Chapter 1212: Part 1: Tommy Anderson's clever decision

Anderson Mansion:

"I think the culprit tried to capture you. Fortunately, nothing like that happened," Tommy said with a smile.

Cory recalled everything. She broke out into a cold sweat the next second.

"Father, what happened to the others?" she asked.

"Don't worry, they are fine. You should take a rest right now. I have an emergency meeting to attend," Tommy said before leaving.

He didn't reveal this kidnapping incident to anyone else.

When he was gone, Cory wiped her sweat beads using a handkerchief. She had truly fallen into danger this time. This was the first time she experienced danger in her own territory.

A wave of tiredness washed over her. She decided to sleep and take a long rest.

A few hours later,

Inside the meeting hall, all the main elders were gathered, except for the 1st and 11th Elders. The main elders are part of the upper hall. Their number is 20.

Only the top 10 main elders have an important say in the decisions. The rest of them were only there to make up the numbers. The 5th Elder Alec and 6th Elder Vera were seated as well.

They had recovered from the unknown drug that was polluting their mana. Right now, their expressions were tense. They heard what happened to Miss Cory right after regaining consciousness from the Family Head.

Both were petrified at that time. Fortunately, the Family Head didn't accuse them. It was Miss Cory who determined everything from beginning to end.

Now, they didn't know who managed to knock them out and tried to kidnap Miss Cory while they had their own inner thoughts.

Someone else was panicking for a different reason. The person was none other than a middle-aged man over fifty, seated in the 2nd chair. The 2nd Chair represents the position of the 2nd Elder.

He had a well-built physique and a majestic appearance. His name is Blevins. None of the other main elders were ready to make eye contact with him.

"What happened to that old man?" Blevins asked in his heart.

The old man who drugged everyone was none other than the 1st Elder. The 2nd Elder Blevins knew that the old man had done research on drugs.

So when he heard that people were drugged by an unknown method, he immediately thought of the old man. Both of them opposed the Family Head.

They had been trying to change the Family Head position to someone else since the Family Head came from the main lineage with a powerful bloodline.

They found it hard to convince others. That's why they had created a rift between the True Elements Society and The Anderson Family.

Their goal was to use captured True Elements Society wizards to offend the True Elements Society. Then the True Elements Society would do everything to rescue them.

He had even tried to kill one of the captured wizards to strengthen the grudge, but the Family Head stopped him midway. Now the prison guards are the eyes and ears of the Family Head.

He couldn't go there without permission. Just as he was looking for other ways, the old man caused this incident. Thinking about it made his heart boil with anger.

He couldn't wait to confront the old man and ask why. Now he didn't know where he was hiding. If the Family Head found out that the 1st Elder was behind the incident, then he would have an opportunity to deal with them.

Creak!

The next second, Family Head Tommy walked into the room. Upon seeing him, everyone stood up to greet him. Tommy sat in his main chair and asked everyone to sit.

Alec and Vera looked nervous. Right now, the death of two lower hall elders wasn't important. They thought the Family Head was going to talk about the kidnapping incident.

Blevins's eyes flashed with a gleam. He quickly hid his hidden intentions.

Tommy's gaze swept across everyone, including the 2nd Elder Blevins, but he noticed the absence of the 1st Elder.

"What happened to the 1st Elder?" he asked.

Blevins furrowed his eyebrows. He was cursing the old man again for putting him alone in this situation. Whenever there was a meeting, they teamed up to oppose the Family Head. Right now, he didn't know what to do.

The 5th and 6th Elders were surprised as well. Everyone knew about the 1st and 2nd Elders. They were like a sinister duo that didn't miss any opportunity to attend the meeting.

Now the 2nd Elder was present, but the 1st Elder was missing. Everyone showed a confused expression.

Tommy noticed everyone's reaction and raised his eyebrows.

He then asked, "2nd Elder, where is he?"

Blevins cursed in his heart before replying, "I don't know. Maybe he is locked up in his research lab."

Hearing that, everyone found it reasonable. But Tommy felt it strange. Whenever something major happens, both the 1st and 2nd Elders joined forces to attack him.

Now the 1st Elder was missing during a rare opportunity. He found it hard to believe. He then quickly pushed away these thoughts.

"Alright, I'm here to discuss the enemy who infiltrated our territory. He killed 2 lower hall elders before drugging others."

"Most importantly, he tried to kidnap my daughter. But he failed to do so in the end," Tommy said.

His words fell like a thunderclap in everyone's ears.

"F@ck," 2nd Elder Blevins almost cursed out loud.

He knew that sickly old man had been coveting the blood of the main lineage. He had made several attempts in the past, but all of them ended in failure.

Because of this, the Family Head had formed protection guards around here. He didn't expect that the old man's intention behind the drugging was kidnapping.

"Damn you," Blevins cursed in his heart.

It wasn't because he was disgusted by the old man's actions; rather, he was pissed off by the fact that the old man had kept him in the dark.

Now he understood why the old man was not here, but he was confused about another thing.

"Why would he kill two elders?" he thought.

Only the old man could answer him. Next, Blevins sighed in relief upon hearing the Family Head's words. The attention was now on the intruder.
