Game Over : Marvel Reboot

Chapter 3: Episode 3: "A New Beginning in YGGDRASIL"

The One was definitely a powerful god. With a simple tap on my back, I felt myself being whisked away, and the next thing I knew, I woke up peacefully—no pain, no panic, just a serene transition into what I could confidently say was another world.

I found myself in a space that was unmistakably the character creation phase of YGGDRASIL. How did I know? Well, for starters, my body was a blank slate—a white humanoid shape with no defining features. Floating in front of me were several holographic windows, one of which boldly displayed the words: Character Creation. Below it was sliders and options for every conceivable detail, from height and eye color to muscle definition and even the shape of my nose.

I took a deep breath, remembering my conversation with The One. This was my chance to create the body I would live in for the rest of my new life. My time in the Overlord world was limited—just five years—so I had to make every second count. I needed to gather resources, gain experience, and prepare myself for the challenges of the MCU. The One had given me an incredible opportunity, and I wasn't about to waste it.

I turned my attention to the character creation sliders, pushing all other thoughts to the back of my mind. This was my moment to craft my ideal self. In my previous life, I was never what you'd call a great-looking guy. But now? Now I had the chance to create the ultimate version of myself. And I wasn't going to hold back. After all, like any seasoned gamer, I'd always spent hours perfecting my own characters in other games. This was no different—except this time, it was real, as real as it could get, the 'Me' I created today would also be Me in the MCU, so by all means I would not mess this up.

I started with my face, shaping it into something timeless and striking. I went for an oval shape with sharp, defined cheekbones and a strong jawline—a classic handsomeness that blended the best of Manhwa and Western styles looks. My eyes were a deep, dark blue with a subtle metallic sheen, almond-shaped to give them a calm yet piercing gaze. I framed them with thick, dark lashes and added well-defined, slightly arched eyebrows for a touch of intensity.

"Damn! That's a cool looking eye…Hehehe".

I can already Imagine that with these eyes, I can confidently say to someone, 'lose yourself in my gaze' seductively, Anyway, Next came my nose—straight and proportionate, with a slight aquiline curve that added a refined elegance to my features. My lips were full, with a natural, slightly upturned curve that gave me a mysterious, almost enigmatic smile. The overall effect was a face that radiated calmness and composure, with an air of mystery that made it impossible to look away.

For my hair, I chose a soft, silky black with a medium length that could be tied back or left to fall naturally, with a few strands framing my face. My skin was fair and unblemished, smooth and flawless.

Then came my physique. I went all out, crafting a body that was the epitome of strength and agility. Broad, muscular shoulders, a sculpted chest and abs, and a V-shaped torso that tapered down to a narrow waist. My arms were thick and veined, hinting at raw power, while my legs were long and muscular, built for both speed and strength. And, of course, I didn't neglect my "little brother" down there. I made sure it was impressive—10.5 inches long, 2.5 inches thick, with prominent veins that gave it a mean, intimidating look. Hey, if I was going to live in this body, I might as well make it perfect, right?

When I was done, I stood back to admire my creation. At 190 cm tall, my new self was the picture of perfection—extraordinarily handsome, with a physique that could rival any model or adult actor. I chuckled to myself. If only my old self could see me now.

With my appearance finalized, I moved on to the next step: choosing my race, job, and assigning my attributes. True to its high-fantasy roots, YGGDRASIL offered a staggering array of races to choose from. I'd watched Overlord and loved it, but the anime hadn't delved deeply into the game's mechanics or its options. Still, I knew enough to understand that Heteromorphic races—like skeletons, slimes, and golems—faced discrimination in-game, even though they were often incredibly powerful.

"I don't really get it… why the heck would anyone hated the Heteromorphic players so much?"

In the Anime, Heteromorphic race got so much hate and shit, they were hunted down so much to the point even just leveling were hard. The folks brought human supremacy even in the game, why can't just people play the game and just be contend with that. That is why I like Momonga and the guilds, they took that shit and just decided to embrace their inner darkness and went off the rails with it.

As I scrolled through the options, I noticed something crucial: Heteromorphic races were essentially immortal if brought into the real world. Ainz Ooal Gown, the protagonist of Overlord, was an undead skeleton who didn't need to eat, sleep, or even breathe. That kind of immortality was tempting, but I needed to choose wisely. This wasn't just a game anymore—this was my future, also let's be really honest, I want to have some action as well, not gonna lie, I am a horny dude and I do like having sex and enjoyed them, having a body with no 'equipment' or even flesh, doesn't really suit my taste.

After about 30 minutes of reading descriptions and flavor text, I settled on the High Half-Elf race—a mix of High Human and High Elf. According to the description, High Half-Elves were semi-immortal, reaching physical maturity at 25 and then ceasing to age. They also had a high affinity for magic and nature, which suited my plans perfectly. I've learned from the anime, that descriptions and flavor text matter a lot, especially when the game stuff become a new reality, that is a fact.

"This is it," I thought. "This is the race for me. From now on, I am a High Half-Elf"

For my job, I chose Warrior, focusing on physical strength and combat prowess. I assigned my attribute points carefully, balancing strength, agility, and endurance. Then came the final decision: my starting location. YGGDRASIL was based on the Nine Realms of Norse mythology, and I had to choose where to begin my journey.

I selected Vanaheim, the realm of the Vanir gods and a natural home for a High Half-Elf like me. I knew that Ainz Ooal Gown and his guild had started in Helheim, but I didn't want to meet on them right away. I had my own path to forge, and I needed to grow stronger on my own before seeking them out. Work comes first before anything; this isn't the time to play around at all for me.

Satisfied with my choices, I finalized my character creation. A gentle, mature woman's voice echoed around me:

"Welcome to YGGDRASIL, Adventurer…. Your adventure starts now…"

A warm white light enveloped me, and the next thing I knew, I was standing in the middle of a massive Elven town nestled in a primordial forest.

The town was breathtaking. Elven architecture blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings—buildings carved into towering trees, treehouses connected by rope bridges, and pathways lined with glowing crystals. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the distant sound of a flowing river. It was a place of harmony and beauty, a perfect starting point for my new life, here in YGGDRASIL.

I took a deep breath, feeling a surge of excitement and determination.

"Alright… here we go…".
