A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1229: How Strong I Truly Am

Archer watched as shouts turned to desperate screams as the Oathkeepers crashed into the enemy formation, weapons cleaving through armor and flesh. One knight swung a massive warhammer, obliterating a line of defenders in a single devastating strike.

Another raised a jagged greatsword high, cutting through enemies with terrifying strength, leaving nothing but carnage in his wake. Blood sprayed into the air, glistening like crimson rain under the pale light.

The screams of the dying mingled with the sickening sound of steel meeting bone. The Oathkeepers moved methodically. This wasn't a battle, it was a bloody massacre. Archer folded his arms, his grin widening as he took it all in.

''Excellent, they are definitely worth the resources to create,'' he murmured, his voice low but tinged with dark amusement. The fear in the enemy soldiers' eyes as they scattered like rats only fueled his satisfaction.

One soldier broke from the chaos, sprinting away. Archer's sharp gaze locked onto him, and with a lazy flick of his hand, a Mana Bolt shot through the air, embedding itself in the fleeing man's back.

The enemy crumpled to the ground, lifeless, as he muttered with a grin, ''There's no escape for those who stand in our way.''

His knights continued their grim work for hours. Their movements were relentless, as if driven by an unyielding will. The Oathkeepers reduced the enemy force to a field of broken bodies and blood-soaked earth.

Through it all, Archer watched with a knowing smile as the amount of Alliance soldiers that were butchered on his side of the river shocked the remaining enemies, but he looked at them before opening a portal to the Domain.

'Vivi, can you send a small army of flying ants?' he sent the beautiful redhead a message.

'Yes darling,' Vivienne instantly answered in a cheerful voice. 'They are on their way now.'

Seconds later, he shouted to the Oathkeepers as they were about to march across the bridge, ''Return my knights!''

The giants made their way back to him as a wave of Flying Nightmare Ants shot out of the portal and headed straight for the Alliance army. He watched as the enemies panicked and started to flee, but it was too late.

Archer stood on the riverbank, the faint glimmer of the setting sun reflecting in the rushing water. His violet eyes narrowed as a swarm of flying ants descended like a living shadow, their wings creating a droning hum that sent chills through the remaining enemy soldiers.

The soldiers, once defiant, now screamed in sheer terror as the swarm enveloped them. Each ant was the size of a lion on Earth, its chitinous body glinting with an otherworldly sheen.

Their mandibles tore through armor, flesh, and bone alike. Archer and the Oathkeepers' heard the sickening sounds of ripping and snapping, along with the dying's agonized wails, filled the air.

While standing there, Vivienne sent him a message, 'Can I have the bodies, handsome? They will help with the young.'

Another hour passed while they killed the remaining enemy soldiers. The massive flying ants descended upon the battlefield like predators. One by one, the ants carried the corpses through the portal, vanishing into the colony beyond.

Vivienne asked would feed the next generation of the swarm, a grim cycle of life and death. Thalion stood nearby, his gaze fixed on the eerie spectacle, his voice tinged with curiosity as he broke the silence. ''My king, what are they doing with the bodies?''

Archer didn't reply and summoned the Nightmare Cave Spiders, Chull, Dark Termite, Venomwings and Chasm Spiders to collect some along with the ants. Once he was finished with that, he turned to the Oathkeepers.

They were staring, causing him to laugh before explaining, ''These are my monsters. They live and grow in my Domain.''

Thalion nodded in understanding as Archer continued, ''Let's set up camp on the other side of the river. There's no point pushing through when night comes. This land is full of dangerous monsters and horrifying creatures.''

''The Swarm is active,'' he murmured to himself, a faint smirk playing on his lips. His mind raced with possibilities, calculating the best strategy to deal with the impending threat. 'Who should I call upon to deal with this?'

'Aeliana! Can you send an army of Cave Spiders to help me fight the Swarm?' he sent the spider queen a message.

'Yes, boss! I'll send my strongest children now,' she replied in an excited voice.

Following that, Archer opened a portal just next to him just as lion sized spiders skittered out and made his skin crawl. The monsters swarmed him. Some of them started poking and prodding him, which made things worse.

'Don't worry, boss! They see you as a king, sort of. It's your mana that helped them grow and the little ones know it,' Aeliana revealed.

Archer chuckled when hearing this before stroking some spiders while speaking. ''There's an army closing in on us. Can you help me beat them?''

Loud chittering echoed out as more Cave Spiders poured out of the portal just as a swarm of Blightborns and Ghouls appeared from a nearby forest. When his monsters saw this, the biggest one led the charge.

The first clash was thunderous and completely amazed Archer. A massive spider lunged, its fangs glinting in the faint moonlight as it sank them into the lead creature, venom pumping into its prey.

He watched as the Swarm howled in response, surging forward, trying to overwhelm his monsters, but the spiders were persistent. One reared up, spinning a web with lightning speed, ensnaring three creatures in a cocoon before lunging at them.

'Oh wow, they're strong,' Archer thought as excitement welled up inside him.

Another lashed out with its spiked legs, skewering multiple enemies in a single move. The battle erupted as monsters clashed with the enemy's creatures; his spiders moved with eerie coordination as they tore through the Swarm.

The creatures fought back, their claws striking out wildly, but the Nightmare Cave Spiders were too fast, too deadly. Venom dripped from their fangs, sizzling as it touched the ground, dissolving any creature unlucky enough to be caught in their path.

Archer continued to watch the battle with a grin, his eyes following the spiders. ''Perfect,'' he murmured, his voice barely audible over the noise of battle. ''They're more than a match for the Swarm.''

A large, hulking monstrosity with spiked armor charged toward the spiders, roaring its defiance. One of the largest spiders, its carapace glistening like obsidian, leaped onto the beast's back.

Its fangs struck home, injecting enough venom to make the Swarms monstrosity thrash violently before collapsing into a lifeless heap. The Swarm's confidence faltered, their numbers dwindling rapidly.

The battlefield was a hellscape of twitching bodies, glistening webs, and the eerie glow of the spiders' many eyes. As the last of the Swarm attempted to flee, his monsters gave chase, their hunger insatiable.

Archer let out a low chuckle, his tone laced with amusement. ''Run if you like. The spiders will hunt you down.''

The battle was over as quickly as it had begun, leaving only silence and the glint of moonlight on the carnage below. He watched as the victorious spiders returned to the Domain dragging bodies with them.

''Impressive,'' he said softly, nodding in approval. ''Aeliana never disappoints.''

Archer turned to the Oathkeepers when the ground trembled violently. The quakes drew everyone's attention to the source, their gazes snapping toward the horizon. Three towering giants emerged, their massive forms looming in the distance.

Each step they took sent shockwaves through the earth. Archer's sharp eyes narrowed as a low growl escaped his throat. He clenched his fists, his disdain for the creatures and muttered with a voice laced with venom, ''Giants.''

The very sight of them ignited rage within him. He loathed these monstrous beings with every fiber of his being. When the Oathkeepers saw this, they readied to fight but Archer waved them away.

''I'll deal with these creatures and then you'll know how strong I truly am,'' he remarked with a confident grin.

Archer's piercing gaze locked on the lead giant, striding forward with thunderous steps. The beast loomed, its grotesque form radiating raw power and menace. His lips curled into a feral grin as a surge of energy crackled through his body.

In an instant, he exploded forward, the force of his takeoff leaving a crater where he had stood. The surrounding air seemed to warp from the sheer speed, a streak of blinding light trailing in his wake.

The lead giant barely had time to register his approach before Archer was upon it. With a roar that reverberated across the battlefield, he drove his fist forward, his entire arm engulfed in a brilliant, fiery glow as he unleashed a fully charged Nova Punch.

The impact was cataclysmic and for a split second, there was a deafening silence, as if the world itself held its breath. Then, the explosion erupted. A blinding wave of mana tore through the air, the force so immense that it flattened the surrounding terrain.
