Become increasingly a “cheater” by interacting with the heroine.

Chapter 4: Chapter 04 – Awakening 04

"Ugh, I guess I'll have to postpone that plan," Akira muttered, leaning back in his chair. His mind was already racing with thoughts about how to prevent Ai's tragic fate. "But what's the best way to stop that from happening? Just warning her about the dangerous fan, Ryu… ugh, what was his name again? It's no use if I can't even remember. And then there's that jealous member… yeah, I forgot her name too. Great."

He let out a frustrated sigh, scratching his head. "Even if I could warn her, Hikaru would just come up with another plan. That guy's too manipulative. Besides, hasn't he already started targeting other actresses yet? Or has that not happened in this world? Without solid evidence, how can I even make her believe me?"

Akira's thoughts spiraled as he tried to piece together a strategy. But it wasn't like he was some genius strategist who could come up with a foolproof plan on the spot. "I don't even know where to start," he muttered, his frustration mounting.

Hiring an assassin to take out Hikaru… it sounded like a tempting idea. But realistically, Akira didn't have the money, connections, or the means to make it happen. Besides, he wanted to enjoy this anime world peacefully. If he made a mistake in executing such a reckless plan, it could easily backfire and end his life instead.

"Hm, I should test how my cheat ability really works first," Akira muttered, leaning back in thought. "It might be a good idea to meet Ai in person. If I can gain something from the interaction, maybe it'll give me an edge to deal with Hikaru in the future."

He hesitated, his conscience tugging at him. "This feels a little wrong… like I'm treating her as part of some strategy. But honestly, I can't think of any other plan that feels both practical and satisfying right now."

With his mind made up, Akira nodded to himself, ready to put his plan into action. He had time—according to the news and videos he had found, Ai had just returned from her break following her pregnancy and recently performed with her idol group, B-Komachi.

Akira began implementing his plan by carefully redrawing the first chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga. He focused on the scenes where Ai and Saitou, the president of Ichigo Productions, first met the doctor, Gorou. However, Akira deliberately avoided including details about Gorou's or Serena's perspectives. His goal wasn't to recreate the entire story but to craft something that would catch Ai and Saitou's attention.

He understood the potential risks—his work could easily come across as a threat rather than admiration. Still, he believed this approach was the quickest way to leave a strong impression on both of them. Once he completed the pages detailing Ai's pregnancy and her initial meeting with Gorou in the hospital, Akira drafted a handwritten letter to accompany his work.

The letter, written as if from a devoted fan, expressed his admiration for Ai and his earnest desire to meet her in person. He carefully included his email address, hoping that Ichigo Productions—being an agency accustomed to receiving fan correspondence—might take his message seriously. After packaging everything together, Akira sent the letter and manga pages to Ichigo Productions.

"Hm... Now all I can do is wait for their reaction. I'm sure they'll respond quickly after seeing the manga panels I sent," Akira muttered to himself, shifting his focus to completing the first chapter of the Oshi no Ko manga, which spanned forty pages.

He worked tirelessly through the night, driven by a strong desire to abandon everything else and dedicate himself entirely to drawing manga. The idea of quitting college crossed his mind more than once. However, the tuition for the semester had already been paid by Akira's parents, leaving him no choice but to continue—at least until he could generate enough income to justify his decision.

Ultimately, Akira decided to treat his time in college as a break from his grueling manga work. While attending classes, he discreetly browsed the internet, trying to find clues about whether other anime characters existed in this world. Despite his exhaustion, the thought of discovering more familiar faces fueled his determination to push forward and if he found one he would be excited.

Thankfully, Akira managed to find another character who earned him a reward, as this individual was renowned in her field.

[Congratulations! You've found Erina Nakiri from Shokugeki no Soma. As a reward, you now possess the knowledge of the script covering five chapters of Shokugeki no Soma.]

[Congratulations! You've found Mai Sakurajima from Bunny Girl Senpai. As a reward, you now possess the knowledge of the script covering one volume of the Bunny Girl Senpai light novel.]

"Oh, this is good. But once again, it's someone who'll be difficult to meet. And, wait… I never thought someone from a supernatural anime would show up here. Plus, the reward is different this time." Akira sighed, feeling the influx of new information as the knowledge from the Shokugeki no Soma manga and the Bunny Girl Senpai light novel settled into his mind, seamlessly integrating with his memories.

"Well, this is still nice," he muttered with a small smile. "But I wonder… which is easier—writing a light novel with about two hundred pages or drawing a forty-page manga?" Akira pondered aloud, considering the unique challenges of each medium as he weighed his new abilities against his growing to-do list.

"Ha… At least I have plenty of options, even if they're all hard to pursue. For now, I'll just wait for Ichigo Production's response to my fan letter," Akira muttered to himself, leaning back in his chair. "As far as I can tell, the light novel written by Utaha hasn't been doing well since its release. If I'm not mistaken, it only became a bestseller when Tomoya Aki helped her."

Akira sighed, knowing he couldn't replicate Tomoya's success since he lacked a major platform like the one Tomoya had built. Even so, he figured it wouldn't hurt to try something—especially if it gave him a chance to meet Utaha. While meeting her might not result in a huge or promising reward, the novel Saekano had spawned two anime seasons and even a movie, making it a worthwhile effort. Moreover, the presence of the first volume of Bunny Girl Senpai might provide Akira an opportunity to connect with the publishing company Utaha worked for, opening doors for him to light novel industry.

In any case, with all the new information he had received, Akira realized he needed to start devising multiple plans to meet various female characters from this anime.
