Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 466

Inside an ornate hall, Rouxi and Feifei curiously looked at the beautiful runes on Keith's hands, and then they looked at the ones they now had at the back of their own hands.

"Close your eyes." He told them, and they curiously glanced at him before complying. "Don't open them until I say so."

Both Feifei and Rouxi frowned, but as soon they heard his next words, understood what he was doing.

"Tell me where I am standing right now." They heard his voice in their ears, which made them feel like he was all over them, but they instinctively knew where exactly he was.

"Behind us," Feifei answered. "And you are several metres away."

"Correct." He smiled. "Now, find me. You can open your eyes."

As soon as they heard his words, they sensed him disappear from the room, and they both looked at each other before looking at the Rune at the back of their hands.

Even if they could not see him, they were aware of his general location, and both of them understood that it was all thanks to this Sacred Rune of Marriage that now bound them.

They slowly walked towards the third door that was at the back of the hall, which opened to the Royal Corridor, where their rooms were.

Without needing to check any room, they entered the one that belonged to Keith, and indeed, he was inside, sitting on his couch, waiting for them.

"So we can now sense each other's location?" Rouxi asked, smiling at him, and he nodded his head.

"As long as we are in the same world, yes." He nodded. "Or inside any secret realm that is linked to the main world."

"Awesome!" Feifei excitedly rushed over to him and then hugged his arm. "What else does it do?"

"We can convey our feelings to each other no matter where we are."

"Even if we are not in the same world?" Rouxi came to sit on his other side and inquired.

"Yes," He nodded. "It also lets us know if your spouse is in mortal danger or not. If we allow it, then can also feel each other's state of mind and health."

"And?"

"You will find the rest out yourself." He playfully tapped her head, which prompted her to pout at him. "But I can tell you that the Sacred Rune only takes root if you are sincere to each other, and in a girl's case, when she is not bound to someone else. Now you understand why we felt the way we did when we met each other? The inexplicable attraction?"

"Oh..."

"Yes," He chuckled as the realisation dawned on them. "This is why I told you that we were meant for each other." He nudged his nose with Feifei's cute little nose, and she giggled before she sipped a kiss from his lips.

"Does everyone in the family have them?"

"No." He shook his head.

"You are not going to marry them?" Rouxi curiously asked, and he smiled at her question before meeting her eyes.

"I will, but for some, the scared Rune I will share with them will be different than the one we share."

"In what sense?" Feifei raised her brow at him.

"Yingying and Iseul would never agree to become my wives." He smiled. "They want to serve me as my slaves and would never consider themselves as my equals."

They both frowned at his words and then understandably nodded their heads.

"What Sacred Rune will they have then?"

"A Sacred of Marriage where they will accept me as their husband under the Divine Laws without binding me to themselves."

"Concubines?"

"Yes," He nodded his head.

"What are you going to do with Roulan?" Rouxi frowned.

"She will be my wife." He chuckled. "Even if she doesn't say it, this is what she desires, and I am not going to be unfair to her. Besides, the Scared Rune of Marriage where one becomes a Mistress can only take root if the girl wholeheartedly submits herself to that role. Roulan has a deep-rooted pride in her bones. She would never be comfortable with being a Mistress."

"What about the Sacred Rune of Servitude?" Feifei suddenly asked, and Keith curiously looked at her.

"Where did you hear about it?"

"It was mentioned in the story that Minami read to us." She smiled.

"So, you were not training but reading stories?" He smiled at her, knowing well when this might have happened.

Last night, he had sent Feifei, Minami, Kiara, Alana, and the Carmilla Princesses inside Aerzar, where everyone else stayed with him at the Manor, busy with the wedding preparations and other stuff.

"We trained! But we had fun too." She laughed and he chuckled at her words.

"It's a Sacred Rune where one eternally submits to their Master. In the case of girls who are bound by the Eternal and Sacred Rune of Servitude, when their Master sleeps with them, the Divine Laws see him as their husband. But they would not be able to enjoy the perks that the Sacred Rune of Marriage gives," He informed them. "A key thing to keep in mind is that you can never trade the Slave who is bound to you by the Sacred Rune of Servitude, and in Heavens and beyond, the Shadows are bound to their Masters with this Rune."

"Why would the Divine Laws consider him their Husband?" Rouxi asked, just out of curiosity, and Keith smiled at her.

"Divine Vows and Sacred Runes are special. They can never take root unless both sides agree to them, and once taken, both sides are responsible for each other to varying degrees. Even a Master has to be responsible for his Slave who bears the Scared Rune of Servitude, and mistreating them could lead to future troubles."

"Future troubles?"

"There comes a point in time, where you have to answer for every action that you have ever committed, and ultimately, if you want to become a God, your Divinities don't just come from your Affinities and what you have worked for, but they are also influenced by your actions. No Good deed or an Evil deed ever goes uncounted. And if you lose favours of the Divine Laws, or the Divine Laws deem that certain Divinities that you seek don't fit you, then you can never form Divinities that originate from them."

"What if someone's too Good?" Feifei frowned.

"Genuinely Good?" He smiled when she nodded her head.

"Yes."

"A Genuinely Good person will go out of the way and try to save everyone, including the people who are beyond saving. He will interfere with the Law of Death and the Law of Judgement, and unknowingly, his actions will create ripples that will have detrimental effects in the future. It is also interfering with the cycle of Life and Death. A genuinely Good person would never be able to form Laws and Divinities that originate from Death, Judgement, Destiny and Fate." He told them, and they both attentively listened to his words. "However, as you will live, you will realise that people who are genuinely good and genuinely evil are too few in numbers. Some evil exists in all the good people, and some good exists in all the evil people, but certain actions, even if you are not genuinely Evil or Good, can lead to you losing or gaining the favours of certain Divine Laws, temporarily or permanently."

"What Divinities do you want to form?" Feifei curiously asked and raised her brow when he stood up and stretched his arms.

"Never ask someone what Divinities they want to form, and never tell anyone about the Divinities that you want to form."

"Why?" She was confused at his words, especially because she could sense a hint of seriousness from him as well as some playfulness.

"I won't answer that question." He met her eyes and straightforwardly refused her, which made her pout at him.

"Then tell me something else. Why do you have seven Sacred Runes of Marriage on you?" She raised the question. "Amelia, Rebecca, Kiara, Qingyue, Rouxi, and I. That's six. Who's the seventh?"

Rouxi, who had noticed it too, curiously looked at him, and he just smiled at her and kept looking Feifei in her eyes.

"Take a guess. I am sure you have already figured it out."

She frowned at his words but then nodded her head.

"It's Mother, isn't it?"

Rouxi's eyes widened at his words, and seeing him nod in admission, Feifei frowned.

"How does that work?"

Keith saw clear confusion on her face and raised his brow at her.

"She was married to your father, and she gave birth to you. How can she have the Sacred Rune of Marriage? Isn't it something that you can only have when you are meant for each other and when all Divine Laws approve of it?"

Rouxi looked at Feifei in surprise, and then she too frowned and looked at Keith.

"I used to think that she had to bring me to this world, which was why she was supposed to marry my father. And honestly, when I married her, it was what was on my mind and the Sacred Rune of Marriage was a gamble. However, it took root, and it took me quite some time to figure out why it happened." He smiled.

"Why?" They both frowned, but Keith only leaned near Feifei's ear and whispered the answer to her.

"What?!"

"Sshhhh!" He placed his finger on her lips and prevented her from asking any questions.

"Keep it to yourself for now. You will understand things later."

"Hey!" Rouxi complained, accusingly looking at him, and both he and Feifei laughed at her reaction.

"You can tell her first what I told you, but after a year." He said, and Feifei obediently nodded her head, grinning at her friend.

"Why would you not tell me now?" The Child of Destiny frowned.

"For fun," They both replied to her in unison, and Rouxi dumbly looked at them before she sighed and stood up.

"You are mean. I am going to join the rest of the girls in the main lounge."

"Hey! Are you not going to join us in the bed?" Feifei mischievously asked, and Rouxi threw her a glare.

"Behave." She told her before she exited the room and closed the door behind her.

Feifei laughed as she had sensed the shyness from Rouxi, but when she inadvertently glanced at Keith and saw the playfulness in his eyes, her heart skipped a beat.
