The ones that arrived first in the end were the representatives from the various sects.

They came before the date of the sect recruitment.

It was partly because they wanted to greet the Love Sect before the sect recruitment took place.

The representatives from the various sects did what they could to try and impress him, but it didn't seem like Lin Fan was interested in anything that they said. Instead, he just exchanged a few words with them before moving onto the next person.

That was until one of them suddenly said, "Sect Master Lin, this is a present from our Voyager Sect. I hope that you will accept this."

As soon as this person presented this gift, he immediately became the center of attention.

But it wasn't the fact that he gave the gift that he became the center of attention, it was because they all wanted to see how Lin Fan would react to this gift. They wanted to see if he would accept this gift or if he would reject it.

That would decide what they would do next.

Lin Fan looked at the gift that was presented and then with a simple nod, he took it before saying, "Thank you for your kindness. Unfortunately, we don't have a gift to give back to you. However, we will keep this kindness in mind for when we meet next time."

The representative from the Voyager Sect immediately started to beam when he heard this before quickly saying, "No, no, no, it's already an honour to have Sect Master Lin receive my gift. How could we expect anything else?"

Lin Fan gave another simple nod before saying, "To receive a gift is also an honour." Then narrowing his eyes to look at him, he said, "Or are you not accepting my repayment?"

The representative from the Voyager Sect was pleasantly surprised to hear this.

He wasn't offended at all by what Lin Fan said, he even looked like his face was about to crack from the smile that he had on it. It really seemed like he wasn't able to hold back his smile with the way that he was acting.

But the others understood why he was acting this way.

This was a bond that had been formed with the Love Sect…

The other representatives couldn't help feeling envious of the fact that the representative from the Voyager Sect had been able to form this bond that easily.

However, it also told them exactly what they should do.

"Sect Master Lin, please accept this gift on behalf of our sect."

"Sect Master Lin, I hope that you won't mind the poor gift that we've brought for you."

"Sect Master Lin, this is the gift from our sect!"

All of them took out their gifts and started offering them to Lin Fan. With the way that they did it, it was almost as if they were competing with each other to offer their gifts to him.

During this time, Lin Fan just calmly accepted all of their gifts with simple nods.

Then when they tried to reject his promise, he narrowed his eyes to look at them and said the same thing as before. When he did, they quickly changed their tone and thanked him for this.

They all played along with him even though it was clear that they were very happy about this.

This was all a part of putting on a show.

There were some things that couldn't be said out loud, so the only thing that they could do was put on a show with Lin Fan.

When it was over, the representatives from the sects all looked very satisfied by the welcome that they received.

As for Lin Fan, he just left the reception hall with Senior Brother Ying by his side.

There didn't seem to be a single emotion on his face.

After leaving the reception hall, neither of them said a single thing as they moved through the halls of the Love Sect.

It was only when they were in a private room that Senior Brother Ying took out a pen and paper for Lin Fan.

Lin Fan wrote a few things on the paper before handing it back to Senior Brother Ying.

With a serious look on his face, Senior Brother Ying looked carefully at the piece of paper.

When he was done reading it, he looked up at Lin Fan with a strange look and asked, "Sect master, is this correct?"

Lin Fan just calmly gave a nod in response.

The strange look on Senior Brother Ying's face became even more strange when he saw this, but he didn't say anything else. After a moment of silence, he said with a nod, "Alright, I'll make sure that this gets to the right people. They'll take care of the rest."

Lin Fan once again responded with a nod.

Senior Brother Ying also didn't say anything as he left this room.

When Lin Fan was alone, he couldn't help saying to himself, "I never thought that just by spreading a little bait, I would get this bite already. It seems that these people really thought that they would never be discovered, but they never expected me to have these abilities. Even if they want to hide, it's impossible for them to hide from me."

After saying this, he just gave a sigh before saying, "I hope that this will be the end of it or else they'll keep dragging me into this."
