The Blood demon lord sat on his throne, hearing the matters of the tribe from the supreme minister of the tribe.

At this moment, another minister barged into the room.

"Lord Wang Ren! I have an urgent matter to report!" He yelled as he walked hurriedly.

The supreme minister, who was interrupted by his sudden intrusion, shot a glare at him.

However, the minister ignored it and continued to walk before stopping before the steps that led to the throne.

He knelt on the ground with one knee and spoke:

"Lord Wang Ren, I bring urgent news!"

The Blood Demon Lord, Xue Mo Wang Ren looked down at his kneeling figure and asked in his deep voice:

"Nume Shen, What is this matter that can give you the courage to barge into the throne room in this manner? I hope this matter is as urgent as you make it out to be." He narrowed his eyes in a threatening manner.

However, minister Nume Shen wasn't intimidated as he raised his head and looked right back at him with confident eyes.

He informed: "Lord Wang Ren, one of the men that left with my grandson, Nume Zian has returned just now and bears an unfortunate news."

His eyes saddened visibly as he continued: "Nume Zian and all his men have been killed except for the one that managed to escape."

"What??" The supreme minister's eyes widened in surprise.

Wang Ren looked at his sad face and questioned: "Is this the matter you called urgent?"

Nume Shen shook his head solemnly as he reported:

"The matter is about the treasure that the first Blood Demon possessed, the Demonic Blood Pearl!"

"What??" Wang Ren and the supreme minister both yelled in surprise.

"Is that really true?" The supreme minister asked.

Nume Shen nodded and informed:

"The cultivator that has just returned clearly mentions the appearance of this treasure. He said that Nume Zian was killed by a first-stage origin realm kid of the QingLong Sect."

"In his report, he said that after Nume Zian killed his friend, this first stage origin realm kid suddenly became a lot more powerful as a crimson necklace appeared around his neck and his eyes turned black as a dark mist covered his eyes."

"He then emitted an intense killing intent that even Nume Zian was rendered helpless due to it. Next, he shot blood crystal spheres from his index finger and killed him without even touching him."

"All the other men died with the same attack when they were escaping. Also, he murmured 'Kill!" Whenever he attacked."

"This crimson necklace that appeared around his neck is clearly the treasure that is mentioned in our legends that helped the first Blood Demon Lord to conquer the demonic path and bring the righteous path close to extinction before the Eternal Great Sovereign's disciple, The Righteous Sword Sovereign, defeated him."

Wang Ren nodded in agreement:

"The description indeed matches with the legends. If that is really the Demonic Blood Pearl, then we need to bring that origin realm kid to our tribe and ensure his safety!"

The supreme minister nodded in agreement.

Nume Shen, however, was confused as he asked: "But lord... Why do we need to care about the kid? We can just take the treasure away from him, right?"

At his question, Wang Ren shook his head and explained: "Looks like you don't know about the Demonic Blood Pearl that well, Minister Shen."

"The Demonic Blood Pearl is a treasure that chooses its own master and according to your information, he can already use the Blood Demon transformation. That means that the Blood Demon Pearl has already chosen him as its master."

"What?" Nume Shen yelled in surprise. He wanted to kill that kid to avenge his grandson, however, if what the Blood Demon Lord said is true then he won't be able to kill that kid.

In desperation, he asked: "But what if we kill him and take away the Demonic Blood Pearl? Once its master is dead, won't it choose a new master? We can have it choose a master from our tribe."

The Blood Demon Lord shook his head, rejecting his idea as he explained:

"We cannot do that. Once the Demonic Blood Pearl chooses its master, It doesn't choose a new master for another 3000 years. Moreover, once its master dies, it disappears out of existence, only appearing after the 3000 years have passed and it is ready to choose another master."

Nume Shen's eyes widened as he asked in disbelief: "Then that means we cannot kill that kid and we even have to protect him??"

Wang Ren nodded, responding with his heavy voice: "Yes, that is correct. If we want to make use of the Demonic Blood Pearl then we have to bring that boy to our side."

"Since he has revealed his treasure in front of his fellow sect disciples, I'm sure he must be hiding somewhere to escape the righteous sects. If the righteous sects recognize that it is the Demonic Blood Pearl with him, there is no way they would leave him alive."

"We will find him first and offer him our protection. He will have no choice but to live here in our tribe if he wants to remain alive. In that time I will take him as my disciple and train him to become the next Blood Demon Lord."

"With the Blood Demon Pearl, I'm sure he'll become powerful enough to bring our tribe's rise again like in the time of the First Blood Demon Lord. And this time, there would be no Righteous Sword Sovereign or Eternal Great Sovereign to stop him!"

He had an excited smile on his face just thinking about the future.

He turned to the Supreme minister and ordered:

"Xing Dao, I entrust the mission to find and bring that kid with the Demonic Blood Pearl to you. I want this to be the top priority mission!"

"Yes, my lord." The Supreme minister, Xing Dao, bowed respectfully: "I'll get to it right away."

He then glanced at Nume Shen and requested: "Minister Shen, I need you to bring the man who witnessed this whole incident to my study chambers. I'll need him to describe this kid's appearance so that we can create a sketch to identify him and find him."

Nume Shen nodded obediently and replied: "As you order, Supreme Minister."

Though he wanted to avenge his grandson, he knew the importance of this treasure for his tribe and his loyalty to the tribe came first.

If it meant the prosperity of the Xue Mo Tribe, he could easily let go of his hatred for Qin Feng and forgive him.
