Chapter 51 - The Hell of Ignorance!

"Bankai: Suzumushi Tsuishiki: Enma Kōrogi!"

As Tōsen chanted the words of his Bankai, the circular ring behind his Zanpakutō, Suzumushi, suddenly expanded and divided into nine identical rings, surrounding Vimana from all directions.

In the next moment, a torrent of spiritual pressure transformed into a pitch-black curtain, rapidly spreading from those rings and soon enveloping Vimana entirely.

From a distance, it appeared as a gigantic, dark ellipsoidal barrier.

Gilgamesh's right hand still held the Spiral Sword, but the rainbow light had vanished.

His left hand continued to pet Yoruichi, trying to calm her restless state.

Tōsen was curious about this talking black cat.

However, this wasn't the time for curiosity.

Tōsen reached out to grab Gilgamesh, intending to subdue him.

Just then, Gilgamesh released the Spiral Sword from his right hand and accurately grabbed Tōsen's reaching hand.

This sudden move left Tōsen incredulous, exclaiming, "How is this possible!?"

It was only then that Tōsen realized Gilgamesh had been watching him all along.

Shinigami battles relied mainly on spiritual pressure. Once stripped, even a captain-level Shinigami would be powerless.

This meant that falling into Suzumushi's Bankai would likely result in death for any captain-level Shinigami.

Yoruichi hadn't expected the despised Tōsen to possess such a terrifying Bankai.
