Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Silver, the Metal Slime, could be said to have been blessed after being nourished by the Mana Lake. It was an experience that none of Shane's other subordinates would be able to achieve since they could not come to the Fairy Realm just yet.

"Ohh…" Shane glanced at the selection for a moment before selecting the Random Elite Giftpacks. Although the Instant Experience Potion was really good, the items he'd get from the Elite Giftpacks would be a lot more useful.

Soon, the chamber fell silent, save for the heavy breathing of the survivors.

Thud…

At this time, they were all looking at the Metal Slime that had slowly returned to its original size… The Plaguebringer Zombie was already dead and its scattered flesh was all over the ground.

Shane wiped his blade clean, eyeing the two massive doors at the far end of the hall.

"I'll loot the two to get all the drops possible… The items would be distributed later." Shane said as he proceeded to loot the two Commander Type Zombies.

He then looted the Bone Cleaver first.

"This is good…" Shane muttered as he saw that the Skill Scroll that he obtained was something specific and not random like he had obtained from other Zombies before.

As for the Boneforged Plating, Shane a quick glance at its description, and it was described as an ultra-durable skeletal armor material, ideal for crafting high-defense gear.

Sundering Shockwave was definitely quite a good Skill to obtain especially for the melee fighters in their current lineup…

Then, Shane continued to loot the next one.

"Awesome…" Shane couldn't help but feel excited as he looked at the items. He had seen the Pestilent Cloud and it was definitely a skill that Shinja and many others would like.

Nonetheless, he also checked the Toxin Sacs if he could actually use them or just trade them for some items in the market instead.

Soon, Shane saw its description telling that it was a highly concentrated venom that could be refined into lethal poisons or antidotes.

'I should probably give this to Anna or Shinja.' Shane thought to himself as he looked at his group.

"The next chamber is where the Zombie Lord is located… With the missing two Commander-Type Zombies, we can expect that they were all inside the chamber." He turned to his team. "Consume all the potions provided since we can't afford a long rest." Shane said as he looked at his team who seemed to be uncomfortable with all the gore and the stench of the place.

None of them wanted to stay here for long either.

"We're ready, Leader…" Raze said as she finally decided to call out Roan, her dragon, from her tattoo mark.

Thud!

Roan's appearance immediately boosted everyone's morale…

Raze was informed that the plan was to use Roan against the Zombie Lord because of his high vitality and a strong defense that would be useful against the Zombie Lord. Because of that, they had decided to not use Roan to ensure that he wouldn't get physically or mentally exhausted.

They needed him to be at his peak condition in this battle.

Name: Eclipse Wraith Colossus

[ Description: The Eclipse Wraith Colossus is an enormous undead that lives in the darkness. Its form itself radiates darkness that could hallucinate other living creatures. It had a special ability that corrupts souls within other people's bodies and puts them into agony. Few can withstand its devastating strikes, which rupture the very fabric of space. As one of the legendary guardians of Sofia, its presence was made to eliminate any type of beings considered as a threat. ]

"Finally, I'm at my last Zombie Lord raid to finish my ascension quest." Shane muttered to himself.

Soon, the massive doors to the Zombie Lord's inner chamber were opened… The air here was that good as well but certainly not as bad as the one being emitted by the Plaguebringer.

Soon, Shane and the others threw Light Orbs to light up the cold place.

Indeed, this inner chamber had no lights coming from its windows. It seemed that the windows were deliberately blocked, which was understandable considering the Zombie Lord's nature.

Clink… Clink… Clink…

As several light orbs lit up the whole place, Shane and the others finally saw their enemies.

The chamber was a vast, cathedral-like hall with dozens of obsidian pillars supporting the hall.

At the far end, seated upon a throne made of something that looked like a slimy flesh, was the Zombie Lord himself—the Eclipse Wraith Colossus.

It looked like a Wraith but it was armored and huge…

Then, to its side were the two remaining Commander-Type Zombies. Shane and the others also received notification from the system for the two.

In any case, these two were quite similar to Bone Cleaver as it seemed that they were figures that uses bones to their advantage. One of them was called the Hallow Giant and the other was called the Dread Titan.

[ The Hollow Giant – A gigantic, jawless zombie but with a huge throat that emitted a soul-draining scream. Its arms ended in scythe-like bone protrusions, capable of cleaving through steel. ]

[ The Dread Titan – A skeletal titan protected by bone armor, wielding a massive executioner's axe made of hardened bone. Its movements were slow but could hit with a strong force. ]

Shane's eyes narrowed as he saw the two. "Just as we expected… All of them are here."

Roan, then let out a deep growl, as the dragon threatened the Zombies.

At this time, everyone felt Roan's warm aura, protecting them from the coldness of the chamber. This dragon stood at the forefront and his massive body acted as a living shield for the team.

"Remember the plan," Shane said. "Roan holds the Zombie Lord's attention. The rest of us take down the Commanders first. Then—we finish this."

The team readied themselves and nodded.

The Hollow Giant was the first to act.

It was quick but everyone saw it clearly…

Its throat pulsated for a moment before unleashing a deafening shriek!

Screech~

However, even if they saw the creature move, the attack was too fast.

There was no way they could dodge this either! They could only use their Aura and other items with passive effects to defend against it.

The soundwave ripped through the air, shattering stones and disorienting the team.

Nia endured this attack for a moment and immediately slammed her staff into the ground, erecting a barrier of living vines that absorbed the worst of the scream.

"Its voice disrupts focus! Don't let it trap you!"

Kain, in his werewolf form, didn't wait. He was the first to pounce forward after seeing Roan attack the Zombie Lord!

They had to do their part since they knew that Roan wouldn't be able to hold on for a long time.

Kain then used his claws and slashed at the Hollow Maw's legs—only for the zombie to counter with a scythe-arm swipe!

Whoosh~

Kain barely dodged as the blade grazed his shoulder and drew some blood. Thankfully, he was resistant to Zombie Virus while he was in his Werewolf form, so he wasn't too worried about getting infected.

"Tundra!" Shane shouted.

The bomber then grinned, slapping his palm against the Hollow Giant's torso and leg…

"Fire in the hole." Tundra said before quickly using his Armored Dash to ran away…

BOOM!

An explosion then tore through the Hollow Giant's chest, sending it stumbling back—but it regenerated instantly, its flesh knitting back together incredibly fast!

"Persistent bastard," Tundra muttered but he didn't look disappointed. After all, he only used two bombs just now but he was able to open that Zombie by that much. It means that his attacks were quite effective!

Meanwhile, the Dread Titan marched forward with its axe...

With a single swing, it cleaved the ground in half, sending a shockwave of dark energy toward the team!

Boom!

Shenlong then moved quickly. He blocked the shockwave with his palm and redirected it upward… Then, he leaped forward and landed in front of the Dread Titan, delivering a palm strike to its stomach!

Thud!

The force of the blow cracked its armor, but the zombie barely flinched!

It was able to endure the Aura that came from that blow. It should be capable of destroying its internal organs but it seemed ineffective against the Titan, unlike other Zombies.
