Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training

Chapter 29: Galactic Patrol Headquarters

At this moment, Krillin was resting on a remote primitive planet, breathing heavily. When bad luck strikes, even drinking water can choke you. After jumping to ten different planets, all of which were airless, he finally found this asteroid. Although barren, it showed faint traces of life.

The universe was vast, with many planets harboring life, but desolate worlds were far more common.

Krillin lay on a rock, slowly recovering his energy.

"System, show my stats."

Ding…

Time: Year 756, Age of Wonder

Name: Krillin

Age: 21

Race: Earthling

Dimension Level: First Dimension (Comparable to Korin)

Battle Power: 360,000 (Next limit: 5,000,000)

Potential: 4,640,000

Training Speed: Light Speed

After his battle with Nail, Krillin's battle power increased by another 10,000. Combat truly was the best way to grow. He glanced at his remaining 800 Senzu Beans, which would last him just over a year. Unfortunately, his Senzu Bean plantation still needed six months to reach maturity, meaning the harvest was over half a year away. Krillin sighed in frustration.

"Ding! Namek also contains an energy-rich material called sludge coal. It has 900 times the energy of ordinary coal by mass." The system chimed in.

"What the—?! I've traveled this far, and you're just telling me now?!" Krillin fumed.

"Do you want to be a coal miner?" the system retorted coolly.

"One ton of sludge coal equals one energy unit. It's endless drudgery, generation after generation. If you work tirelessly, you might maintain VIP speed for a month." The system's tone carried a hint of disdain.

"Mining coal?!" The thought was so unpleasant that Krillin's face darkened. "Never mind. Forget I said anything…"

"Some planets do have advanced energy sources. Isn't that better than mining coal?"

Krillin pondered. "The Galactic Patrol Headquarters is located in the Galactic Core. It might be worth heading there. If I can infiltrate their ranks, I could access their extensive historical records of the galaxy's stars and possibly locate high-energy planets through their data."

Krillin stood, preparing to use Instant Transmission again. Despite its flaws, it was superior to Yardrat's technique. Unlike Yardrat's version, which required sensing a target's energy, Krillin's allowed him to teleport to a known location.

With a faint whoosh, Krillin's figure disappeared.

After dozens of jumps, Krillin approached the Galactic Patrol Headquarters. As one of the galaxy's major powers, the patrol's territory was bustling with activity. He passed several trade planets—cosmic hubs where aliens conducted commerce. Most factions had multiple trade planets under their jurisdiction, advancing intergalactic trade. These planets were highly developed technologically.

The closer Krillin got to the center, the stronger the patrol's defensive forces became. He observed countless space cannons. The energy radiating from them was intimidating—each blast likely carried the equivalent of 10,000 units of energy.

The Galactic Patrol's ability to contend with the Cold family for so long demonstrated their strength.

However, charging in recklessly would be disastrous. Krillin considered his options and teleported to a nearby trade planet instead. The patrol's headquarters was located on an isolated planet surrounded by multiple layers of defense, with the trade planet serving as a forward base.

Krillin looked around, uncertain if he could communicate with the locals. Spotting an alien with a humanoid appearance, he approached. "Excuse me, can I ask you something?"

The alien, looking puzzled, pointed at itself, silently asking if Krillin was addressing him.

Seeing this, Krillin grew hopeful. He understands?

But then the alien responded, "Chirp chirp! Squawk squawk!"

Krillin: …

The alien pulled out a spherical device, tossing it into the air. The device emitted the alien's strange chirps before switching to a language Krillin could understand:

"You need something? Call me Allens."

Krillin blinked in surprise. What a clever invention!

He quickly asked, "Allens, how do I enter the Galactic Patrol Headquarters? I'm from Earth. You can call me Krillin."

"To enter the headquarters, you need to register at the patrol's administrative office. They'll verify you're not affiliated with any evil forces. You seem like a good person—not someone from an evil faction," the device translated in its mechanical voice.

"Good looks really are a blessing," Krillin muttered, then asked, "Where's the administrative office? I'd like to enter the headquarters."

"I can take you," Allens offered with a smile.

"Thank you," Krillin replied politely, recognizing Allens as a friendly alien.

Allens summoned a small spacecraft and called out, "Hop on, Krillin. I'll take you there!"

Krillin jumped aboard the vehicle, and Allens piloted it toward the administrative office.

"So, Krillin, why are you heading to the headquarters?" Allens asked curiously.

"I'm looking for some records and hoping to register as a Galactic Warrior," Krillin explained.

"Wow! Galactic Warriors are amazing! I heard the requirements are strict. Only those with high battle power or special abilities qualify," Allens said, his eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Heh, my battle power is sufficient. I just want to contribute to galactic peace," Krillin said, internally cringing at his own words. Did I really just say that out loud?

Allens looked at him with starry eyes, his expression resembling a fangirl swooning over her favorite idol.

"We're here. That tall building ahead is the place," Allens said, brimming with admiration.

Krillin jumped down, shouting, "Thanks, Allens!" as he ran toward the entrance.

Inside, a burly alien radiating strength was stationed at the counter. However, Krillin sensed his energy and realized it was only 500—strong in appearance but weak in reality.

"Hello, I'd like to register as a Galactic Warrior," Krillin said.

The alien responded immediately, "To become a Galactic Warrior, you'll need to last 50 moves against me." His tone carried a hint of mockery as he eyed Krillin's small stature.

Krillin understood the insult. Another alien judging me by my height? Ridiculous. Frieza's tiny, and he rules the North Galaxy!

"Fine. Let's do it," Krillin said calmly. Time to show him the power of compact greatness.

The two entered a combat arena.

Without bothering to power up, Krillin casually struck a fighting pose.

Earth's Krillin, he thought with a smirk.
