Break The Silence

Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Taehyung sat in his office, getting ready for the therapy session. He ordered some packed food to share his lunch time with Jimin. Even though Taehyung was a psychologist, who belonged to a noble family, but he always preferred to create a friendly environment for his patients.

Taehyung strongly believed food can build relations. He had a long gone memories of sharing lunch boxes with a person he used to love the most, but now he wanted to relive all those memories with Jimin.

A heavy sigh escaped his lips, Taehyung felt nervous, it never happened before, he had solved few complicated cases in his short time of career, but Jimin was different. A silent young man, abandoned by his family, and trapped in a room since last decade, a hopeless patient.

For Taehyung, Jimin was like an unsolved mystery, a closed book that nobody could have read.

He stood up, exhaled a deep breath, "Calm down." Taehyung muttered, patting his chest.

Suddenly, the door opened hurriedly and Mr. Kwon walked in. His face looked serious, "Jimin had a seizure. It was intense. You need to come now." Mr. Kwon informed.

Taehyung's heart raced with concern. He placed the boxes back, without a second thought, he left everything on his desk and headed to the door. Walking through the hallway, he approached the stairs and arrived on the fourth floor.

Dr. Lee had commanded the doctors to shift Jimin back in his room two days ago. His vitals were normal and his wounded wrist had began to heal.

Taehyung quickened his pace, as he made his way to Jimin's room, at the far end of the narrow hallway, his heart thudded loudly in his chest. The iron door creaked as Taehyung stepped inside and saw Dr. Lee and Ms. Nawol had already arrived.

The room smelled faintly of antiseptic, and the atmosphere seemed tense. Dr. Lee, sat on his knees, preparing a syringe filled with a clear, slightly glowing medicine.

Jimin lay on the cold concrete floor, his gaze fixed at the ceiling as his body constantly shaking, he breathed shallow and his lips trembled, pale face expressing his pain.

Dr. Lee carefully wiped Jimin's arm with an alcohol pad before injecting the medicine. "This is a dose of Morphofix," He said, his voice steady but kind. "It will ease his pain, but it can make him feel a bit dizzy. He need to rest after this, okay?" He paused, looking at Taehyung.

Taehyung nodded, heading closer to Jimin with hesitant steps.

Ms. Nawol sat besides Dr. Lee, observing everything with a mix of concern and professionalism. She gently arranged a pillow under Jimin's head, making sure he was as comfortable as possible.

Taehyung sat down on the cold floor next to Jimin, his heart aching at the sight of him. He wiped the sweat off Jimin's forehead with his own sleeve, then wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes.

"Everything will be alright." Taehyung whispered softly. "Everything will be alright! I won't let anything happen to you." He assured, his voice low but full of sincerity, as he softly caressed Jimin's head.

Dr. Lee quietly observed Taehyung's unexplained concern for Jimin. "You seems a quite emotional man." He said, as he tossed the syringe back in the tray.

Taehyung looked up at Dr. Lee's face, "Doesn't he need a comfort at this moment? ." He replied in a trembling voice. Then he gently squeezed Jimin's hand in his palm.

"It's alright...I'm here for you." Taehyung said, taking his palm closer to his mouth and exhaling a warm breath, he repeated the same method, until Jimin seizure disappeared.

Jimin felt exhausted, his body loosened all it's strength, and he lay weakly on the floor, feeling the warm breath of Taehyung on his palm. He felt strange familiarity, with Taehyung's little gesture, but his mind lacked the strength to assumed why he felt so familiar with Taehyung. Laying down on the floor,Jimin barely managed to look at Taehyung's teary eyes .

"Don't worry I'm here for you, and I promise I won't leave you alone." Taehyung said in a soft voice, a painful smile appeared on his prominent lips as their eyes locked.

Once Jimin felt slightly at ease, Taehyung carefully took Jimin under his arms and stood up, he made Jimin carefully lay on the bed and pulled up the blanket. Mrs. Nawol settled the pillow down to his head.

"Let's take some rest." Taehyung said gently, softly caressing Jimin's head.

Jimin blinked slowly, the heavy medication making him feel drowsy. But he didn't want to fall asleep, not yet. He desperately wanted to hold on to the warmth of Taehyung's presence, something he had longed for without realizing it. He wanted to keep holding Taehyung's hand, to feel that comfort for just a little longer. But his body couldn't fight the exhaustion, and his eyes slowly closed as he drifted into a deep slumber.

Standing behind, Dr. Lee quietly observed the unexplained connection Taehyung and Jimin shared. It wasn't Jimin who amazed him, but Taehyung. As an experienced psychologist, who solved many crime mysteries with police, Dr. Lee sensed Taehyung's strange behavior regarding Jimin, it wasn't something two unknown people could have, it seemed like Taehyung and Jimin knew each other since a long.
