Chapter 9: Chapter 9
**Present Time:**
Jimin woke up with a sharp gasp, his chest rising and falling quickly. He sat up on the bed, his eyes darting around the room.
It was the same damp, dark room as before. The small window high on the wall let in only a faint view of the outside, barely enough to see the sky. It was so small that he couldn't even tell what the weather was like.
"Why I'm even alive?" He asked himself, shifting his gaze down on his wrist.
The pain still felt sharp, but Jimin couldn't remember when it had happened. How did he get injured again? He thought about it for a few seconds before giving up. He had grown so used to pain that these small cuts no longer affected him.
Jimin stood up, he ruffled the back of his head, then sat on the cold floor before the window. His eyes darted at the sky, it felt good, sometimes he could imagine himself playing in a garden, laughing loudly while catching the bubbles. For a few minutes, Jimin could escaped the reality, the harsh truth of his suffocated life.
However, whenever the whispers echoed in his ears, reminding him of the sin he had committed, his imagined paradise would turn into a living hell. It began to happen again, the whispers filled his ears, each word clear and repeating over and over, growing louder with every moment.
"You killed Jisun."
"You deserve this pain."
" You're a killer."
"Jisun will never forgive you."
"Your parents will never forgive you."
Despite being injected uncountable medicines and long therapy sessions, his condition had remained same, nothing had changed. The constant voices inside his head, that always reminded him that he killed his own brother, and Jisun's haunting shadow, that appeared in front of him time to time and asked why Jimin killed Jisun?.
However, Jimin had no answer, the high dosages of morphine and other medications had blocked his ability to think properly, and recalled that unfortunate night, when Jisun died.
"Hyung, why did you killed me?" Asked the pale figure of Jisun, that firmly stood before him, pale and thin, his demonic eyes glaring at Jimin, dead skin and ruffled hair, it felt as if someone digged his grave and let his dead limb escaped.
Jimin felt something crawling his skin, he scratched his hands and back of the neck roughly, fear clutched his heart as Jisun's existence was as real as his own.
"Why you killed me Hyung?"
Jimin rubbed his ears now, giving another scratch to his already wounded ears. Frustration evidence on his face, he breathed heavily, his heart thudding loudly in his chest.
Jimin curled up in to a ball, pulled his knees up to his chin and buried his face, trying to protect himself from tormenting voices inside his head and Jisun's figure. But as if his own body had failed to protect him, he was alone as like every night, stuck into a hell people named it as a life.
Tears rolled down his cheeks, Jimin felt so helpless, his dried lips trembled, his eyes widened in fear, sweat prickled down to his forehead and the back of his neck, and he sobbed in silence.
"You should have not killed me." Jisun said again, his words constantly echoing like a haunting melody in his ears.
Jimin crawled back, as Jisun took few steps closer to him. He stood up hurriedly, but a strange sensation washed over him. Flashes of light danced in his vision, and his head spun, as if the entire room swirled around him.
Jimin felt confused, disoriented, like he wasn't in his own body anymore. He blinked in confusion, his mind foggy, as he tried to find a support, but before Jimin could approach the bed, he stumbled with a loud thud on the floor. His body jerked violently as a seizure overtook him. His limbs stiffened, and he gasped for air, helpless against the sudden attack.
Each breath, Jimin took at the moment, felt harder than the last. His chest rose and fell rapidly, his heart racing in his chest. The whispers in his head didn't stop. They just grew louder, telling him more cruel things, and he waited for the hospital staff to arrive.
One of the security guards, whose duty was to monitor each patient on the forth floor, called down to the staff members, and informed about Jimin's condition.
