When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 84: New Alliance

The group made their way back to the village, the fading light of the sunset painting the sky in shades of orange and purple. The villagers, sensing the return of their leader and the visitors, gathered at the main square to greet them. The warmth of the villagers' hospitality immediately set a cheerful tone for the evening.

Shuna had outdone herself in preparation for the occasion. She had not only cooked an elaborate feast but had also designed exquisite Japanese-style clothing for Gazel and his guards to wear during their stay. The garments were elegant yet functional, with intricate patterns that blended the traditional aesthetics of Rimuru's past world with the practicality suited for Dwargon's warriors.

As Gazel and his men tried on the clothing, the Dwarven King couldn't help but marvel. "These are remarkable," he said, running his hand over the fine fabric. "The craftsmanship, the attention to detail… I've never seen anything like this."

Shuna, who was standing nearby, bowed gracefully. "Thank you, King Gazel. It was an honor to prepare these for you. If there's anything you'd like altered, please let me know."

One of Gazel's guards chimed in, "I don't think we'd dare ask for changes. These are perfect as they are."

Rimuru chuckled. "That's Shuna for you. She always puts her heart into everything she makes."

The feast began shortly after, with long tables laden with dishes that would make even the most stoic of kings salivate. There were savory stews, perfectly grilled meats, fresh vegetables seasoned to perfection, fluffy rice, and an array of desserts that looked too beautiful to eat. Shuna and her crew moved efficiently, serving the guests and ensuring everyone was satisfied.

Gazel took a bite of a dish and immediately froze. His eyes widened as he savored the flavor. "This… this is incredible!" he exclaimed. "I've had my fair share of gourmet meals, but nothing compares to this."

Rimuru grinned, leaning back in his chair. "Glad you like it. Shuna's cooking is one of our greatest treasures here in Tempest."

One of Gazel's guards, who had been skeptical earlier, was now devouring a plate of food with an almost childlike enthusiasm. "Your Majesty," he said between bites, "if this is what they eat here every day, I'm considering moving to Tempest!"

The room erupted in laughter, and the tension from earlier completely evaporated.

Benimaru raised his glass, smirking. "Looks like we've won over the Dwarven King with food alone. That's a new strategy, Rimuru-sama."

Gazel laughed heartily, raising his own glass. "Food this good is enough to win any war. If you ever open trade with Dwargon, I'll be your first customer."

Rimuru leaned forward. "That's actually not a bad idea. We could share recipes and ingredients. I'm sure there are things you have in Dwargon that we could use here."

Gazel nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed. And that's not all. With the craftsmanship of my people and the innovation I've seen here, I think we could create something truly remarkable together."

As the evening progressed, the topics of conversation grew more serious. Gazel, sensing the right moment, set down his glass and looked directly at Rimuru. The lively chatter around the table quieted as everyone noticed the shift in his demeanor.

"Rimuru," Gazel began, his tone measured. "Your country is remarkable. From what I've seen so far, you've built something extraordinary here. But I have to ask—what are your plans? What kind of nation are you trying to create?"

Rimuru met Gazel's gaze, his expression calm but thoughtful. "My goal is simple. I want to create a place where everyone, no matter their race or origin, can live in peace and prosperity. A place where people can grow stronger together, where innovation and cooperation thrive. I want Tempest to be a beacon of hope in this chaotic world."

Gazel studied Rimuru for a moment, then nodded. "A noble vision. But you understand that such a dream will attract enemies. Many will see your strength and unity as a threat, and they won't hesitate to try and destroy what you've built."

Rimuru smiled faintly. "I'm prepared for that. I won't let anyone take this place away from us. And if they try, they'll find out just how strong Tempest truly is."

The conversation turned to alliances. Gazel leaned forward, his voice firm. "I propose that we form an official alliance between Dwargon and your country. With our combined strength, we can protect each other and ensure mutual prosperity."

The generals exchanged glances, and it was Benimaru who spoke up. "If we're going to form an alliance, we need a proper name for our nation."

Shion nodded enthusiastically. "How about something grand and inspiring? Like the Jura Tempest Federation!"

The name was met with nods and murmurs of approval. Even Gazel seemed impressed.

"I like it," he said. "It has a strong ring to it."

The generals then decided on the name for their city. "The first city of the Jura Tempest Federation should be called Rimuru City," Souei suggested.

Rimuru blushed slightly. "Isn't that a bit much? Naming the city after me…"

Shion grinned. "It's only fitting, Rimuru-sama. You're the heart of this place."

Gazel raised his glass. "To the Jura Tempest Federation and to our alliance."

The group clinked their glasses together, sealing the moment with laughter and cheers.

The night stretched on with more food, drinks, and lighthearted conversation. Rimuru shared stories from his past life, carefully omitting the parts that would be too confusing, while Gazel recounted tales of his adventures as king. The two groups grew more comfortable with each other, their bond solidifying with each passing moment.

Unbeknownst to them, far away, several powerful individuals were watching Tempest with keen interest. Some saw the growing nation as an opportunity; others saw it as a threat. Plans were being made, schemes set into motion. But for now, in the heart of Rimuru City, laughter and joy filled the air, a celebration of unity and the bright future that lay ahead.
