Chapter 210: Bad Luck
Sitonai them looked at Kadoc as she spoke. "Not get on Shirou, I will take you to my Allie's, she is another servant of proper human history and she might be able to help us get to your other Allies".
Kadoc them looked at her bear, as he untransformed. "You know we know someone by the same name in Chaldea".
They hoped the Ice bear names Shirou, as they bear Stared to run, after a track to a snow and Kadoc admitting he never thought he would be riding an Ice bear they arrived in cave.
Kadoc got of the bear, his beast mage craft activities as he looked around the area. "No Whild Beast here".
Sitonai then spoke. "That is probably because we took care of it".
They then went inside, as they did inside the Cave was Skadi, as she looked at Kadoc looked back her.
Skadi looked at Kadoc as she spoke. "You must be the master of Chaldea".
Kadoc them spoke looking at her, not even bothering correct. "Yeah, you can say that, you must be".
Skadi them spoke looking at him. "Skadi, I am servant summoned by the counter force ri help, do note this not my original body, as it is more of a body that match me so I can summoned".
Anastasia then spoke. "I gess that is why you look like Scathach"..
Kadoc just looked at as he spoke in his mind. "A divin servant manifested in the body of another Divin Servant, so that the counter force can summoned her to help Chaldea, how many damm Loop hole are there in the Throne of hero's in the damn first place"
Kadoc took a deep breath, shaking his head at the absurdity of the Throne's rules. "So, you were summoned by the Counter Force to aid Proper Human History… and you ended up here in this Lostbelt?"
Skadi nodded. "Yes. This world is unstable, and its existence as a Lostbelt is particularly anomalous. Even among the deviations created by Fantasy Trees, this one… is unique." She looked at Sitonai, then at Anastasia. "And you two—you're not part of this world, either."
Anastasia folded her arms. "That's correct. And we need to reunite with our allies as soon as possible."
Sitonai stepped forward. "Skadi, do you know of any way to reach Asgard? The rest of their group is likely heading there."
Skadi closed her eyes in thought before answering. "There is a way, though it is not simple. The Bifrost exists in this world, but it has been sealed. If you wish to reach Asgard, you will need to unseal it."
Kadoc frowned. "Figures. And let me guess—the one who sealed it is the Lostbelt King?"
Skadi nodded. "Thor. He controls Asgard, and his rule is absolute."
Anastasia sighed. "Another Divine Spirit ruling a Lostbelt… this is starting to become a pattern."
Kadoc rubbed his temples. "Alright. If we're going to do this, we need a plan. Skadi, do you have any resources or allies who can help us?"
Skadi gestured toward the deeper part of the cave. "I do. But before that, you need to rest. You may not feel it yet, but this world is draining on those not native to it."
Kadoc exchanged glances with Anastasia and Sitonai before sighing. "Fine. We'll rest for now. But we move at first light."
As they settled in, Kadoc couldn't shake the feeling that things were only going to get more complicated from here.
As the night settled in, Kadoc sat near the small fire Skadi had set up in the cave. The warmth was a stark contrast to the cold environment outside, but his mind remained restless. As then Skadi had explain that how this Lost belt became a Lost belt was because Odin had died early
Anastasia, sitting nearby, noticed his expression and smirked. "You're thinking too much again."
Kadoc sighed. "How can I not? This Lostbelt's structure makes no sense. If Odin died early, how did the world even function long enough to reach this state?"
Skadi, who had been preparing some rations, looked up. "Odin's death led to a fractured realm. Without him to guide fate, Ragnarok never came, but neither did peace. Thor took over, but rather than an endless war, he enforced a strict, unwavering order over the Nine Realms."
Sitonai added, "The beings who would have fought in Ragnarok either submitted or perished. The chaos that was meant to occur never happened, and instead, an unnatural stability was formed. That's why this Lostbelt exists—it's a world where Ragnarok was avoided, but at the cost of stagnation."
Kadoc frowned. "And the Fantasy Tree?"
Skadi nodded. "It's deep in Asgard, feeding this unnatural stability. However, there's something odd about it. Even I cannot perceive its true nature."
Anastasia leaned back. "Sounds like a pain. So our plan remains the same: reach Asgard, unseal Bifrost, and reunite with the others. Then we can figure out how to deal with Thor and that Fantasy Tree."
Skadi smiled slightly. "Straightforward, if nothing else. But for now, you should all rest. The journey ahead will not be easy."
Kadoc glanced at the flickering fire before letting out a tired sigh. "Yeah… rest. Sure."
Even as he closed his eyes, his mind raced with thoughts of what awaited them in Asgard.
The next day happened, as Skadi looked at them, as They were holding on Skadi shoulder. "Now I have spell that cab teleport you too your allies".
Kadoc looked at the Key chain he had of Ophelia, a friend chain as she put she gave to every member of Team A. "You need something from, if I am gess she is either with Ritsuka or in Nemo Ship".
Skadi then started to make some Runs, as she spoke. "There is chance we could be falling from the Sky, but the chance of that happens is 1 in 200000000".
Kadoc then looked at as he spoken. "That is good".
She then put the runs together, there body glows as they teleport, as the group of four did, they open there as they felt the win, and saw them self falling, they were falling for the sky.
As soon as the teleportation completed, Kadoc felt the sudden rush of wind slamming against his body. His eyes widened as he realized they were plummeting through the sky.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Kadoc shouted as he flailed in midair.
Anastasia, holding onto her coat, scowled. "Skadi said the chance was one in 200 million!"
Sitonai, who had been surprisingly calm, looked at her bear, Shirou, who was also free-falling. "Well, I guess we hit the jackpot, huh?"
Kadoc, activating his Infinite Ice transformation, spread his arms to slow his descent. "We need a plan before we become pancakes!"
Anastasia conjured a platform of ice beneath them, but the sheer speed of their fall made it unstable. The moment their feet touched it, cracks spread across its surface.
Kadoc gritted his teeth. "Damn it! We need a better way to land!"
Sitonai glanced below and pointed. "There's a massive structure down there! If we aim for it, we might be able to use it to break our fall!"
Kadoc followed her gaze. It was a ship—one that was unmistakably the Storm Border.
"Of course, we're landing on Nemo's ship!" Kadoc groaned. "Hold on!"
Sitonai nodded, grabbing onto Anastasia and her bear. Kadoc focused his magic, forming layers of ice beneath them to slow their fall.
As they neared the ship, the alarms blared, and holograms of Nemo Marines appeared. One of them shouted, "Unidentified entities inbound! Prepare for impact!"
Kadoc took a deep breath. "I hate my life!"
The group crashed onto the ship's reinforced deck, sending ice shards and mist everywhere. For a moment, there was only silence—then a familiar voice rang out.
"Kadoc?!"
As the mist cleared, Da Vinci stood at the edge of the deck, staring at them in shock. Beside him were Ophelia and Olga, both equally stunned.
Kadoc groaned, lying flat on his back. "Oh great… now I owe Skadi a punch to the face…"
Few minutes later.
Kadoc just spoke looking at Da Vinci as he spoke. "So let me get this straight, while we were split up, Ritsuka and Yang Guifie found Loki and freed him and now he is our Allie, they then found Mash and Kama who was in the land of the light Elf's and now we have them in allies, then the split up, Ritsuka, Yang Guifie and Loki went to find away to get to Asgard, and Kama and Mash accidentally found the world tree, and we are still not in one place".
Da Vinci crossed her arms and gave Kadoc a sly smile. "Well, when you put it like that, it sounds a bit chaotic, but yes, that's essentially what happened."
Kadoc sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Of course. Why wouldn't everything be a complete mess?"
Sion's hologram flickered on the ship's main console. "To be fair, given that this is a Lostbelt filled with Norse mythology on overdrive, we're actually doing pretty well. But yeah, we're still not fully assembled."
Anastasia leaned against the railing, arms crossed. "Then we should focus on regrouping first. If we continue splitting up, things could get worse."
Then the Holographic image of Ritsuka, Yang Guifie and Loki cane up
Yang Guifei nodded. "Agreed. We need to bring Kama and Mash back before anything else happens with the World Tree."
Loki, lounging casually nearby, grinned. "Oh, don't worry, things are already happening. You guys really don't understand just how bad it is that they found Yggdrasil, do you?"
Ritsuka frowned. "Loki… what exactly are you implying?"
The trickster god stretched and stood up. "Simple. If Mash and Kama found the World Tree, then something else probably has, too. And if that thing wakes up, well… let's just say Jörmungandr isn't the only giant problem lying dormant in this Lostbelt."
Kadoc groaned. "Great. Just great. More problems."
Da Vinci clapped her hands. "Well, no time to waste then! We need to pick up Mash and Kama before whatever is sleeping down there decides to wake up and say hello."
Ritsuka nodded. "Alright, let's move. Nemo, set a course!"
The Storm Border rumbled as it adjusted its trajectory, heading straight toward the land of the Light Elves—where something ancient was beginning to stir.
Kadoc then looked all the Holographic image. "Also why am I talking to a bunch of Holographic image".
Sion spoke as she looked at. "Me and Akuta ans a few servant were making our way to Mash and Kama in the Mine's".
Ritsuka the spoke as he looked at him. "Me, BB, Yang Guifie and Loki are right bellow Asgar trying to make plans on how to get up there and while I am stopping two people from flying up there".
As in Ritsuka Holographic it shows BB, sliding up, using her power's to fly, flying like low budget PNG, as Ritsuka grabbed he lega an dragged her down.
Kadoc sighed, rubbing his temple. "Of course, this is what I come back to."
Sion smirked from her hologram. "Well, if it makes you feel better, BB's antics aren't our biggest problem right now."
Ritsuka, still holding BB by the leg, grumbled. "You say that, but if I let her go, she's going to try and break physics again."
BB pouted as she dangled upside down. "Oh, come on, Senpai! I'm just trying to be efficient! If we fly up, we skip all the boring parts!"
Yang Guifei, sitting nearby, giggled. "You're not wrong, but Ritsuka does have a point. We don't know what kind of defenses are up there."
Loki chuckled, watching the chaos. "Oh, you'll definitely get shot out of the sky. Odin might be dead, but that doesn't mean Asgard is unprotected."
Kadoc shook his head. "Alright, back on track. We need to regroup, but with half of us underground and the other half trying not to get vaporized by divine laser beams, how are we going to pull this off?"
Da Vinci chimed in. "Good question! I've been running calculations, and unless someone here has a secret backdoor into Asgard, we might need to get creative."
Loki grinned mischievously. "Well, lucky for you all, I happen to know a few backdoors into places I'm not supposed to be in."
Ritsuka narrowed his eyes. "Why do I feel like this is going to be a terrible idea?"
Loki laughed. "Because it probably is! But hey, it's that or try flying up like a cheap mobile game asset!"
BB huffed. "Rude."
Kadoc just groaned. "This mission is going to be the death of me."
Back with Kama and Mash, as Kama just looked at Mash. "Hey Mash, it is weird that noting has happened to us when we are in place where there so part of the world tree".
Mash tilted her head, considering Kama's question. "It is strange," she replied thoughtfully. "The World Tree is such a powerful entity, so you'd think we'd experience some sort of change or danger, but it's been quiet so far. Maybe it's because we're still at a higher point, or we're not interacting with its core yet."
Kama crossed her arms, eyes scanning the surroundings. "Yeah, but still... we should be careful. This place feels too still, like something is watching us. The World Tree has many layers, each with its own rules."
Mash nodded in agreement. "True. We don't know exactly what's going on with the branches or the deeper realms of the tree. It might be keeping its power contained for now, but that doesn't mean it won't react if we get too close."
Kama's expression shifted, becoming more serious. "I think we need to keep moving forward carefully. The calm before a storm is always the most dangerous part."
The atmosphere between them was charged with anticipation, as they both knew that their journey through the World Tree had only just begun.
