Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 215 Very easy

"I'll die in this boat, I'll definitely die in this damn boat!" cursed Persephone in despair as she knelt, praying to the gods to get her out of that infernal river. Anthony observed the shore, which was now closer. According to his calculations, they would only have to sail for about two more days to reach solid ground.

They had been on that river for a whole week, and he had taken it as a little vacation, but Persephone seemed to be on the verge of madness.

He looked at Persephone with a smile, noticing how her eyes were on the verge of tears. He was about to say something to calm her down, but before he could speak, she interrupted him with a shout. "Don't you dare speak, Anthony!" she exclaimed, pointing her finger at him. Anthony closed his mouth, nodding silently.

Persephone lay back in the boat, embracing her knees with her arms, sinking into silence.

Angela's POV

Angela's golden eyes narrowed slightly as she contemplated the imposing concrete wall in front of her. She raised her head and a beautiful bird perched on her shoulder, its graceful movements and melodious song filling the air. Angela listened to it in silence, allowing the bird's music to guide her.

The bird began to flap its wings to the right, indicating to Angela to follow that direction. She nodded in understanding and, with the bird as her guide, advanced through the intricate maze. The towering walls, rising up to twenty meters high, seemed to challenge her, but Angela trusted in the bird's direction.

After hours of following the bird's instructions, Angela finally reached the center of the maze. There she found a circular artifact, meticulously carved and glowing with a mysterious light. With a serene smile, Angela gently took the artifact in her hands, observing it with admiration. It was a perfect replica of the maze she was in, but in miniature form.

With expert fingers, Angela moved the walls of the artifact, noticing how they slid in the same direction she had followed in the real maze. With instant understanding, she kept the artifact with her, feeling satisfied to have found another treasure.

Following the same path she had taken to reach the center, Angela exited the maze. The bird on her shoulder renewed its song, and slowly, other animals gathered around her. Angela Benedetto smiled, feeling at peace with herself and the world around her.

The animals moved in harmony, as if guided by an invisible force, and Angela followed them with a serene smile on her lips. First, they came to a tree laden with crystal fruits, each one shining with iridescent hues in the sunlight. Angela picked some of the fruits to enjoy later, storing the rest in her ring as a precious treasure.

They continued their journey and arrived at a beautiful lagoon, where the crystal-clear waters reflected the sunlight dazzlingly. With grace and delicacy, Angela shed her robe, revealing pale, smooth skin that glowed with its own light. Her golden eyes sparkled, and her golden hair cascaded over her shoulders, giving her an angelic appearance.

Stepping into the waters, she bathed gracefully, while colorful fish frolicked around her. Some even carried small blue crystals, which Angela carefully picked up and stored in her ring.

After enjoying the refreshing bath, the animals led her to a wolf den. The alpha wolf, majestic and powerful at 7 meters tall, approached her with a gentle gaze, behaving like a docile puppy. He allowed Angela to enter his den, while the other wolves watched her. Soon, the wolf cubs joined them, small but full of vitality and curiosity.

Angela smiled at the adorable scene and sat in the center of the den. She took out some meats from her bag and offered them to the wolf cubs, who approached timidly to accept the gift.

The next morning, Angela emerged from the den amidst the cheerful singing of birds, whose trills guided her to a secluded spot in the forest. Her golden eyes landed on an ancient castle in ruins that stood majestic before her. As she approached, a huge serpent descended from the branches of a nearby tree, its head as large as a tractor wheel.

With a soft hiss, the serpent invited Angela to climb onto its back, and she accepted with confidence.

Guided by the serpent, Angela ascended to the highest part of the ruined castle. The wind whispered through the ruins as they advanced, and Angela contemplated the landscape from her elevated position. Finally, the serpent stopped at a specific spot within the castle. Angela observed with curiosity an altar adorned with a bright green stone, shining with magical light.

The serpent emitted another soft hiss, indicating to Angela to take the precious crystal.

With grace and delicacy, Angela descended from the serpent's back and approached the altar. With steady hands, she picked up the green stone and carefully stored it in her ring, thanking the majestic serpent for its help. Once again, she mounted the serpent, and together they left the ancient castle.

Cristal watched in disbelief as Angela seemed to navigate the forest's challenges with uncanny ease. The way animals guided her and helped her obtain valuable materials and artifacts contrasted with the deadly trials other students faced in the castle. To her, it seemed as if the forest were at her mercy, offering its secrets without any resistance.

"Am I the only one who thinks Angela has it way too easy?" commented Cristal, expressing her skepticism about Angela's apparent ease in advancing.

Athena, on the other hand, watched the scene with a more thoughtful expression. She remembered how Alexandra Benedetto, Angela's older sister, had the same ability as her. Both girls related to animals naturally, as if they shared a special bond with them.

"It can't be considered cheating, let's say it's like her innate ability," Athena responded with a shrug.

She watched as Angela easily obtained another crystal, a frown appearing on her face. "Should we remove the animals in the next event?" she thought to herself, but then shook her head, deciding against it.
