Chapter 506: Beast Tide [2]

"Han Lu, get ready, they are here! There are a total of 50 Fiery Sun Bulls coming towards us as he said!" From the top of the tree, Ming Ming gave the boy the information about everything she was seeing. "You deal with the beasts in the front, I will stop the others from coming closer to you."

Hearing that it was Fiery Sun Bulls attacking them, Han Lu almost felt like fleeing, but he stopped, hearing her words. He raised the sword in his hands in front of him and gulped audibly. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire

Rumble!

He could feel the ground beneath his feet trembling, the slight dust flying in the air showing deep shadows of fiery figures.

"Fiery Sun Bulls!" A soft exclamation left his mouth before he prepared himself to defeat the beasts.

Just as Noah said, the beasts were all of rank 2, and even though he couldn't deal with all of them easily, he had Ming Ming as support.

Woosh!

Just then, a sharp green light shot towards the beast tide from the same direction he heard Ming Ming's voice coming from.

BOOM!

As the green light struck the area between the beasts, it exploded, sending wind blades in all directions like a tornado.

"Moo!"

"Damn!" Han Lu gulped nervously, seeing the beasts roaring in pain but still moving in a frenzy.

"Although the attack was nice, it lacked power." Just then, the two of them heard Noah's soft voice reaching their ears, guiding them in ways to attack. "Han Lu, use the terrain to your advantage. Although they are fire affinity monsters, mindless bulls will find it difficult to move after their herd is disturbed from the previous attack."

Upon looking closely, they noticed it was just as Noah said. The beasts were shaken by the sudden attack, even though it wasn't very powerful. In pain, they struck trees in their path.

Blood could be seen trickling down their bodies as the beasts hoped the pain would go away soon.

Han Lu's eyes shone with a ruthless glint as he rushed forward while stepping on tree trunks.

The Fiery Sun Bull beasts roared at the boy, not being able to move agilely because of their numbers. They moved as if they were competing to see who would kill the human first.

Slash!

Han Lu's sword set ablaze as he performed his sword technique.

"Dance of Fire Demon!" With a sudden exclamation, Han Lu lunged towards the most injured bull and aimed for its neck. The flames in his sword gathered to form a small figurine of a demon that slashed at the bull.

With a single sweeping motion, the beast was beheaded. Seeing this, the boy grinned in satisfaction. This caused his mind to be distracted, which allowed the beast closest to him to lunge at his head with its horn pointing at him.

Han Lu froze in fear; he could see his life flashing before his eyes. This was the first time he had been this close to death, even though it was a fake one.

"What a disappointment." Before the horns could touch him, the boy heard a chilling sound echoing in the forest.

Splatter!

A ray of orange light flashed through the forest, blasting the head of the bull into pieces.

"This is the first and the last time I am helping. Ming Ming, do a better job as a supporter!" Both of them heard Noah's familiar voice reprimanding them.

Han Lu bit his lips, hearing the voice, and lunged back immediately, once more jumping on the trees. Ming Ming also did not say anything, but the next second, a few beams of bluish-white light moved like rain, slashing at all beasts that still tried to move closer to Han Lu.

With her precise aim, she was able to manipulate each beam to aim for the most vulnerable part of the beasts exposed to her.

Seeing them working better as a team, Noah, who was still sitting in the same place, smiled.

"So this was your plan all along." Zhong Hua also smiled behind the veil, understanding Noah's intention. "You are looking far ahead of others. I am sure the other teams would be trying their best to work as one team to kill beasts as fast as possible."

"Killing the beasts faster is not our objective, is it? It would be better for those two to get accustomed to beast tides in early waves rather than when we face the stronger ones."

Zhong Hua nodded, feeling that having Noah on her team was the best thing for her. Suddenly thinking of something, she couldn't help but ask, "What about me? How do you know if I have faced a beast tide or not and can fight against them?"

Hearing her question, Noah replied in an amused tone. "As soon as we appeared in this place, you were the first one beside me to be ready to attack at any time. Even though that little girl is a very skilled warrior, facing so many beasts at the same time needs separate experience, or you might get overwhelmed."

Hearing this, Zhong Hua shot a glance at the woman hiding in the tree branches while looking for an opening to attack the beasts. 'Just who are you?'

While the onslaught of beasts continued, the other teams did their best to fare well against similar beasts. Just as Zhong Hua predicted, some of the teams were already disqualified because of their lack of experience and harmony in the team.

Some teams were already close to finishing the first wave, but their bodies were not free of injuries.

"What an amusing boy. It's like seeing an experienced soldier on the battlefield." Zhong Ben commented with loud laughter. Most of his attention was on his daughter's team, so he was able to see everything Noah did from the start.

"Indeed, the boy seems to be very experienced with dealing with such situations compared to the rest." Wuhan also commented with a smile. His comment did not surprise anyone as the rest of the family heads were equally impressed.

"Let's see how far he can go in this tournament. I am looking forward to his performance."

"Indeed, your majesty is wise!"
