Destroying My Own World

Chapter 251: Go on adventure.

"Father, can we go on an adventure again? It has been a while since we go and see the world," Little Mykel asked after he was done playing with Little Sasha.

"Are you bored?" Mykel asked as he put Little Mykel on his lap.

"No, I want to go on an adventure with everyone," Little Mykel answered and then he looked at the book that Mykel was writing. "Are you working again?" he asked with his head barely reaching the table.

"Not working, but making a diary. Do you want to read it?" Mykel asked as he grabbed the book.

Little Mykel nodded his head because he was interested in reading Thanks to Nagy, Rozan, and Shelly who always told him stories. Amaryllis turned those stories into a giant book and that was when he started to get interested in reading.

"Ask Sasha if she wants to read it as well," Mykel said as he gently smiled at Little Mykel.

"Sasha, do you want to read father's diary with me?!" Little Mykel asked after he took the diary with him and showed it to Little Sasha.

Little Sasha nodded and then they both raced to the cabin so they could read it on the bed.

After they watched Little Mykel and Little Sasha enter the cabin, they all went quiet. All of them immediately sat at the table and they all looked at Mykel about the plan he proposed.

"Is there no other option?" Jeanne asked and looked at Mykel with a saddened expression. "We can try it again and no matter if it takes hundreds of years as long as we don't do this," Jeanne added.

"It's the only choice," Mykel answered as he fixed his hair and looked down at the wooden table. "It's fail-proof. I have given it some thought and I believe it would be the only way," Mykel continued.

"Even for someone like me, this is too cruel," Aurea said and she was saddened as well after she heard about the plan. "But if you said it's the only way, I believe you and will share the burden and all the consequences," Aurea pointed out as she held Mykel's left hand tightly.

Everyone was sad and didn't know what to say knowing Mykel was the one who decided that. Of course, they could tell that Mykel also didn't want to do it if there was another option.

"I'll go and talk with Loki," Mykel said as he stood up and let out a big sigh.

They all nodded and then Mykel warped away to Loki's house in Asgard. They actually didn't know the whole plan because Mykel wanted Loki's permission first.

Mykel could feel the cold that was enough to strike his bones and joints. Loki got a portion of The Lord's will of Creation, and she was capable of hurting him even if it wasn't much.

He entered the house and he could see Loki sitting on the edge of the bed with a blank expression. Her eyes were red as tears kept falling to her chin, and she had been like that for days.

She glanced at Mykel who was walking toward her, and then suddenly Mykel went down to his knees in front of her. She only furrowed her eyebrows and stared at him with grief and anger.

"I'm not going to do it until you give me permission," Mykel said as he stared Loki in the eyes. "But I'm not going to change my mind, and I will wait even if it's going to take an eternity," Mykel continued.

"I'm not going to give you permission even if you beg on your knees," Loki said with a cold expression. "Now that it's just the two of us. Tell me the reason why," Loki pointed out with tears of anger and sadness glimmering in her eyes.

Mykel slowly stood up and whispered to Loki the whole plan that he had in mind. Loki's eyes were wide open and she was so dumbfounded that she stopped crying. Her whole body trembled at his plan, and that was when she had a change of heart.

"I know that... no matter what we do, he can't be replaced, but he will understand when the time comes," Mykel said as he gently wiped off the tears on Loki's face. "It has to be done, and I'll be the one who does it," Mykel continued.

"It can be done?" Loki asked.

"Yes, and we both will protect him without him knowing," Mykel answered as he nodded his head. "I promise you, this will work," Mykel continued.

Loki looked at Mykel's expression and she could tell that he felt the same way as her. He hid the pain and his sadness by showing his determination to end it once and for all.

"How could I say no when you look at me like that?" Loki asked as she frowned. "Let's protect your child until we both are sure that he can handle everything on his own," Loki said with her eyebrows raised.

Mykel nodded his head and hummed in agreement, and then he hugged Loki for the first time. Loki felt his genuine feelings and she never thought Mykel would hug her because there were only a few people that he had ever hugged.

"Let's meet with the others and we should do this as soon as we can. I believe he's ready for this as well," Mykel said as he kept hugging Loki.

Loki hummed and then they both went back to the Empyrean World.

Loki went to the table and she quietly sat down while everyone looked at her. She nodded her head and they were confused as to why she gave Mykel permission to do it.

Mykel walked out of the cabin with Little Mykel on his back and Little Sasha in his arms. He nodded at them and that was enough to make everyone nervous.

"Can you find a world that's the same as the world that I'm thinking right now?" Mykel asked as he looked at Little Mykel after he put him down.

"The same world? There are a few of them. They're the same as what father is thinking right now," Little Mykel answered as he nodded his head and looked at Mykel.

"Now, can you find a world where only I don't exist in that world?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows raised.

"There are three worlds like that. Do you want me to open one of them?" Little Mykel asked.

"Yes, please," Mykel answered with a gentle smile.

Little Mykel opened a portal and then all walked into the portal and entered another reality. It was in the late nineties and everything was indeed the same as the world Mykel lived in the past. The same president, the same world war, the exact casualties, the same events. Everything was identical and the only difference was there was no Mykel in that world.

"Where are we going?" Jeanne asked.

"My parents' house," Mykel answered.

Everyone furrowed their eyebrows and looked at each other with confused looks. They followed Mykel into an apartment, and then he knocked on a door on the third floor.

"Yes? Can I help you?" A man with glasses in his late twenties.

Mykel snapped his fingers and stopped the time.

"Amy, I need you to manipulate their memories, and put my childhood memories in his mind and his wife," Mykel said.

Amaryllis did it in an instant without asking a single question.

Mykel went down to his knees while the time still stopped.

"I have thought of a name that suits you, and I think you're going to like it," Mykel said as he looked at Little Mykel.

Little Mykel stared into Mykel's eyes and he could see the sadness in his eyes. He was worried when he saw Mykel's expression, but he was more curious about the name.

"Mykel Alester," Mykel said as he put his hand on Little Mykel's head. "Do you like it? We share the same name," Mykel asked with a smile.

Little Mykel nodded his head and he looked so happy to be given the same name as Mykel. On the other hand, everyone already had a hunch about what Mykel was planning to do. They looked at Loki who was holding her tears, and Nal immediately wrapped her arms around her and tried to comfort her.

"You said you want to go on an adventure, right? How about you start your own adventure here?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows raised.
