demon's form gradually became illusory, no longer able to interact with the real world.
Though it was still there, it could no longer harm anything in the physical realm.
This technique was similar to Ultraman Nexus's "Meta Field," creating a separate battlefield.
After evolving and perfecting itself, Agumon had unlocked nearly all of its potential. According to its data, Agumon was not only a fighter but also skilled in magic and research. The "Forbidden Seal Spell" used to banish the sea demon was one of the powerful techniques Agumon had mastered after evolving.
With such terrifying magical talent, if Agumon evolved again, it could potentially rival even the strongest beings in the multiverse.
"This guy's style is completely different from ours," Rider commented, watching as Akira effortlessly dragged the sea demon away without using a Reality Marble.
Jeanne was also stunned. She noticed that Akira's methods were unlike anything she had seen before.
While most summoners called upon mythical or humanoid creatures, Akira's summon was something entirely unknown—a fantastical being that defied logic.
How could such a creature, radiating divine and faith energy even stronger than her own, exist?
[Akira, the analysis of the sea demon is complete. As we initially thought, it has become an Outer God's minion,] Agumon's voice echoed in Akira's mind.
[Good, I'll be there soon,] Akira replied through their mental link.
[So, it'll take some time? If I can defeat it before you arrive, does that mean you won't have to fight?] Agumon sounded eager to take on the challenge alone.
[Don't rush. Even if you can defeat it, it's better to wait for me. In the meantime, use your skills and spells to weaken it.]
[Understood. I'll wait for you, Akira. Until then, I'll keep it busy.]
[Good. I'm counting on you, Agumon.]
"Alright, that's taken care of for now. Jeanne, what did you want to ask me?" Akira turned to Jeanne.
"Ah, right... Akira, I need you to answer me truthfully," Jeanne said, her gaze serious.
"Have you ever done anything that could harm the world?"
"Harm the world? Do I look like that kind of person?" Akira shrugged.
From his appearance and behavior, Akira seemed like a good person. His summon radiated a divine aura, and his actions were just.
So why had the World's will ordered her to kill him? Why had her true self been summoned for this purpose?
Jeanne, the French maiden, was not one to lie.
"If that's the case, then why did Amakusa order me to eliminate you?"
"Huh?" Akira's expression turned subtle.
So, Amakusa still had tricks up his sleeve.
"What? Amakusa ordered you to kill him? Did even Amakusa disapprove of him abandoning Sakura and Illya?!" Rin seized every opportunity to criticize Akira.
"Don't be ridiculous. The truth is, I expelled Amakusa from this world. That's why she's resorting to such desperate measures."
"By the way, do you know why you have memories of the future?"
Akira spent the next few minutes explaining the situation, clarifying why they had memories of the future.
"Wait, so you're saying the memories in our heads are from a timeline where you weren't in control of the World's will? And now, you've taken over and expelled the World's will, severing this world from the rest?"
Rin's eyes widened in disbelief.
How could someone like Akira, who seemed so unassuming, have such power?
"Exactly," Akira nodded.
"The World's will has abandoned this world. Jeanne, you should know this, right?"
Akira glanced at Jeanne, his eyes narrowing.
Akira smirked and tossed a white "Knight" piece toward Jeanne.
"Take my piece, Jeanne. With it, you'll no longer be bound by the Throne of Heroes. You'll have the power to transcend the world and fate itself."
Jeanne caught the white piece.
Before he completely vanished, Akira turned to Saber.
"King of Knights of Britain, if you still wish to save your kingdom, you can also choose to become my subordinate."
Saber silently picked up the piece.
"Save Britain..."
Saving Britain was her lifelong wish.
She wasn't the Saber from the Fate timeline who had already moved on.
"Saber! The monster is moving again!" Rin shouted.
"What? It's moving again? How?"
Saber quickly turned her attention to the river.
Earlier, the sea demon had been sealed in a separate dimension. Though it was still visible, it could no longer affect the real world.
But now, something was happening.
As Saber looked, her eyes widened in shock.
What was going on? Where had they been transported to? Was this still the Holy Grail War, or had it turned into a monster battle?!
