I, the Villain, Stopped Simping, and Now All the Female Leads Are Panicking

Chapter 8:

Chapter 8: Completely Shameless!

BOOM!

In a moment of life-or-death crisis, Xiao Fan could no longer afford to keep anything hidden. He immediately activated one of his trump cards.

It was a protective jade talisman he had acquired by chance—a growth-type treasure that could block one full-strength attack from an enemy one realm above his current level. At the same time, it unleashed a wide-area shockwave, blasting enemies away.

This was a rare and powerful defensive treasure.

He had once used this very talisman to ambush and kill a heavily injured Golden Core Realm cultivator. That was the first time he truly experienced the thrill of killing. He’d realized then: killing was the fastest way to get stronger.

Though the talisman was useful, it came with a long cooldown—half a year.

Xiao Fan had originally planned to use it after reaching the Liquid Condensation Realm, when he’d go hunting Golden Core Realm cultivators. But unexpectedly, he was forced to waste it on a bunch of beasts today.

And it had only just finished its cooldown!

He was already at the ninth level of Foundation Establishment. In less than a month, he’d reach the Liquid Condensation Realm. The loss was massive—his heart bled with regret.

Taking advantage of the beasts being blasted away, Xiao Fan quickly scrambled to his feet and continued running toward Liu Yanran.

He had used his last lifeline. Surely nothing else could go wrong now…

But of course, something did.

A few flying beasts were drawn by the noise of the battle. When they saw the field littered with beast corpses, they were overjoyed and called over more of their kind.

These flying beasts had never seen such a feast before. They swarmed in madly to fight over scraps.

They didn’t dare touch the corpses at the very center, but there wasn’t much left on the edges. This scarcity caused chaos.

Just then, Xiao Fan had used his talisman to clear the center, opening up a large empty space.

Of course the beasts wouldn’t pass up this opportunity. The ones who hadn’t gotten a bite quickly dove down to grab some meat and fly off.

The slower ones, just arriving, found the center already picked clean. Frustrated, they began screeching wildly.

And then they spotted Xiao Fan, limping and staggering below.

Xiao Fan also noticed them—and his face changed drastically.

“Miss! Save me!”

“Miss, I beg you! Save me, and I, Xiao Fan, will follow you for life!”

At this point, dignity meant nothing.

Xiao Fan dropped to his knees before Liu Yanran, banging his head on the ground with loud thumps.

His face showed sincerity, but his heart seethed with rage. His eyes glowed with venomous hatred, nearly turning solid.

“One day, I’ll make this woman who saw me humiliated suffer a fate worse than death!”

Though Liu Yanran kept her eyes closed, her divine sense had been watching him the whole time.

She was slightly surprised when she saw Xiao Fan pull out the protective treasure.

With her experience, she instantly recognized it wasn’t ordinary.

She hadn’t expected Yan She to give such a precious item to Xiao Fan. This confirmed that Xiao Fan must have some value in Yan She’s eyes.

Still unmoved, Liu Yanran made no response.

Xiao Fan panicked and cried out,

“I’m willing to sign a servant contract! Just save my life!”

A servant contract wasn’t as absolute as a soul-blood contract—where one thought from the master could end the servant’s life—but it still had strong binding power.

The servant was required to obey to the best of their ability, or suffer soul punishment.

If the servant misbehaved, the master could punish them through the contract.

However, servant contracts had a condition—they could only be made with someone of a lower cultivation realm. If the servant surpassed the master, the contract would automatically dissolve.

Xiao Fan was counting on this.

He believed he’d surpass Liu Yanran in strength soon enough. Once he did, he’d make her pay for all this humiliation!

He had no other trump cards left. Ye Shuang’er could’ve used spatial techniques to teleport him to safety, but he had already used that escape during a recent secret realm expedition.

Even Ye Shuang’er couldn’t help him now.

That was why she had never approved of this reckless plan in the first place. If anything went wrong, he’d be doomed.

“Are you serious?”

Liu Yanran opened her eyes, looking at Xiao Fan with interest as he knelt and begged.

His venomous gaze, of course, couldn’t escape her notice—but she didn’t care. Gaining one of Yan She’s lackeys was a victory in itself.

“Absolutely! I swear it! Please save me!”

“Fine.”

“Get out of my way. Don’t block me.”

Liu Yanran casually flicked her hand, sending a blast of wind that smacked Xiao Fan across the face and hurled him far away.

The blow was so strong, Xiao Fan coughed up blood again—and the rage in his heart surged further.

“If you dare look at me like that again, I’ll gouge your eyes out,” Liu Yanran said coldly.

Xiao Fan immediately lowered his head in fear.

She wasn’t bluffing. Liu Yanran was, after all, a proud genius of the Heavenly Dao Holy Sect with Golden Core Realm cultivation.

Had he not been useful, that slap alone could’ve ended him.

He was just a worthless nobody who couldn’t even hold off a beast horde.

If not for Xiao Fan’s meddling, she would’ve cleaned up the beasts long ago.

To her, Xiao Fan’s earlier performance was nothing more than a monkey show.

Now that the nuisance was gone, Liu Yanran released her aura as a Golden Core Realm expert.

Even Xiao Fan, from a distance, was shocked by the pressure.

Sure, he was the child of destiny and could fight above his level—but what, geniuses of the Heavenly Dao Holy Sect couldn’t?

Looking at Liu Yanran’s overwhelming strength, Xiao Fan’s desire to join the sect grew stronger.

Only a top-tier sect like the Heavenly Dao Holy Sect was worthy of someone like him!

Just then, the beasts that had been blown away earlier let out a furious roar and charged back in.

They surged like a tidal wave, their numbers vast and terrifying, shaking the earth as they approached.

“Watch out!”

Xiao Fan instinctively shouted.

Whether he lived or died now depended on Liu Yanran. Naturally, he didn’t want her to be in danger.

Besides, she was soon to be his so-called “master.” A timely warning might leave a good impression, maybe soften her stance a bit.

As for running?

Xiao Fan didn’t dare.

That slap from Liu Yanran had wrecked his internal organs, worsening his already severe injuries.

At this point, even a few Foundation Establishment Realm beasts could kill him.

Besides, he still had his little fantasy…

In Xiao Fan’s eyes, Liu Yanran was his destined Dao companion. He still clung to hope.

If only… if only she would change her heart now… then he, magnanimous as ever, could forgive her.
