Chapter 558: Family Time (3)
With Yang Xue readily answering the previous question, she then looked back to me with a smirk. She clearly knew that it was my turn to explain the other questions. At this point it was like I was being ganged up on.
"So then? Would I be an aunt too?" One of my younger brothers asked, rather curious about it.
While my siblings were geniuses in developing and growing to the point of speech rather quickly, they were still naive, innocent and uninformed. It was only natural that a question like that would come out of their mouths. Though I was surprised by a few things, Yang Xingjuan looked like she was almost to the point of tears, and there were several others with a similar look about them.
"No, you're my little brother, so you would be an uncle, not an aunt." I answered, with a light chuckle and patting my curious little brother on his head.
"So, then I'm closer to being like big brother then?" My little brother asked, putting the bits of information together. He then gave Yang Xingjuan and his sisters a smirk.
"WAHH! I wanted to be like my big brother! No fair!" Yang Xingjuan pouted with tears, sinking into Su Yan's bosom.
"Pfft, Husband, why did you have to go and make your sister cry like that?" Huo Lei giggled as she teased me. "Don't worry Xingjuan, you'll be a big sister. And that's something even your big brother can't do." She smirked, continuing to giggle.
Poking her little head out, Xingjuan looked as though the tears were gone. "Really?" She asked.
"That's right. You'll be something I am incapable of being." I nodded.
With that resolved the issues of wanting to be like their big brother, me, were finally resolved. I let out an internal sigh of relief… Which in turn expanded my cultivation far too much…
"Well than hurt…" I muttered under my breath and paused for a couple of breaths. "There, I almost broke through early… Or was it something else? I might have to investigate that…" I continued murmuring.
"Not before you answer those questions." Su Yan said, staring at me with the clear intention that I would not be let off easily.
"Alright, if you say so, Mother. After all, I can not refuse you." I said, recovering my senses. "Now then, for how babies are made… Hmm, well, it starts when two lovers, more specifically a man and a woman…" I started, and began a rather tame version of the birds and bees.
At least that's what I thought. However, in my attempts to be less descriptive and detailed, I ended up with a confusing question. In the end I somehow managed to get away from the crazy questions via roundabout answers.
"Hmm, there was a lack of information there son." Su Yan said, with a sigh. "But I understand why. I'll explain it to them properly once they are older." She added, hugging Yang Xingjuan tighter.
"Or we could make Husband do it when he returns." Smiles suggested. "It wasn't fair of him to pass that off to our boy, right, big sister." She continued.
"True, but I can see why he would have done it. That is, if there was a good reason. And I can tell you, there was one. So I'm not too worried about it." Su Yan replied with an explanation. "Oh, Son, make sure there are more of those pills ready. I don't want to be waiting any longer than need be." She said as her tone shifted to a serious one, causing all of the women's eyes to shift towards me.
"Could you also make enough for me as well, dear nephew?" Yang Xue asked, adding her piece.
"I hope you realize just how much making one of those pills improves my mental cultivation… Asking me to make more is telling me to make sure someone else can have something I am currently denied." I sighed, trying to come up with an excuse to use that time for other things.
"Oh stop, you and I both know that your wives can't handle the burden that would be placed on them. Even I can tell it would be too much for them now. Had you not needed to break through recently, you could have gotten away with beginning now." Smiles said, being the odd one to speak up about it. "As it stands now I doubt any woman not an 8th rank would be able to withstand carrying your children. Even with that medicine. Even then an 8th rank might not be enough. Let your wives grow strong enough and once they do go wild." She continued, noting just how large of a difference there was between the current me, and the previous me. The difference was undeniably vast. "Even I can't see the limit of your strength." She said in a low exasperated voice.
"That's true…" I started saying, about to come up with another excuse.
"Don't try to make something else up son, I can tell what you really feel as if it were my own feelings. I know you want as many siblings as possible. And I plan on having as many as I can squeeze out of your father." Su Yan mentioned, stopping me from coming up with an excuse this time. "Just make the medication and then do whatever else it is you wanted to do after. It doesn't take long for that medication to be fully refined." She added, giving me a serious yet warm look.
"Very well, Mother. I'll make as much of it as I can. I'll refine it for a month straight. I should be able to make about 100k matching sets if I really buckle down and focus." I said, now actually thinking about how to do this in the most optimal way. "In truth I'm more worried about how I'm going to make that many lifesaving artifacts, that is no small number." I said, and then realized something… "Aunt Xue? Does my little cousin have a life saving artifact yet?" I asked, with a hand on my chin.
"No, not yet. I have a plan to keep them safe in my Small Universe if anything dangerous happens. I won't let anything bad happen to my baby. Not before I die." Yang Xue said, shaking her head and wearing a serious look upon her face.
