Chapter 22: HERE
Everything seemed to happen in slow motion.
Jack's eyes were wide with fear as he instinctively bent away from the fire, feeling the scorching heat kick away at his skin.
His form was wavy, shifting, glitching with each millimeter of an inch that the fire came closer to him.
Olaf was melting, slipping from Anna's arms down to the earthy ground below.
It was a very tiny amount of seconds but in little time half of Olaf's body was gone and by half, I mean; longitudinal halfing.
The left side of his face, was gone, along with; his left hand, arm, leg and the left part of his abdominal region.
Anna's arms were raised up with her left palm facing the incoming fire.
Even then, she used her right arm to cover her snow friend, trying to keep him from the flame.
But…
He jumped out of her right arm, going for her face and planted his body in a sprawled position with his hands and legs spread out, covering her face entirely.
Nothing mattered to him other than protecting her in the way he could, nothing.
Not even his own life; whatever of it was left.
Jack's face was turned so he was half looking away from the fire as it consumed them.
Then his body glitched again, violently so.
And there was a scream.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
It sounded like a screech and was so loud that all of the guards present fell to the floor including Kristoff.
Jack, Anna and Olaf didn't hear the sound of maybe they did but it wasn't till they didn't feel the flame bit at their skin;
It wasn't till they didn't hear their own voice screaming in pain.
It wasn't till the three of them took in a long breath didn't perceive the smell of burning flesh— if they could even recognise the smell of they smelt it that is.
It wasn't till they opened their eyes did they realise that they had in fact closed their eyes.
And it wasn't till then did they realise and SEE Elsa in front of them, pouring icy magic out of both of her open palms at the throes of fire that should have in fact burnt them alive.
"Elsa," Anna said, letting out a gaspy laugh of relief.
"Stay behind me Anna," Elsa replied.
The dragon kept spitting fire without pausing for even a moments rest.
Fire and Ice that was all that could be seen if it was to be viewed from the sky.
The two magic forces were meeting each other half till the fire from the dragon's mouth began to grow closer to her, shortening the length of the ice.
Elsa pressed her lips tightly together and rolled her shoulders more forward, digging her heels deeper into the ground and pushed out more magic, more ice.
Olaf had already climbed down gently to Anna's shoulders and stretched forth his right hand that was still there to Jack perhaps to reassure him that Elsa was on their side.
Jack took his hand anyway watching along with he and Anna with rounded eyes at the new person in front of them; he couldn't see her face though.
What Elsa was doing was working, the ice flow from her hands were pushing the fire back towards its maker.
Just when the ice was about four inches—- that small distance— away from his face, Elsa heard someone call her name.
"Elsa! Help me!!"
Turning she saw a person she knew so well, Kristoff, on fire at both of his legs.
He was kicking his legs about as if he was trying to put out the flame.
In order to help him, Elsa retrieved her right hand from the magic of ice she was wielding and stretched it to him to freeze up the fire.
"Elsa No!" Anna said, stretching forth her hand to warn her…
But the damage had already been done.
