Wings of Fire in MHA

Carter woke up as his plane touched down in Tokyo, sitting up he turned his headphone off before looking out side at the Tokyo skyline, even from the plane it was impressive and he looked forward to exploring the city later. After he got through customs and reached the pickup terminal, he looked around and finally saw someone holding a sign with his name on it, walking over he was surprised because with his senses he could sense the power in the man before him but looking at him this skinny blonde man looked like he was about to collapse any second now, "Are you Carter Bate?" the man said as Carter reached him and he nodded, "Welcome to Japan young Carter! My name is Toshinori Yagi and I'll be taking you to Mustafu and showing you around." Toshinori said with a wide smile on his face the reminded him of Cathleen. As they got into the car prepared beforehand Carter couldn't help but respond to all the questions Toshinori had, the man's excitement and smile were infectious and Carter enjoyed the ride to the train station, the best part was the train ride however as they had gotten a cabin to themselves for the two hour train ride and Carter had been able to stretch his wings some while Toshinori told him all sorts of interesting facts about Japan and U.A

After they reached the train station and got off Toshinori surprised Carter, "The principal of U.A wanted to meet you since you are one of two exchange students so we'll be going there before I show you to your apartment." he said as he hailed a cab and the soon arrived at U.A and Carter had to admit, it was very impressive with a large wall protecting the school with the main building looking like a massive letter 'H'. As they walked through the empty halls Carter asked how classes would work and where things were and was surprised to learn that the school offered more than just Hero Studies, there were also support courses to make gear for heroes as well as a business and gen ed course.

As they reached a door that read 'Principal' Toshinori knocked and a voice from inside answered after a moment "Come in!". As he entered Carter noticed that the space was very functional but everything was slightly smaller and when he saw the principal he knew why "It's me, Nezu, the one who could be a dog or a mouse or a bear, but more importantly... I'm the principal!" he said with glee as he raised his hand, paw? for him to shake. "Nice to meet you Principal Nezu." Carter said as he took a seat in front of the desk while Toshinori took a seat at one of the sofas near a window, "I hope your flight here was well?" Nezu said and Carter nodded "Yes and Toshinori-San made the train ride very enjoyable, I have learned many things about Japanese culture but look forward to learning more once school starts." he said as Nezu looked pleased "Yes, I sent him since I knew that he would get along with just about anyone he meets so I am pleased that you two could get along." he said before he became serious "Now as I'm sure you know, Cathleen is a U.S military asset and cannot leave the U.S unless the country is being threatened so while you are here, please try to stay out of trouble as the Hero Commision will be keeping their eyes on you." Nezu said and Carter nodded Cathleen had told him all about the HPSC and their nasty tricks and how to avoid them, so he was more then prepared to deal with them "Now as for school, since you ARE an exchange student you don't have to take the entrance exam and can just be placed into the 2nd hero class, or you can take the exam to try and get into the 1st class." Nezu said with a knowing smile as if he knew exactly what he would do. "I'll take the entrance exam, I would feel better knowing that I had earned my place rather than take a handout." Carter said as Nezus smile widened "Very well, its been nice talking but I'm sure you're ready to see your accommodation so Toshinori will take you there now." he said as Carter stood up and shook his hand again before he and Toshinori left the principal's office with Nezu watching the entire time.

As they walked back to the entrance across the main causeway in front of the school Carter couldn't help but ask "Is Principal Nezu related to the experimentations carried out several decades ago?" he aid as Toshinoris smile dimmed slightly "Yes, he was experimented on due to his increased intellect but Japan discovered what was happening and rescued him and he had built U.A from the ground up and trained several generations of successful heroes in gratitude for his rescue." he said as they hailed another cab and stopped in front of an apartment complex and got out. Knowing when not to speak Carter remained silent as they walked up and Toshinori stopped on the 3rd floor.

"Well this is it, its got everything necessary but if there is anything else you need, there are a couple of store within walking distance, and here is my number incase something happens." He said as he opened the door and showed him around before handing him the key "The entrance exam will be in two days, here is the pass you'll need to get past the gate." he said s he gave Carter a keycard on a lanyard before he left and Carter collapsed onto his bed as the jet lag finally caught up to him and he went to sleep.

NEXT DAY

As Carter finished his shower and breakfast he stepped out of his apartment at 5:00 am and made his way downstairs for his morning run that was his way of waking up in the morning, as he ran he enjoyed the sights of Musutafu and the cold clean, air he passed by houses and stores, reaching U.A he stopped and caught his breath before he started doing stretches for 30 minutes before he started to run back. On the way he stopped at a store about 5 minutes away from his apartment and went in to find some necessities that he would need. Walking around he grabbed a handbasket and picked up several items, a reusable water bottle,a pair of dumbells (bc customs took his at the airport) and a few groceries that he would need for the week. One thing he noticed was how much taller he was compared to everyone else and how much space he took up with his wings, even with them tucked in, getting him plenty of funny looks from people, after he paid for his things we went back and as he was opening the door to his apartment a voice behind him spoke "Oh hi, are you new here?" someone said and he turned around to see a girl with surprisingly pink cheeks with brown hair who just like Carter was dressed in athletic gear, that did nothing to hide her figure as Carter looked her straight in the eyes 'no sense getting attracted to someone who will die before I look 25' he thought it was morbid yes, but also true. "Yes I'm new here, I just moved in yesterday." he said quickly not wanting to talk but also not wanting to be rude, "Hey what a coincidence I moved in yesterday to, are you here for the U.A entrance exam too" she said as she perked up excited to find common ground and maybe a new friend, "Yeah, they said I didn't have to being an exchange student but I decided to anyway." he said as she just got even more excited "Wow, maybe we'll be in the same class, my names Ochako Uraraka, What's your name? she asked "Carter Bate, nice to meet you Ochako-chan, but I have things to put away so I'll leave first." he said before plotitly leaving as she just nodded and said goodby.

'That's was exhausting' he thought as he put his groceries away and grabbing the dumbells he though 'I enchant these dumbells to adjust their weight to match the strength of whomever hold them.' he thought as the simple 5 pound weight shots up to 100 lbs and finding a good spot in the living room he got to work doing all sorts of exercises for an hour before he stopped for lunch. After a good meal he sat down and seeing as he only had a phone decided to go out and buy some things he might need, looking up electronic store he found one close buy and set out for it jogging the whole way to get some more cardio in.

As he reached the store he walked in and immediately he drew attention because of his wings, a store worker walked over and asked with a smile "Good evening, are you looking for anything in particular today?" he asked as Carter nodded "Yes, I'm looking for a laptop to use for school and a desktop computer for games." he said as the man nodded and showed him several options from the best ones they had in stock to the ones that weren't the best but were a bit more reliable. Once he had picked out what he wanted he had bought a bad to carry his things in as well and set back out for home. Once he reached the apartment he started to set up his new laptop and while it was doing its thing he started setting up his PC as well before he started on dinner, as he cooked he finished the necessary steps to set up him computers and customized his laptop while setting up his accounts and downloading his games on his PC. Once he was done with that he ate dinner while on the phone with Cathleen and even after he finished eating they continued talking until they both went to sleep to get ready for the next day.

Next Day-U.A high school

As Carter walks up the steps to the U.A building he sees many interesting people with strange and unique quirks but his attention is drawn to a thin boy with a mop of green hair on his head who is mumbling to himself, but what caught his attention was the power he could sense coming off him, it was immense and it seemed eerily similar to Toshinori, as he watched the boy he noticed that he wasn't watching where he was going and had tripped but before he could say anything someone else caught him, it was that girl from yesterday he realized as she helped the boy and said something to him before she ran into the building and when Carter caught up he saw that they boy was blushing up a storm making him snort, 'huh you'll never see me like that, never again.' he thought as he walked into the auditorium for the exam.

It was very crowded so he got a seat towards the back and noticed that the mumbling boy ended up sitting next to him, before long a man with crazy blonde hair appeared on stage and everyone started to calm down, seeing things were somewhat calm the man opened up with mouth and Carter immediately wanted him to shut up, "HEY EVERYBODY HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY!!" he said as no one from the assembled students said anything "TOUGH CROWD HUH, WELL SINCE YOU'RE ALL HERE FOR THE HERO EXAM LETS GO OVER WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT." he said as he started to explain the point system as Carter tried his best to regulate his hearing as the man quirk that most likely amplified his voice was making Carters head spin, that and the mumbling boy next to him sure didn't help.

Eventually the explanation was over and as they left they were given tickets to what area their test would be in, seeing his ticket read A he boarded the bus the had that stenciled on the side, ad they left. Carter marveled at how much land the school had and wondered how Nezu had managed to pay for everything. Reaching the exam ground he was surprised to see a mock city and guessed that they would have them fight fake villains, getting out he took his spot and as the door opened they heard the loud voice from before "BEGIN!!" they all just looked around but Carter leaped forward using his wings to fly above the other before he shot into the fake city, seeing everyone just looking at each other the voice came again "VILLAINS WON'T WAIT SO GET TO IT, THE TEST ALREADY STARTED!!" and immediately a blonde headed girl screamed "FUCK OUTTA MY WAY EXTRAS!!" as she blasted into the city using explosion with the rest hot on her tail as they tried to catch up.

U.A TEST CONTROL ROOM

As the teachers watched they immediately noticed two students who stood out, "Hey isn't that the exchange boy who decided to take the exam still?" Midnight said pointing to a screen with Carter smashing through robots with ease "Yes he seemed quite excited to take the exam" Nezu said as Toshinori glanced at the screen before focusing back nervously on Isuku hoping that he would pass. 'He knew not to wait at least' Aizawa thought as he asked "Where did he learn how to fight, he moves like a soldier rather than a kid who's got fighting talent." he asked Nezu who was looking a a screen with a explosive individual on it, moving to a screen with a pink skinned girl he said "I don't know, but he was adopted by a U.S hero so it makes sense in a way." Nezu said 'Not the way this kid is fighting' Aizawa thought as he watched Carter rip a three pointer in half with his bare hand before using the two halves as makeshift cudgels to bash more robots tht swarmed him. But eventually he turned his attention elsewhere as there were more than just one competent student thins year.

Carter Pov-

As he tossed the shattered metal chassis to the side he flexed his claws and flew forward with his wings ripping another robot to shreds as he remembered the fighting skills that were honed through blood and death in his last life, and slowly without him noticing he was losing himself to it, but every so often he would pause his senseless slaughter of robots to help those who were stuck under things of getting swarmed by robots, along the way he noticed that there was another person taking out robots with reckless abandon, pausing he watched as se blew apart a three pointer robot before smashing a one pointer with her legs and though 'Crude but could be better the potential is there' he thought before another cry for help drew his attention, after helping a girl trapped by a large number of robots though he felt the ground shake and looking up he spotted a massive robot, it must have been several stories tall as it rolled over the city scape with student running the opposite way and he leapt into action grabbing those who where falling behind before he turned to the zero pointer and taking a step he froze, here he was fighting for those weaker than him 'They don't need your help, they should stop being useless' a part of him thought to his surprise 'no that's not right, i have this power to make up for my past mistakes, I have to protect them' he though before running over and helping someone stuck under a large piece of concrete 'Weakling that can only run to the strong when in trouble' the voice said but he just pushed it down and focused on saving more people and he saw the explosion girl from earlier trying to take down the robot but her explosions didn't do enough damage.

Dropping the last person off at the entrance he turned and flew straight at the head of the robot before the thoughts he were pushing down pushed back and hard, 'Your a fraud, with strength not your own trying to play the hero to make up for your sins, but the blood on your hands will never dry' they sneered as he faltered but charged nonetheless. 'I will prove you wrong' he though right before he slammed into the robots midsection and tore straight through the metal, seeing as he was inside he decided that the best course of action was to burn it from the inside, so taking a deep breath he did just that.

General Pov-

As the students and teachers watched Carter fly of they wondered what was wrong as they saw him flater several times before he tore a hole into the robot, confused the waited for him to come out on the other side before they saw the robot start to turn bright red and orange, and they watched in awe as it burst into flames and out came Carter flapping his wings and he flew around the massive head of the robot breathing plumes of flame that melted steel and iron and seeing someone fall they cried out but Carter caught them and brought them over as the robot turned to molten slag. "I didn't need your help dammit." the ferocious blonde yelled at Carter as he set her down and he snapped out of his internally shouting match to address the furious girl who barely came up to his chin, "If you didn't need help then you would still be back there and on fire, be grateful." he said before turning and getting back on the bus as a few of the students agreed with him nodding which the girl swiftly noticed and corrected "The hell are you nodding for!" she yelled as they all scattered and fled back to the bus "Tch,damn extras."

"Well she is certainly spirited isn't she?" Nezu asked as Aizawa rolled his eyes, to his left Toshinori breathed a sigh of relief that Izuku had survived the fall thanks to the girl who was there as he might have died hitting the ground, he would be sure to thank the young lady later but for now he was just glad that his student had passed.

LATER THAT EVENING

As he walked home Carter continued fighting something in his head as he ran back to his apartment, and he wondered why the voices decided to talk today was it because he was doing something good for once? He didn't know but he collapsed onto the couch when he got home and promptly got back up as he was hungry and fixed his dinner before taking a shower and texting Cathleen and his friends about the exam before he fell asleep.

Waking up the next day he stretched before starting breakfast and going on his run, along the way he spotted that Ochako girl doing exercise as and was glad that not all young people were at home stuffing their faces or rotting their brains, when he got back and ate lunch the doorbell rang and opening it he saw Toshinori "Hello Carter-Kun, I have some good news may I come in?" he said with his trademark smile, "Of course Toshinori-San, would you like something to drink?" Carter said as Toshi talked in and took a seat on the couch "No thank you, I still have a few more errands to run today, but the principal wanted me to tell you in person that you passed the exam with flying colors and will be in class 1-A starting next week, congratulations!" he said as Carter smiled and said thanks, truth be told it was easy but he would never say that since it was rude, after that Toshi gave him a few forms that needed to be filled out and turned in on the first day and after that he left, as he saw him out Carter spotted and heard Ochako coming up the stairs and quickly shut the door, she was probably a nice girl but he had no interest in talking for forever as he still had things to do but he had made it, Class 1-A!

A/N-I couldn't sleep so I made another chapter, might make another one tomm . . . today acutaly might make aother one today but sleepy so gn
