All My Disciples Are Insane!

Chapter 4: Wooded stick v War Hunchback beast

It really is the beast!" He Yiming's heart sank.

The War Hunchback Beast wasn't particularly flashy, but its defensive capabilities were insane. Its body was covered in thick scales, and those thick limbs? Yeah, they weren't just for show. This thing had strength that far outclassed any cultivator at the same stage.

In other words: a walking cheat code.

"Damn, why is this monster so... menacing?"

"The fuck? You're a wimp! I've killed a thousand monsters like this before. This one's easy peasy."

"In 'Monster Hunter 7,' I fought a beast called Old Mountain Dragon. This thing is like a pet kitten compared to that!"

Some of the players were terrified, but the majority seemed unfazed. After all, they'd seen worse in countless VR games. What could possibly scare them now?

"Is this a joke?"

"Pffft, no big deal! This is probably just the warm-up fight."

He Yiming knew better. These players? First stage of Body Tempering. This beast was way out of their league.

"Disciples, retreat!" He shouted, but before he could even finish the sentence, one overly eager player was already charging forward with a wooden stick.

"Watch this, boys! Gonna score my first kill!"

He Yiming froze.

Beef Noodle, what the hell are you doing?! You're really gonna take on a Spirit Vein Realm beast with a stick?

"What the hell? Is he seriously charging in with that?"

"Bro, where's the plan? What happened to strategy?"

At this point, the War Hunchback Beast, probably annoyed by the sight of this overly confident moron, raised its front hooves.

"Be careful, that's the War Hunchback Stomp!" He Yiming yelled, watching in slow-motion horror.

But the player was already too far gone.

The beast stomped the ground, and an earthquake seemed to ripple out from it. Even players standing 40 meters away felt their bodies tremble, almost losing their balance.

"The stomp will destabilize anyone nearby, leaving them wide open for an easy kill," He Yiming explained, trying to sound casual, though his gaze was still fixed on the disaster unfolding.

And then…

BOOM.

Beef Noodle flew through the air like a ragdoll, and with a sickening crunch, his body was crushed mid-flight.

"Well, that was quick…" He Yiming muttered to himself.

Around him, the other players stared in horror.

"What the hell? He got one-shotted?"

"This game isn't a cultivation game! This is Dark Souls in disguise!"

"Dang... did that just really happen? What a retard."

Meanwhile, Beef Noodle was staring at the game's login screen with pure confusion.

Welcome, Player Beef Noodle.

Your character has been dead for too long. It is recommended that you restart.

"This game is toxic!" Beef Noodle yelled at the screen.

"Are you kidding me? A monster from the novice village just wiped me out in one hit?!"

He Yiming watched with a wry smile. "War Hunchback Beast's only real skill is the War Hunchback Stomp. It's fast, it's strong, and it'll squash you like a bug if you're not careful."

Just as he finished speaking, he stepped forward and activated his Spirit Vein cultivation.

The War Hunchback Beast roared, charging at him like it had a personal vendetta.

He Yiming was ready. He leaped into the air, dodging the beast's attack just in time.

The beast's hooves slammed into the ground with such force that the earth cracked, sending shockwaves through the entire area.

"Holy shit, it's that strong?" One player whispered.

"Brother Ming, what did you do to piss it off?"

"Shhh, he's got this, don't worry!"

The beast, now angrier than ever, was faster. Stronger. It was like a berserk mode, and it was absolutely terrifying.

He Yiming, however, was in his element. He was quick, agile, and—most importantly—he knew the beast's weaknesses.

"The War Hunchback Beast's hide is nearly indestructible. But it has one weak spot: its lower abdomen!" He yelled as he dodged another attack.

He struck the beast, landing a powerful punch to its head.

The beast reeled, letting out a low, guttural growl. But it wasn't finished yet. The hit only seemed to piss it off more.

Its speed increased, its power surged.

"Holy shit, it's got a rage mode?!"

But He Yiming wasn't backing down.

"Lightning Strike Technique!" He raised his hands, and a bolt of lightning shot from his fingertips, striking the beast with a crackling burst of power.

The War Hunchback Beast shrieked in pain, its body freezing from the shock.

Taking advantage of the opening, He Yiming rushed forward. Spiritual energy gathered in his right hand, condensed into a solid force.

He landed a precise strike to the beast's abdomen, puncturing its thick hide.

With a sickening puchi, the beast's insides spilled out in a grotesque mess, its body collapsing in a heap.

"That's how you do it!" He Yiming said, brushing his hands off, satisfied with his performance.

The players, still in shock, could only stare.

"Dude, that was insane."

"Is it dead? It's dead, right?"

"Of course it's dead! You don't think Brother Ming is gonna lose to some random beast, do you?"

The beast's body lay still on the ground, and the players slowly started gathering around, more interested in the loot than the fact that they had just witnessed a massacre.

"Hey, where's the loot? I'm ready to loot this thing!"

He Yiming shook his head with a grin. "This isn't that kind of game. But don't worry, there will be more monsters, and I have plenty of other plans for you all."

The players' faces lit up.

He Yiming couldn't help but laugh. These players truly are cluesless.
