From Nine Rank Psychic to a Totem of a Small Tribe

Chapter 21: 21. Preparation Complete

Gavin wakes from his retreat, aware that only a few hours remain before the tribe embarks on their attack against the Snake Tribe. His clone, still in closed retreat and without food, has struggled to break through to the 6th realm of the Magic Bone Realm for the past two days.

Sensing the time, the clone rises and dashes out of the valley for a quick meal before the impending battle. As he scans the area with his spirit field, he observes the tribe's preparations. Fires burn throughout the valley, illuminating the night, while in the kitchen, a feast is being prepared for those who will fight.

Listening to the hushed conversations of the tribe members, he understands the solemn purpose of the meal—no one knows who among them will share their last feast tonight.

Elsewhere, members of the tribe are busy crafting wooden bows and stone-tipped arrows. It was Gavin who had taught the elder how to make and use these weapons just a week ago, during his five-day retreat.

However, that was not the first time he had entered seclusion. Earlier that same day, after only two hours in retreat, he had briefly emerged, recalling that he had instructed the elder to prepare for the attack. A sudden realization struck him—the tribe had never waged war before. They might not even know what to prepare.

Using voice transmission, Gavin sent a list of necessary supplies, including bows and arrows. To his surprise, the elder replied that the tribe did not know how to craft them. Further inquiries revealed that none of the tribes in this region knew how, as the Dark Panther Tribe had forbidden outside merchants from selling them such weapons.

Normally, they might have been able to purchase them from the new town established by the Silver Sword Race, but with winter approaching, beasts and magic beasts from the north of the Winter Mountains coming down the mountain made travel treacherous.

With no other choice, Gavin personally taught the elder how to craft bows and arrows, along with instructions on their proper use.

Inside the sealed space, Gavin nodded his bat-like head in approval, observing the tribe's preparations. Out of the roughly 100 tribe members, about half—both men and women—had stepped forward to participate in the battle. Their determined expressions made him pause.

He considered instructing his clone to eliminate the Snake Tribe's totem as quickly as possible. A swift victory would not only minimize their casualties but also reduce the losses suffered by the Snake Tribe.

Once the totem was slain, the Snake Tribe would cease to exist, and its surviving members would have no choice but to join Gavin's tribe. This was an unspoken law among the small tribes without a totem's protection, a small tribe could not survive in the perilous wilderness.

Fortunately, Gavin had already studied the Snake Tribe's totem, observing its abilities and combat style. A plan had formed in his mind. Fighting the massive serpent up close would be too dangerous—its sheer size and venom gave it a clear advantage. To counter this, a powerful spell would be necessary.

For the past week, he and his clone had been focused on cultivation, working to advance their realms while also deepening their understanding of Earth Elemental Control.

The Earth Elemental Control ability granted his clone dominion over the 'earth element,' but the concept was vast and difficult to grasp in its entirety. Over the last few days, Gavin had gained deeper insight into the ability by studying his clone's bloodline.

Though he had yet to fully comprehend it, he had managed to create two spells based on his partial understanding: Stone Control and Stone Missile—both classified as 0-rank spells. Unlike his clone's Earth Elemental Control, which was unranked and grew stronger with his cultivation, these spells had fixed power limits.

Moreover, the potency of 'Earth Elemental' abilities depended on the beast's bloodline. Since his clone's Earth Wolf bloodline was capped at the Bronze Realm, its talent was also limited to that level.

The two spells he had developed were insufficient to kill the Snake Tribe's totem quickly. However, by slightly unlocking the door to the 'Earth Elemental' law, he had gained a crucial advantage—his Spirit Field could now perceive 'Earth Elemental energy' within the surrounding spiritual energy.

With this newfound insight, he created a spell at the peak of 0-rank: Crystal Stone Spear—a technique capable of seriously injuring even Bronze Realm beings if they were careless.

Now he has done everything he can, now everything is left to the clone. Who is returning with half a body of Snow Bear after his spirit connected with the Clone's spirit?

He views the power of the Crystal Stone spear spell with one attack the spell pierces the body of the 4th rank magic bone realm Snow Bear. The spell consumes 15% magic energy from the magic core but its power and if it lands on the head or heart of the Snake Tribe's totem. With one move the Snake Tribe Totem will die.

He watched the clone with half of the snow bear's body stride near the tribe and let out a howl. The body of Snow Bear is for the Elder and Ajis who advance to the next realm a day ago. They ate food but they are body were not adequately nourished.

They are different from before, they are extraordinary but they are mortal with slightly increased strength. But after Elder and Ajis advanced to the Great Shaman and Spirit blood realm respectively ordinary beast meats are unable to sustain them.

Each Week for once they have to magic or feral beast meat. After they advanced to the Great Shaman and Spirit Blood realm, they did not have time as they were for six days inside their house without any communication with the outside. Their food was also brought to their door.

The Clone unable to eat a whole 10-foot bear, remembers Jion and Ajis's situation and decides to share the half-bear with them and the tribe. Reaching the gate of the Tribe after dropping the bear's body on the ground, he lets out a howl.

------

Jion who is overseeing his tribe members makes arrows with stone arrowhead. He hears the howl of a wolf. No, wolf will enter their valley except the wolf controlled by their totem, And from the sound it is coming from the front gate of the tribe.

Jion says, " Make another 50 arrows after you all can stop."

He hears back from the tribe members, " Yes, Elder." He nods and starts walking to the front gate.

After he advanced to the Great Shaman realm, he can understand what the wolf wants to say. So, he starts walking to the front gate because he understands the meaning of the howl is calling him.

When he reached the front gate, he found a crowd gathered. Because of the crowd, he cannot see the wolf but the unfamiliar beast's aura coming behind the crowd makes him alert and curious.

He shouts," Let me pass." hearing everyone bow their head in respect and address him, 'Elder'.

With everyone's stepping in front of him, he sees the huge wolf, and in front of its feet is an equally large half of Snow Bear's body. He hears the wolf bark at seeing him, He understands the meaning behind the bark- This is for you.

Jion thanked the wolf and ordered some of his tribe members to take the body to the kitchen. As he watched the wolf trod away, he turned to return to where he was.

Gavin from inside his seal space watched all this, but he did not communicate on behalf of his clone. Because he did not want anyone to know about his relationship with the wolf being his clone.

So, he let the wolf communicate with the elder.

He from his seal space watches the tribe make their final preparation, they have only 6 hours before they start their expedition to the snake tribe. They plan to reach the snake tribe sometime before the sun rises.

When the first light breaks through the horizon, they will start their attack. With his clone fighting against the snake tribe's totem and his tribe members against the snake tribe members.
