"This is the last one?" An ethereal voice echoed in a dark room, followed by the sound of a lifeless body falling to the ground. Standing in the middle of an ordinary-looking room, she cleaned the blade in her hand before placing it back in its sheath.

Despite the strong smell of blood inside the room, the woman dressed in black clothes that hid her identity moved her gaze away from the body.

"Not really, but the rest of them are in the arena, and it's difficult for us to act when they are in such a place." From the depths of the shadow of the room, another figure in similar clothing to that of the woman walked out, shaking her head.

From the gaps of the cloth on her face, one could see the indifferent look in her silver star-like eyes.

"I still do not understand why that guy would send you to such a place with me." The first woman snorted coldly before taking out a talisman and throwing it on the dead body.

As soon as the talisman landed on the body, black flames enveloped it and the blood seeping out of it. Soon, the flames burned everything before dying out.

Seeing that there was not even a speck of trace left of the man, the two of them nodded in satisfaction.

"He told me that he and Aunt had to take care of some things. It appears to be very important as they haven't returned to the sect for days."

"Could it be they are doing something unspeakable behind our backs while sending us to do this kind of work?"

"I didn't know that Elder Shisan had been this interested in his life." Ruo'er rolled her eyes, seeing the woman scoffing in disdain. She could tell that she was annoyed because they had been asked to clear the 'trash' while the man's whereabouts were unknown.

"Hmph, who would be interested in that guy's life? Let's return to the sect now." Shisan snorted coldly, tore another talisman in her hands, and opened a tear the size of an adult human before her.

Seeing the tear in the air, both women stepped through it one by one without looking back, and the portal closed, returning the room to its previous state.

Not a single trace of anyone intruding or killing a person could be seen in the room.

Noah had no idea he was being cursed behind his back. He focused his attention fully on guiding the two kids before him.

Before him, Han Lu and Ming Ming showed signs of slight exhaustion while dealing with the beasts.

Aside from being slightly breathless, there were no signs of injury on their bodies. At this moment, there were less than 10 spirit beasts alive and targeting them.

"They have improved a lot." Noah nodded, hearing the praise coming from the woman sitting beside him, watching over them as if she were seeing a good show.

Her attitude changed pretty fast during this time; before, she was reluctant to let them fight, and now she was enjoying their suffering like this.

But what she said was true as well; the two of them were working together flawlessly and making up for each other's weaknesses. 'As expected of geniuses, I guess.'

Not only were they working properly as a team, but they also got used to dealing with the beast tide. Han Lu came close to getting injured a few times, but Ming Ming did not fail to provide timely assistance.

"They should be finishing up soon."

Now that the pressure of the number had dropped significantly, the two of them increased their speed and moved more nimbly to kill the beasts.

One by one, they swiftly killed the beasts without wasting too much of their energy.

With a final move, both a fire slash and a wind arrow mutilated the last Fiery Sun Bull.

Thud!

As soon as the two of them finished dealing with the beasts, Han Lu fell to the ground and lay with the sword beside him. Ming Ming also jumped down from the tree and leaned against it to rest.

"Tired already?" Hearing the familiar voice, the two of them twitched before groaning in annoyance.

Although they did not use all of their qi, their mental strength and endurance were running low.

"Don't tease them too much." Zhong Hua chuckled, hearing the mocking tone in his voice. She knew he was trying to lighten their mood.

But the look on their faces told that they were not amused at all.

Roar!

"What?" Before they could retort to Noah, Han Lu and Ming Ming froze, hearing another beast cry. "Didn't we finish all the beasts? Where is this voice coming from?"

Ming Ming, who somehow guessed something, looked around with a pale face. "Don't tell me the second wave already started?!"

Her shock turned into fear and despair, mirrored by Han Lu.

"You guessed it." Noah chuckled, seeing their expressions. "I guessed something like this might happen after seeing the look in the commentator's eyes before he sent us away."

"That damn sadist!" Ming Ming cursed out loud, not caring about her image, recalling the sadistic look on the commentator's face.

"Are you going to help us now? Don't tell me you are going to make us face this tide as well." Han Lu asked in desperation, his voice even shivering at the last sentence. Somehow, he believed Noah was no less of a sadist than the man overseeing their match.

"Do I look that cruel to you~" Noah asked in an amused tone as he unsheathed the sword on his waist. "Although the number of beasts is the same, their cultivation has reached the peak of rank 2. There is no way you two can defeat them in your current state."

With a wave of his hand, Noah sent the two of them to the same place he was sitting before. "Leave this tide to us and focus on recovering. The next tide will be even more devastating, after all."

Following Noah, Zhong Hua also brought out her whip, ready to face the tide head-on. Her eyes flashed with a bit of coldness and excitement.
