Chapter 267: Immortal Lady and Empress
The labyrinth itself seemed to quiver in subtle protest, but it could do nothing to stop him now.
"Done," Pyris said with a final exhale. He turned on his heel, heading back to the group.
His task was complete, and he was eager to see the look on his mother's face when she realized he had accomplished what even she could not.
The labyrinth had resisted for centuries, but now, its secrets would finally be laid bare.
Pyris and his mother, with the help of Mira and the eager Phantoms will unravel all the secrets in the Abyssal Labyrinth.
For all the years, the labyrinth's refusal to let them in, had become a slump in their throats, so the Phantoms getting the opportunity to enter inside will turn it inside down.

In the Beastfolks Empire.
The empress sat upon her throne, her presence one of regal dominance that seemed to command the room without words.
The throne, an intricately carved masterpiece of obsidian and gold, radiated power, its angular design reminiscent of sharp claws reaching skyward.
The empress herself was a vision, a stunning fox-eared beastfolk with flowing silvery-white hair that cascaded like a river of moonlight. Her long tail, impossibly soft and elegant, rested over the armrest of the throne, twitching with lazy confidence.
Her sharp green eyes gleamed with intelligence and cunning as she gazed at the screen before her, the faint glow of its projection highlighting her otherworldly beauty.
Her robes, a traditional yet breathtakingly ornate ensemble, clung to her slender form, decorated with vivid patterns of swirling blue and fiery red. It was a reminder that she was not just a ruler but an apex predator.
Not far from the throne, seated on a raised platform yet positioned as if watching from the shadows, was the Immortal.
The air around her shimmered faintly with a power that seemed to distort reality itself. She sat cross-legged, her posture relaxed yet exuding an overwhelming authority that surpassed even the empress. Her presence wasn't merely commanding—it was suffocating, as though the very room bent to her will.
Her fox-like ears twitched faintly as she smirked, her glowing green eyes same as the empress fixed on the massive screen displaying the latest news. She was just so stunning than the empress, her beauty carrying an ageless, otherworldly allure.
She wore an attire as traditional as it was awe-inspiring, embroidered with golden threads that shimmered like captured sunlight.
Her silver hair flowed like liquid starlight, pooling around her, while her tails—nine of them—fanned out behind her, each one as mesmerizing as the last. Her gaze was cold and calculating, her expression betraying neither joy nor malice—only absolute certainty.
On the screen, the launch of the ARGO VRMMORPG filled the airwaves, the sleek logo rotating slowly beside the presenter's animated explanation of the game's revolutionary mechanics.
In the upper right corner, an image of a young man, Pyris Obsidian, was displayed.
The youngest CEO of a technological behemoth, his sharp features and confident gaze made him a figure of immense intrigue and power. His calm demeanor, combined with the charisma he exuded even through the screen, painted a picture of unshakable resolve.
The empress watching with the Immortal Lady's gaze sharpened as if her greens wanted to unravel hidden in the young Obsidian.
Pyris although hadn't made any public appearance in his position as the CEO of Obsidian Tech, only few individuals could claim they didn't know who he was.
He hadn't stopped being the CEO but even recently opened Obsidian Ent that was shaking the entertainment industry thank to the endless resources, rare talents and the talented CEO, Emilia!
The Immortal's smirk deepened as her eyes darted to the empress seated on the throne. "When you go," she began, her voice smooth and laced with an unnatural weight, "ask them for a partnership in their next projects. They will refuse, of course. But," She paused, her smirk turning into a cold smile. "The that arrogant mortal refuse but trust me... That's how she plans for the boy to come here himself, to answer to our an alliance. And that is when we'll act."
The empress's ears flicked as she absorbed the words. Her sharp gren eyes flickered to the Immortal before returning to the screen. "Understood," the empress replied curtly, her tone betraying neither doubt nor hesitation.
There was no questioning the Immortal's foresight—such arrogance would be folly. The Immortal's predictions were more than words; they were like the threads of fate itself.
The empress's lips curled faintly into a smile. "It won't be a problem," she said confidently, her tail swishing behind her as her gaze lingered on Pyris's image.
The Immortal didn't respond, her attention already returning to the screen. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly, as though she was seeing far beyond the broadcast.
Her smirk faded into a look of serene detachment, yet the aura of certainty around her grew even more oppressive.
The room was silent, save for the soft hum of the screen. The empress's throne seemed to glow faintly in the dim light, her figure radiating dominance and pride. But the true weight of the moment lay in the Immortal's words, her foresight carving the path ahead like an immutable law.
As the presenter on the screen droned on about ARGO's monumental launch, the Immortal's smile returned, colder and sharper than before. Her fox-like ears twitched once more, and she murmured, almost to herself, "The boy has no idea what awaits him."
The empress's laugh was soft but laced with a sinister edge. "He'll come. And when he does... we'll be ready, Lady."
The Immortal's nine tails swayed behind her, their movements mesmerizing, like a predator toying with its prey. Her gaze lingered on Pyris's image for just a moment longer before she looked away, her focus already shifting to the pieces of the game she was about to set in motion.
The two women didn't need to exchange further words. They both knew the plan would unfold exactly as intended. After all, one was an empress, a ruler whose power knew no bounds. The other was an Immortal—a being whose understanding transcended mortal comprehension.
The world was theirs to control.
