He Clings to Me Every Night

Chapter 787 - 787: Foreseeing Danger

Chapter 787: Chapter 787: Foreseeing Danger

Daniel Marshall was displeased, his cold eyes fixed on Simon Howard, “Previously, in the PR department, didn’t Grace Ziegler often go to the golf course? Isn’t she a member? It’s her day off today. Isn’t it normal for her to show up nearby?”

Simon Howard moved his lips, but pressed on anyway, “Anyway, you manage your relationship with her. I just know Olivia doesn’t like this woman. If she finds out you are still ambiguous with her, given Olivia’s personality, she might not forgive you.”

Daniel’s gloomy eyes narrowed, staring ominously at Simon Howard.

Instantly, Simon shut up and walked towards Grace Ziegler.

Daniel immediately drove away.

Daniel was particularly annoyed by people who were suspicious. They kept harping on the impossible between him and Grace Ziegler.

He could understand a woman’s jealousy, but Olivia always had an issue with his relationship with Grace, which gave him a headache.

More than once, he had explained to Olivia that he only saw Grace as a sister, but she still didn’t believe him.

If he acknowledged his mother in the future, he wondered if Olivia would let it go.

Simon abruptly pulled Isaac Mitchell aside, dragging him away.

Instantly, Simon’s eyes flashed murderously. His face was cold, staring fiercely at Isaac Mitchell, “Get the hint and scram! If you dare pester her again, I’ll kill you!”

The other party was very strong and his fierce demeanor was frightening. Isaac Mitchell gave Simon a glance and was so scared that he ran off scramblingly.

Grace Ziegler’s face was full of tears. Seeing Simon as the one who came, she was somewhat disappointed but she also expected this outcome.

Grace was somewhat relieved. After all, Chief Daniel Marshall seemed to care about her and treat her well, which was why he had Mr. Howard rescue her.

It looked like she bet right again. On his day off, Chief Daniel Marshall did go to the golf course. He must have seen her being bullied by Isaac Mitchell. Perhaps Chief Daniel Marshall pitied her.

Confronting Mr. Howard, Grace pretended to sob. She also wanted to thank Mr. Howard.

Simon impatiently stared at Grace. He always found this woman annoying; she was nowhere near as innocent as a harmless little bunny.

If there were no calculations, Simon wouldn’t believe it. “Enough, stop crying. If such thing happens again, immediately call the police. The man just now is your ex-boyfriend, right? If you want to break up, do it thoroughly. Who are you putting on a show for with your dragging feet and trailing water? Who do you want to pity you? You’re young, but you sure are scheming!”

Grace put on a very aggrieved look and cried harder, tears continuously pouring out of her eyes, “Mr. Howard, I am grateful for your help. But, I don’t understand what you mean. Who would want to be bullied by such a person? Do you think that a ruffian would listen to reason? If they can understand human words, would they still be called ruffians?”

“Whether you’re scheming or not, you know in your own heart. There’s no use pretending in front of me. Take care of yourself. Daniel is a family man. He won’t be interested in you in the slightest. You better give up that thought as soon as possible!”

After taking a hard stare at Grace, Simon Howard also completely ignored Grace’s vulnerability and simply left.

Before getting into the car, Simon instinctively looked back.

Simon had already sensed something wasn’t quite right around him, but he pretended not to know, not wanting to meddle in other’s business.

After Simon left, unexpectedly, Grace was silenced by two men who came up from behind and dragged her into one of the sedans.

Suddenly, Grace was so frightened that she couldn’t even cry, and her crying instinctively stopped.
