Harry Potter: I'm an Exemplary Student

Chapter 44: Chapter 044: The Chomping Cabbage

The third day of school at Hogwarts is probably the day that Hufflepuff first-year students look forward to the most because not only is this day a Friday, but the courses are also the ones they are most interested in.

In the morning, there was an herbal medicine class taught by Dean Sprout, and in the afternoon, there were Defense Against the Dark Arts and Flight classes.

They and Gryffindor came to the greenhouse outside Hogwarts Castle early in the morning.

"Good morning, classmates, and welcome to the Herbology Class."

Pomona Sprout is a short witch with flowing gray hair. Her clothes are always dusted because she usually stays in the greenhouse playing with flowers and plants.

Compared to the other Professors with a high title, she looks more like an inconspicuous gardener.

But Professor Sprout herself didn't care about this. She stood at the door of the greenhouse, looked at the little wizards in front of her seriously, and said.

"Before entering the greenhouse, I have to tell you something, it's very important."

"First of all, all the magical plants grown in the greenhouse are dangerous. Even ordinary plants have sharp thorns, so you are not allowed to touch any plants without my permission."

"Also, loud noises and screaming are not allowed after entering the greenhouse. Because here are temporarily stored several new plants that I just received from Hogwarts. They are still adapting to the environment, and the harsh sound may scare them."

"Do you understand everything? "

"Understood!" everyone replied in unison.

"Very good." Professor Sprout nodded.

After entering the greenhouse, she arranged everyone on the left side, leaving all the seats on the right empty.

Even if she didn't arrange it this way, no little wizard would be willing to go there.

"Professor, what the hell are those!" A Gryffindor freshman looked at the row of strange yellow plants opposite him, and his face turned green.

Merlin's beard. This was the first time he saw a cabbage with fangs, and the mouth was almost as big as his head. If he was bitten, the consequences would definitely be disastrous.

Thinking of this, he moved back again.

"Chomping Cabbage, you'd better stay away from it." Professor Sprout pretended to be relaxed and said. "But don't be too nervous. Although they look scary, they are all good children. As long as they are not irritating. If you reach it, there will be absolutely no danger."

"And in a few days, after they have adapted to the environment here, they will be moved to a larger greenhouse, and you won't be able to see them when you have class next time."

"Okay." Professor Sprout clapped his hands and said, "Let's start class now, turn the book to the first page, we are going to learn Devil's Snare today. Does anyone know what Devil's Snare is..."

This Herbology would be perfect if you ignore the scary-looking cabbages.

Professor Sprout has an extremely rich knowledge of magical plants, and his detailed explanations and physical references make it easy for little wizards to learn.

By the time get out of class was over, almost everyone could answer every question she asked perfectly.

This made Professor Sprout very happy. He gave each House three points and gave each of them a Moly.

This thing is equivalent to the "Band-Aid" in the Wizarding World. Kyle has used it frequently, and the effect is very good. As long as it is cleaned and fixed on the wound, it will basically heal the next day.

Of course, it is limited to those small wounds encountered in daily life. If it is too serious, you need to use Wiggenweld Potion.

After class, everyone walked out of the greenhouse together.

Mikel found Kyle in the crowd, ran to Kyle, and asked curiously. "What did you pick up just now?"

"What did you say?" Kyle looked at him doubtfully and said, "I just loosening the soil for Devil's Snare."

"I've seen it all." Mikel said confidently. "When Professor Sprout turned around to get the shovel, you ran to the other side and picked up something under those flower pots."

"Ohh that's what you're talking about!" Kyle suddenly said. "It's nothing, it's just that the fertilizer bag the Professor gave me fell over there. I go over and pick it up."

"Fertilizer bag?" Mikel looked at Kyle suspiciously, obviously not believing what he said.

It's a very light and small bag, and it's not round. No matter how Mikel thinks about it, it won't fall that far.

"Well, maybe I kicked it accidentally. I was scared when I found out." Kyle said with a scared look on his face. "Those Chomping Cabbages are really scary. To be honest, if it weren't for the fear of Professor Sprout will deduct our points, and I won't pick it up."

"is that so?"

Hearing what Kyle said, Mikel gradually gave up his doubts, nodded, and said. "Those Chomping Cabbages look scary, and I would not dare go there."

"Who says it isn't?" Kyle spread his hands and said. "By the way, did Professor Sprout say when she would teach you how to control magic?"

"Well, the Professor asked me to find her on Saturday and Sunday mornings."

Mikel said with some frustration. "This is the first weekend at Hogwarts, and I actually have to go to class..."

"There's nothing we can do about it." Kyle patted him on the shoulder and comforted him. "You can't keep drinking magic suppressing potion."

Hearing Kyle's words, Mikel shuddered subconsciously and shook his head repeatedly, saying, "You're right. I'd rather not spend the weekends than drink that stuff anymore."

...

After returning to the castle, Kyle asks Mikel and Ryan to return to the dormitory first. He went straight to the seventh floor with the pretext of going to the library and found the tapestry of the trolls beating Barnabas the Barmy.

Barnabas the Barmy was a wizard who tried to teach the trolls to dance ballet but was beaten up by six trolls.

Judging from the content on the tapestry, he should have been beaten badly.

After confirming that there was no problem with the location, Kyle took a deep breath and went back and forth three times nearby while silently reciting in his heart.

"I need a greenhouse for planting."

When Kyle passed by the tapestry for the third time, a round arch appeared on the opposite wall.

Kyle did not hesitate, grasped the brass handle, pushed the door open, and walked in.

A unique fragrance of soil suddenly came to his face.

Although he had expected it, the scene before him still stunned Kyle. This room is almost as big as the Great Hall. There is fertile land under his feet, and he can even see the sun when he looks up.

It is probably some kind of spell.

Kyle tentatively whispered.

"I need rain."

The next second, the initially sunny room suddenly began to rain heavily, and the rain seemed to have consciousness and only fell on the soil. Kyle stood there and didn't even get his hair wet.

"It's amazing." Kyle exclaimed sincerely.

This is the Room of Requirement.

Using this place as a second-hand storage room or something is a waste of resources.
