Chapter 908: Deity Inheritance and Regeneration Affinity
Chapter 908: Deity Inheritance and Regeneration Affinity
"You should stop it," The Panger Loya alternated its gaze between Inala and Pai and addressed the duo.
"We're here for the Librarian Debate, not your personal revenge." The Bulging Snapper approached the Empyrean Whisker and let out a warning, "Just because you're the leader doesn't mean you can do whatever you want."
"After all, we're in the Wean Clan's territory, and the one who accepted Leukeu as one of us is them." It warned.
"You think I'm afraid of the Wean Clan?" The Empyrean Whisker retracted its attack and snorted.
"Yeah, you are." Inala too cut off his attack once he was no longer being targeted. With a smug expression, he pointed at the blood dripping out of the Empyrean Whisker's nose, "Don't act strong unless you can face a Boar King."
"Fucking..." Pai, the Empyrean Whisker glared at Inala, eyes bulging in rage.
"Final warning," Inala said as his voice slowly reduced in pitch, his expression changing into a wave of concealed rage, "Attack me one more time, and I'll consider it an invite to your death."
"You...!" The Empyrean Whisker became enraged, intending to attack when suddenly, the Panger set foot within its Spirit Weapon range.
"I don't care about your conflict. I'm only here for one thing," The Panger, Loya said and eyed Pai, "Don't cause any delays."
The fact that the Panger set foot within its Spirit Weapon range was a threat. The moment the Empyrean Whisker were to unleash another attack, the Panger would walk into the attack and deal damage to it.
With the Empyrean Whisker's sensitivity, facing a Panger was too dangerous. There was a solid chance both could kill each other in an instant, the moment they used their abilities carelessly and at full power.
"Tch!" The Empyrean Whisker clicked its tongue and calmed down. A bunch of strings coiled before its eyes and blocked Inala's figure from its sight. This way, it could control itself, taking on a cheerful attitude as it addressed everyone else, "Sorry about that fiasco. Now, let's begin the Librarian Debate."
"I'll begin by talking about my insights into Mystic Sumatra Art." It took in a deep breath and began to speak, "As everyone knows, Mystic Sumatra Art has the property to imprint the characteristics of Prana and blood onto each other. To what extent does this imprint go was my topic of research this month."
"And that is what led to the creation of this skill." It uttered and eyed the Bulging Snapper once before commenting, "Deity Inheritance!"
"Are you...serious?" Prana billowed out of the Bulging Snapper immediately in response, revealing an overwhelming presence. However, everyone at the scene was a Gold Grade Pranic Beast. So, a twitch from each, and the presence was neutralised.
"Yes," Pai didn't mind this reaction, for it was one of excitement. Rather, eliciting such a reaction from the Bulging Snapper elevated the value of its Skill, "This used to be a special privilege that only the two Deity races, the Empyrean Tusks and Empyrean Snappers have enjoyed. Thanks to this, even when they die, their accumulations are truly never lost, since they're passed down to their successors."
"That is how the Mammoth Clan birthed that absolute monster that defies all common sense." It uttered, feeling somewhat overwhelmed as it spoke the name, "The Empyrean Supreme."
"Even after seeing images of its appearance from those who witnessed the fight at the Kalahatra Desert, I still cannot fathom such an existence. But, I can say this with assurance," The Empyrean Whisker raised its voice slightly, "It was only because the Empyrean Tusks could pass down their inheritance generation after generation that everything culminated into one individual to birth the Empyrean Supreme."
"They aren't called Deities for no reason." It let out a sigh and stared at the Bulging Snapper, "I'm sure you understand that the best."
"I do," Prarahh, the Bulging Snapper nodded, "Now, get to the point. We all know how special these Deities are, despite being Gold Grade Pranic Beasts."
"The Skill of Deity Inheritance mimics that." Pai then began to explain, "All the data in your mind space is compressed and imprinted onto a condensed droplet of blood brimming with your Prana. When it is drunk by your successor, the droplet is digested. And once the digested substance circulates through their blood and reaches the heart to make contact with the Spirit Container, all the inheritance appears in the mind space."
Upon explaining until then, it brought out a Vara Slip for all the Gold Grade Pranic Beasts to access, for a moment flinching upon sensing the Brully too accessing the information. But a glare from quite a few Gold Grade Pranic Beasts, it controlled itself.
"This will...destroy the mind of the child who inherits the information." The Bulging Snapper commented upon analysing the Skill, "The information overload will destroy their mind. And even if their mind withstands it, they'll be fully influenced by the memories."
"We don't want ghosts of the past to haunt the future."
"Obviously," The Empyrean Whisker nodded, "I only managed to complete the basic structure of the Skill. We'll still need to add all sorts of auxiliary functions to it so that it could be safely used by not just us, but even Silver Grade Pranic Beasts."
"The direction is solid," The Sphinger gave its opinion, "I value it highly and propose we take priority in completing this skill to the extent even Beginner Silver Grade Pranic Beasts can safely use it."
"I accept."
"It'll allow our respective Races to accumulate strength over the generations better."
"I'll actively contribute to its development in the upcoming months."
"Me too."
One after another, the Gold Grade Pranic Beasts expressed their support to the development
of the Deity Inheritance Skill, since it was extremely valuable. Once completed, it'll be no different to the method used by the Empyrean Tusks and Empyrean Snappers to leave an inheritance in their successors.
These two Deity Races were able to perform such an act naturally, one of the many, many reasons they were worshipped as Deities. With the Skill of Deity Inheritance, other Gold Grade Pranic Beast Races could also have a taste of what it meant to be a Deity.
Thump! Thump!
As he observed the Skill, Inala's three hearts thumped in excitement, 'As the Royal Zinger, I never thought of this aspect, even though it was the most basic.'
But it couldn't be helped, since the Quip Clan never had such a need. The Royal Zinger was their database. Everything the Quip Clan created and developed would be available with the Royal Zinger, whether it was alive or not.
Therefore, even if a majority of what the Quip Clan had created gets destroyed in the future, the moment the Royal Zinger appears, it could tap into all that information stored within the Royal Zinger genes and recover every piece of lost knowledge.
So, the Quip Clan never needed an inheritance. Their Piezo Slips were more than enough to
store information.
'After the Mammoth Clan, Cooter Clan, and the Quip Clan, the Wean Clan too would enjoy this advantage, thanks to the Deity Inheritance Skill. And of course,' He grinned upon understanding why his hearts thumped in excitement, 'I'll revive the Brully Race. It seems that desire exists in me, since I am now a Brully.'
Inala promptly added his thoughts in the Vara Slip containing the Deity Inheritance Skill, much to the shock of other Gold Grade Pranic Beasts.
"A Brully's senses are the most sensitive in such cases." Inala responded as such, because the insights he added were valuable and something many Gold Grade Pranic Beasts accepted as such. The spontaneous nature with which he came up with such insights surprised them.
'Tch!' The Empyrean Whisker clicked its tongue mentally, but didn't express any dissatisfaction externally. It knew that Inala's insights were beneficial. At present, the Empyrean Whisker Race needed this skill the most, since despite their long history, they hadn't passed down their knowledge.
Every generation, they were starting from scratch, armed only with a couple of languages and nest-building techniques granted by the parent. Had they possessed the Deity Inheritance Skill, they would have accumulated a scary amount of knowledge by now, considering their
long history of existence.
Hence, despite its personal preference, it shut up and accepted all valuable infights, even if some of them came from a Brully.
After an hour of discussion, nothing new and insightful came in the minds of the Gold Grade
Pranic Beasts in reference to the Deity Inheritance Skill. Therefore, they set it aside for the time being and proceeded on to the next individual.
The second individual to present their gains over the past month was none other than the Sphinger, Kapulahora. Without much of an introduction, it took out a Vara Slip and spoke, "I call this skill the Regeneration Affinity."
"Once activated, it makes our body more susceptible to the recovery traits of our Prana, improving our regeneration speed." The Sphinger didn't explain beyond that and watched the Gold Grade Pranic Beasts access its Vara Slip one after another.
Splurt!
Without any hesitation, Inala made a deep gash on his arm and watched it heal in four
seconds. He then made the same injury, but this time, activated the Skill of Regeneration Affinity, watching the wound still take four seconds to heal, "This is...?"
"I understand." He grinned and explained as other Pranic Beasts observed his wounds, "It's like cranking up the flow of a river to douse a forest fire at the start."
If suppose an entity's Prana was capable of healing ten units of damage every second, with
the injury requiring a total of eight seconds to heal, the Skill of Regeneration Affinity simply shifts the usage, like taking a loan.
The Prana's healing capacity would be enhanced to heal twenty units of damage every second
for the first two seconds. This way, half the damage was healed. And for the remaining six seconds, the Prana would heal approximately seven units of damage per second.
Basically, the healing capacity was shifted forward, so that the most serious of injuries could
be healed quicker. The remaining damage could be healed at a slower rate, since that would
no longer be life-threatening.
'This will enhance the survivability of stronger Pranic Beasts with powerful regeneration capabilities.' Inala thought as a droplet of blood trickled down his temples, 'Thank goodness the Gold Varahan Library wasn't established before. If Brangara had this...'
Killing him would have just become even more impossible. The Celestial Boar could already
regenerate a lost head within a second. This skill would make its recovery even more perverse, making it pretty much impossible to even damage it with usual attacks.
Attacks that crippled the Celestial Boar's body, allowing an opportunity to target its Astral
World wouldn't work as well now, 'Thank goodness! This is why we had to deal with Brangara
with the Third Major Disaster itself. Had they more time on their hands, Yarsha Zahara would have created such skills and more.'
If they had waited until the Fourth Major Disaster, even with their best efforts, they wouldn't
have been able to kill Brangara. That was how much of a broken monstrosity the existence of Celestial Boar was.
Even among Mystic Grade existences, it was in a league of its own. 'Truly worthy of having the Prefix of Celestial.'
