Chapter 789 - 789: Scarlet Eyes
Chapter 789: Chapter 789: Scarlet Eyes
Suddenly, Daniel Marshall swung a punch at Simon Howard, “Are you helping me solve problems? You are just complicating things!”
“…”
“What should I tell my mom if anything happens to Grace Ziegler?”
“…”
“Grace Ziegler is a bit ambitious, but she’s not completely evil.” Daniel’s eyes rolled with rage as he glared at Simon Howard.
Daniel threw away his golf equipment in frustration and left in a hurry.
Simon’s face showed signs of a bruise, yet he still picked up the golf equipment and followed Daniel.
What will be, will be!
If fate loves to play with people, there’s nothing we can do!
…
In the car, Daniel made a call to his grandfather from his private phone.
It took a while for the old man to pick up Daniel’s call.
The old man’s expression was very serious, his face looking stern and formidable. Clearly, he was not pleased.
Daniel anxiously said, “Grandpa, let Grace go. If you want to blame someone, blame me. Don’t vent your anger on her.”
“Daniel, do you realize what you’re doing? Would we have ended up in this situation today if you weren’t so indecisive? I told you, as long as that woman causes trouble, my tolerance for her actions will end, she’s shamed herself – I’ll make her pay.”
Daniel’s deep eyes shone with unease, “Grandpa, I have my own plan, please don’t intervene! I know what I am doing, and I have been very cautious, so please don’t mess with my plans.”
“What? I am messing with your plans? Daniel, are you trying to break up your own family? You’re indulging that vixen, you’re hurting Olivia Jenkins, you’re hurting yourself, don’t you see that?
That woman has been having an affair with that man behind your back. She’s scheming against you while you’re on your way to the golf club. Don’t you know she is calculating against you? Hmm? Do you want her to make a complete mess of your life?” The grandfather’s body trembled slightly with anger, his face frighteningly stiff, and disappointment was evident in his voice.
Daniel’s icy face showed a brief flicker of emotion, “Even if that is the case, grandpa, it’s none of your business. Leave Grace alone. I will protect her, or else, I won’t be so polite.”
Red rage was evident on the old man’s face, his eyes about to spout fire from anger, “Are you threatening me? Are you challenging me?”
Daniel said in a low voice, “I didn’t mean that, you are driving me to this! I have my own goals. Please, do not interfere in my affairs anymore. You can scold me, you can vent all your fury on me, just don’t hurt Grace, I won’t allow it.”
“Foolish!”
“Grandpa, you are too arbitrary. Your actions will only backfire and will not result in what you desire.”
The old man felt as if he was about to drop dead from the fury, he indignantly said, “Fine, I won’t care about you anymore. Even if you lose everything one day, it’s your own doing, and you deserve a good lesson.”
“As long as I’m still alive, I’ll just watch how that bitch toys with you. I promise you, I will never lift a finger to help you again in this lifetime. I don’t want to see you for the rest of my life.”
After his speech, the old man hung up the phone.
A while later, Daniel received a call from the old man’s people asking him to pick someone up.
When he saw Grace Ziegler, with her face swollen like a pig’s head, blood stains on her mouth and clothes, looking almost lifeless and semi-conscious, Daniel quickly lifted her up, yelling at Simon Howard, “Go to the hospital now, saving her is the priority!”
