Chapter 484: Return
The others were immediately confused as soon as they heard about the Vampire's Rise Apocalypse. They also had conversations with the members of their clan, discussing the Apocalypse Options they had been given. Most of them had only two or three options, and the Zombie Apocalypse seemed to be their best choice at the time.
After all, options like Demon Invasion, Ragnarok, or Dragon Awakening seemed far scarier at that time since they would not be fighting humans. On the other hand, they believed that the Zombies were manageable because they thought they would just be fighting against infected humans with slow movement and an obvious weakness: their brains.
As for the Vampire's Rise Apocalypse, they weren't sure about it at all. However, since they already knew about six or seven Apocalypses based on what they had heard, they weren't too surprised if there were ten possible options in total. Of course, Apocalypses like the rise of vampires, a nuclear fallout, elemental cataclysm, and others had also crossed their minds. But since it wasn't a pressing matter, they didn't dwell on it too much.
"Why did you ask?" Travis immediately inquired. "Is it related to the Vampire your Clan warned us about?"
He knew that Raze and the others who had informed them about the Vampires' weaknesses and their existence were from the Eclipse Revenant. Thanks to their warning and shared information, many shelters that had been attacked by Vampires were able to fight back effectively.
The others were also curious and looked at Shane, especially Lesley and Lancelot, who had fought against Statham the Vampire when he dared to attack a shelter near their Overlord Clan. They all had similar questions in their minds.
"Yes," Shane explained. "Statham, that Vampire, isn't a normal Survivor who just wanted to kill other Survivors. You might have noticed that he wasn't even in the top 100 Survivors, but he was incredibly strong. According to the clues I've gathered, he might have come from a different apocalypse called Vampire's Rise and somehow entered this realm after clearing it or something."
"What?!" Natalie was shocked, as she had never considered this possibility.
"That's a lot to take in, Shane," Alexander said. "I don't think I can easily believe all of that."
The others nodded in agreement, but Travis squinted his eyes as he considered this carefully. After all, everything that had happened to them was already too magical and something he would never have imagined. However, here they were, fighting against Zombies that they could only see in movies or games. If Shane, the Rank 1 Survivor, said it, it wouldn't be surprising if it was the truth.
"Interesting," Travis said, which made Shane's smile widen. "If that's the case, I guess it's true that there were other batches."
"What do you mean?" Asad asked, looking at Travis, who seemed to have discovered something.
Travis wryly smiled and replied, "I believe we're not the first batch of people to be sent into this Apocalypse. It wouldn't be surprising if other worlds had the same circumstances as ours. Perhaps they were also given options and sent here… like the Necromancers of the Wild Shelters."
As soon as Travis said this, everyone except Shane was stunned. They had never considered the origins of the Necromancers before. They had simply believed that they were enemies arranged by the system to be killed in order for them to get stronger. However, after thinking about it now, they realized that the Necromancers shouldn't be part of this Zombie Apocalypse at all. Unless they were sent here to eliminate the Zombies or gain control over them!
Anyway, Shane continued to share information about the Vampires and how to deal with them. After all, he didn't want Statham to grow even stronger. It would be a huge problem if he managed to make the top rankers his followers and come after them.
After some time, they eventually concluded their discussion with handshakes, forming a decent relationship. At the very least, none of them would fight if they crossed paths outside.
Then, everyone returned to their groups, and Shane also met with Raze and the others, sharing what he had discussed with the other leaders.
After a couple of days had passed, the atmosphere in the waiting zone began to change. The Survivors buzzed with anticipation as the system began its final countdown to the conclusion of the Zombie Challenge.
[ System Announcement: The Zombie Challenge Event is Ending Soon! ]
[ Remaining Time: 00:10:00]
[ All participants will be teleported back to the continent shortly. Prepare for departure. ]
After receiving this notification from the system, Survivors scrambled to finish their last-minute preparations. Some who were still undecided about whether to buy or sell items were forced to make quick decisions. It wasn't too surprising to see this at all.
Anyway, Shane saw others completing their trades, holding hurried meetings, and saying goodbye to their new friends, but there were still a few who simply sat quietly, savoring the final moments of peace in the Waiting Zone.
Well, this was such a beautiful place... It was completely safe with the arrangements of the system and guards mixed among the people. Even if there were some arguments, it would be immediately settled by these powerful guards.
With such a high level of security, it was no wonder why a lot of people were enjoying their stay here.
At this time, Shane stood among his Eclipse Revenant Clan members as he chatted with them. Well, he hoped that everyone would be safe until they could meet again.
As the countdown reached zero, the system chimed once more.
[ System Announcement: Event Concluded! ]
[ All participants are now returning to the continent. ]
[ Good luck, Survivors.]
In an instant, a brilliant light engulfed the waiting zone, and the Survivors began to vanish one by one. Soon, Shane felt the familiar pull of the teleportation process, and in the blink of an eye, the scenery around him dissolved.
"Hmm?"
When Shane opened his eyes, he did not find himself on the continent as he had expected. He didn't meet Lysandra and his three Epic Recruits, Vernon, Nian, and Kale.
'Where am I?' Shane thought as he observed his surroundings.
He wasn't in his familiar tent; instead, he was standing in an elegant room. The atmosphere in the room was a bit familiar as he looked around. The walls were adorned with carvings depicting forests, stars, and magical runes. It was a beautiful sight that he'd normally see in ancient settings.
Anyway, he soon detected someone else's presence in the room.
Suddenly, an elf with silver hair appeared, her green eyes glowing as if she had teleported. She wore a scholarly attire—a flowing robe of deep green and gold embroidery, which felt familiar.
'Administrator…' Shane thought.
Indeed, Shane recognized her immediately. He may not know her name, but he had experienced similar events before. The first was at the end of the Auction, and the other was during the Boss Raid event. It was no longer surprising when he saw the Elf Administrator.
"Welcome, Shane…" Anastasia said, her voice melodic yet commanding. "I apologize for the abrupt detour, but I wished to speak with you personally. I'm Anastasia, an Administrator."
'Oh? She introduced herself.' Shane thought, recalling that the other admins hadn't bothered to introduce themselves at all.
Anyway, it wasn't every day one encountered an Administrator face-to-face. He straightened his posture and maintained a calm demeanor.
"So, it's Administrator Anastasia," Shane said with a slight nod. "I wasn't expecting this… What's going on?"
He didn't want to mention that he had received gifts from a previous admin, so he decided to act completely innocent.
Anastasia's lips curved into a gentle smile after hearing his response. She seemed amused.
"You've proven yourself exceptional, Shane. Your performance in the Challenge Event surpassed our expectations. Not only did you demonstrate skill and resilience, but the blessing you possess is quite impressive. There's no way to fake it. It's rare to see someone who isn't an elf possess the Fairy Queen's blessing."
"So you're aware of it...."
Shane narrowed his eyes slightly. Of course, he still enjoyed being complimented, especially by a beautiful Elf Administrator. "I appreciate the acknowledgment, but why bring me here?"

Anastasia's smile widened as she waved her hand. A small table appeared between them, and on it lay ten crystalline stones… Beside these ten stones was a small opened wooden box containing five pills.
Anastasia then spoke. "We don't have a lot of time, but I just want to ensure that the Blessed of the Fairy Queen will be safe until you fulfill the mission She had given you. These are Epic Elf Recruitment Stones and Elven Nature Pills. A gift from me, exclusive to you."
Shane's eyes lit up after seeing these. The Recruitment Stones were far better than he expected. They were actually Epic Grades! They were so much better than the previous Elf Recruitment Stones.
"You're probably aware of what these could do… With these stones, you can summon elves of significant skill and talent to join you… As for these pills… I hope you'll use them wisely."
