Beep beep ! — honk !

That's what it sounded like on the busy streets of New York going down broadway and heading into the city lights. Each and every single time you step into the roads, you could always hear others conversations.

The honking horns of taxis and cars trying to get to their destinations, when in reality it seemed much faster to walk than drive. Although one male in particular didn't mind that, as they didn't even have a vehicle.

" Ugh. this is ridiculous. " a male sneered.

His friend turning to look at him, but smiling a bit in a teasing manner. " haha— what's the issue. "

" Tch. The issue is— is that this is one of the biggest damn cities in the world— and we still gotta deal with traffic even while on foot. " his friend complained.

" Eh. I don't think it's so bad— I mean— fresh air will do you good. " his friend replied back jokingly.

" Ha-ha. very funny. I don't need fresh air thank you very much, I got enough of that shit when I moved to Alaska for a year remember. "

" Haha- oh yeah, and why you thought that was a good idea, I'll never know. You hate cold weather remember. "

" Yeah. Don't remind me. " the other responded as the two walked down and into the subway tunnels as the continue to walk with the crowd, while others was coming out.

" So tell me again why you want this job, yugi I mean do you even have the experience? "

" Uh. excuse you. I do. Actually— this is a huge opportunity for me, and I am well into business and running a company. How will I be able to run my own company if I don't work in a company setting. "

" Yeah-yeah, but I mean you applied to ' international MCC Sennen inc. ' and I've been told that is a hard ass company to get into. I mean so many people apply, only but a few every get the position. "

Yugi glanced up at his friend, whom was taller than him by a substantial amount of height. After getting their tickets swiped they waited for the trains as yugi glanced left and right before replying.

" I'm aware the companies history. because see unlike you Sam I actually do research, ya know. " yugi teased once more before chuckling a bit.

Sam through his hands up in the air as he sighed a bit " alright—alright. If you say so smart guy. " he said smirking and a tad laughter before the sound of a train came rushing through the tunnels.

" Haha! "

" Yeah punk! "

" Gimme! Gimme that back! "

" Come on! Get it ! "

" Haha yeah try and get it dumbass. "

The sound of a group that was close by near yugi , as he had turned to glance at the commotion surrounding them. Noticing a group of teenagers whom were bullying someone and tossing their bag around.

As the person continued to try and grab it as the two other guys kept tossing it between them and teasing the shorter male about unable to get his bag back.

Seeing those boys brought back some memories for yuugi, in a painful way. Rather he slowly continued to eye them causally before he blanked out and stared.

Deep in his heart he wanted to say something, anything and defend the boy whom seemed outnumbered and outmatched. Yugi blinked for a moment, before he felt the touch of someone on his shoulder.

His eyes shifted towards Sam again whom shook his head at him. " ... there's nothing we can do about it. " he said softly towards him. Weirdly people would deem that idiotic to say.

Although Sam and yugi have been in a situation like this before, and trauma has a funny way of stopping even the most modest and purest of people. Yugi slowly looked down and back as the train got in front of them.

Sam walked into the train as yugi slowly followed behind him hearing the guys laughing and bullying the guy again before pushing and shoving him into the wall.

Yuugi got into the train as the doors closed slowly and shut as they pulled off leaving the station. Sam sighed as he noticed yugi feeling deeply bad about what happened.

" .. Try and play the hero, you get beat up, shot or worse. " Sam reiterated.

" And between you and me —- I don't need another episode of that happening to us again. " sam added as he gave a stone look towards yuugi.

Yuugi said nothing in return as he looked out the window as the swooshing sound of the train past by trees and other stations. Though it was only but five years ago that yuugi was in a similar ordeal.

However it felt like only yesterday towards him sometimes, and whenever he saw someone else experiencing the same thing, it made him sick. Sick to the stomach to know that he sat by so many times and allowed it.

Eventually after several stops the boys had reached their destination. Sam and yugi both got out the train and walked upstairs and out of the train tunnels.

Looking around as the streets and sidewalks was filled with people still. " ... so where to now? " Sam asked as he looked down at yugi whom pulled out his cell phone.

" It says we go down Liverlane and Portland ave. " yugi remarked as he turned his head to look around as Sam did the same and tapped yugi and pointed in the south direction.

" This way. " he stated as the two headed down liverlane and Portland ave heading towards two tall gigantic skyscrapers. The buildings themselves was designed beautifully and had a gigantic see through bridge.

Connecting the two buildings together as they looked at the entrance of the building and it almost looked like an elegant hotel. The corporation had its own valet parking entrance.

Also a place where the lobby itself had a waterfall and multiple diamond chandeliers dangling from the ceilings as yugi and Sam looked at each other and quickly crossed the streets.

Security was hanging outside as they had ear pieces in to speak towards one another, as one of them noticed the two males were approaching the building.

" Yes, excuse me, you two. " he shouted out towards them as he started to walk towards them both. Sam and yugi looked at each other before Sam spoke first.

" Yeah? Wassup? "

" Can I help you both? " the security asked.

" Uhh— no? " Sam said confused.

Yugi chuckled in a nervous tone before he intervened with him and Sam both. " uh- yes actually I have an um- interview today at this building. I am here to see a — interviewer named Grim Baxter? "

Sam looked at yugi whom looked at the security as the security guard then got on his ear piece to speak. " unlock gates. " he spoke as someone replied. " copy that. "

" 10th floor — fifth door on your right. " he stated at the two, as both Sam smirked and looked at yugi whom nodded and smiled at the male. " thank you. " he replied before he grabbed Sam and walked off.

" Jesus... what a fucking weirdo. " Sam whispered as the two giggled and walked into the building, and were taking aback at how beautiful and expensive it looked inside.

" Holy— shit.. this place is amazing... " Sam proclaimed in awh as yugi went up to the reception as they pointed yugi in the same direction as the security told them.

Walking back towards Sam as yugi grabbed Sam and pressed the elevator button and waited as people within suite and office attire outfits walked around and was dealing with several customers.

" Yeah.. this place looks pretty unique and expensive. " yugi chimed in.

" Tell me about it. I feel like this is a building you can wipe your ass with actual toilet paper gold. " Sam remarked as the elevator came down and opened for them.

Yugi laughed as the two got on the elevator and headed towards the tenth floor together, and down the hallways past several offices and saw meetings in glass windows being held.

" Shit.. I'm nervous a bit. " yugi finally said as they walked together.

" Hey. You'll do fine. " Sam remarked

" Thanks. "

The two finally reached the office they were suppose to and Sam opened the door for them both as the lobby inside was nice. Filled with landscape wall paintings and elegant pots for plants.

" Hello. Yes can I help you both? " a lady proclaimed sitting at a desk.

" Uh— yes hello. I'm— yugi mutou this is my friend Sam rider. Uh I have an interview today uh at 11:30 with Grim Baxter. "

" Ooook- let me just look that up for you really quickly. " the lady stated as she begin typing on the computer while Sam explored around and his eyes landed on a gigantic fish tank.

" Okay. I see you Mr. mutou. Please just sit down in here in the lobby and I'll notice Mr. Baxter that you have arrived okay? "

" Okay. Thank you. "

" Mhm. You're welcome. " she replied as she slowly got up from the chair and walked off in a direction as yugi turned around and looked over at Sam whom finally sat down.

" So? "

" Yeah. She's going to go get them for me. " yugi stated.

" Alright... well... guess we wait— how boring. " Sam said with a smirk.

" Tch. Shutup. " yugi said jokingly. As he looked around at the entire sensory. " wow.. can you believe this place though? It's truly amazing.... " he pointed out.

" Yeah.... I just hope you get the job... and we didn't come here and get antagonized by a security guard for nothing. " Sam remarked, as he leaned forward and grabbed a magazine.

After several minutes Grim and the receptionist woman came back and both yugi and Sam looked up as yugi gotten up from the chair. " hi! Hello. I'm Grim. " the male stated as he shook his hand.

" Hi. Yugi. Yugi mutou. "

" Ah. Yes, Mr. mutou. I apologize for being a little tardy, we are very busy today— please if you'd follow me we can get you in this interview. " he asked of him as Sam nodded and smirked.

As yugi looked back and smiled and waved goodbye for now as yugi followed Sam as they both headed down the hallway and into an interview room.
