Chapter 230 - 229: Why Entangle in Confusion

Chapter 230: Chapter 229: Why Entangle in Confusion

Military Star, prison cell.

Zhao Yiling was glaring at Wang Hao with fury, but Wang Hao held an expression of complete unfamiliarity.

“Spill it, are you or are you not impersonating Le Xiaoxuan!?” Zhao Yiling huffed indignantly.

Wang Hao looked utterly innocent, “Miss, you must be mistaken, that person is her, not me.”

Saying this, Wang Hao even pulled Le Xuan over, signaling that he had nothing to do with it.

Le Xuan rolled her eyes; this jerk made a Potion in front of so many people and even dropped his pants, now even a fool would know who the talented Le Xiaoxuan really was.

But for some reason, Wang Hao stubbornly refused to admit it.

Ling Xiao and a few other guys understood Wang Hao’s predicament all too well; if he married this mannish woman Zhao Yiling, the days to follow would certainly be Wang Hao’s darkest times.

At least until Wang Hao’s combat power completely surpassed Zhao Yiling’s, the idea of going out and having a good time was absolutely unthinkable.

“Hmph, let me tell you, even if it wasn’t you, I have decided to marry you anyway,” Zhao Yiling seized Wang Hao by the collar, seething.

“Marry!?”

The people around watched Zhao Yiling in stupefied silence—how fierce was this woman! She actually wanted to marry a man!

“Hey, girlie, can’t you just leave it be, can’t we all leave with some pleasant memories!? Why hang onto this so stubbornly!” Wang Hao broke free from Zhao Yiling’s grip, reverting to his ruffian demeanor.

It was at this moment, a chilly voice came from outside the door, “Leave with pleasant memories? What on earth did you do!?”

Everyone turned to look, seeing a youth with a swelled head enter their field of vision, his eyes gleaming with a coldness that felt terrifying.

“What we did is none of your business.” Zhao Yiling glanced at the swelled-headed young man but had to stifle a laugh.

“Fuck, is this some new hybrid you guys from the Yao Tian Federation researched?” Wang Hao was startled and turned to ask Zhao Yiling.

Zhao Yiling couldn’t help but laugh out loud, “Haha, don’t talk nonsense, this isn’t a product of our Yao Tian Federation’s research, but one of your own making.”

“Me!?” Wang Hao pointed at himself, curious.

Zhao Yiling nodded, “That’s Song Jie.”

Wang Hao suddenly understood, then patted his chest, feigning a terrified look, “So, he was the one who got beaten up; gave me quite the scare.”

A fury burned within Song Jie. Zhao Yiling, that bitch, was actually humiliating him openly with an outsider.

“Bring it on, beat them up!” Song Jie commanded coldly.

“Yes!” A squad of soldiers rushed into the cell.

“Who dares!” Zhao Yiling’s face turned ice cold as she stepped forward, shielding Wang Hao behind her.

The soldiers promptly halted, turning to look back at Song Jie.

“Zhao Yiling, you can’t protect him today.” A mad grin curled the corner of Song Jie’s mouth, “Just moments ago, your grandfather was dismissed by those above, and now the entirety of Military Star is under my father’s command.”

As soon as these words landed, Ling Xiao and the others immediately became alert.

Even though Zhao Kun had captured them, there were no hard feelings, and given Zhao Yiling’s connections, they had been treated quite well.

But if Song Jie’s father took command of Military Star, they knew too well that the days ahead would not be easy.

“Impossible!” Zhao Yiling’s brows knitted tightly; her grandfather was the Marshal with the most seniority in the Yao Tian Federation. Who would dare dismiss him?

“Hmph, your grandfather was too conservative, actually thinking of extorting a sum from the interstellar federation with these guys, so the higher-ups thought he lacked ambition and removed him from his position, letting my old man take his place,” Song Jie said, very pleased with himself.

Ling Xiao and the others’ hearts skipped a beat. It seemed the upper echelons of the Yao Tian Federation had no intention of letting them return—could it be that they would be imprisoned on Prison Star like Qiu Lei!?

At that thought, they immediately panicked, as none of them wanted to spend the prime of their lives in such a place.

“Psh!” Wang Hao curled his lip, “Even if your old man has control of Military Star, you think you can take me on? Who do you think you are?”

With that, he waved his hand, and with a clang, a black missile half a meter tall crashed to the ground.

“Holy shit, a Star Sky Missile!!”

Everyone present retreated in fright, with cold sweat breaking out on their backs. This was something capable of killing a Martial Emperor—if it accidentally detonated, they knew all too well what would happen.

“How does he have a Star Sky Missile on him, what are you guys good for…” Song Jie turned pale with fear. Were these soldiers idiots? Capturing people and not even knowing to confiscate their weapons.

The soldiers, however, gave Song Jie a look of contempt. Didn’t this young master see that Wang Hao conjured the Star Sky Missile out of thin air? Is he one of the new human class!?

Besides, if it weren’t known that Wang Hao and the others were new humans, why would Marshal Zhao Kun have them detained on Military Star instead of Prison Star?

That was to prevent these youths from having any dangerous items in their Dimension Space, causing trouble on Prison Star with Qiu Lei, so they were detained on Military Star instead.

Zhao Yiling said with a cold face, “Song Jie, even if my grandfather no longer commands Military Star, if you dare to touch them, I swear I’ll make you spit out teeth.”

Song Jie’s forehead bulged with veins in anger, but there was nothing he could do. Zhao Kun’s authority on Military Star was incredibly high, and his own father had only just assumed office and couldn’t compare.

What infuriated him was that Zhao Yiling was actually protecting Wang Hao and the others so staunchly.

At that moment, Zhao Kun walked in from outside and said softly, “Yiling, let’s go home.”

“Grandfather, this…” Zhao Yiling looked at Zhao Kun with surprise. Wasn’t she supposed to stay with Wang Hao? Why was she being asked to leave now!?

If she left just like that, wouldn’t Wang Hao be beaten to death by Song Jie!

“Let’s talk at home!” Zhao Kun said, as he took Zhao Yiling’s hand and turned to leave.

Once the decision was made not to release Wang Hao and others, he had decided to let Wang Hao suffer a bit first. That way, when Wang Hao entered the Zhao family, he would be more compliant, as being too slippery was not good either.

Seeing this, Song Jie laughed smugly, “Haha… indeed, the old man knows what’s good for him. Zhao Yiling, you and your grandfather…” Ah…

Before he could finish speaking, Zhao Kun waved his hand, and Song Jie was sent flying, slamming hard into the wall.

“If your dad won’t discipline you, then this old man will have to teach you a lesson,” Zhao Kun snorted coldly. “If you dare to be disrespectful in front of me again, I’ll slap you to death.”

Song Jie spat out a mouthful of blood, nodding frantically in fear. He had forgotten that Zhao Kun was still a Marshal, not someone he could afford to insult.

Seeing Song Jie behaving, Zhao Kun left with a reluctant Zhao Yiling in tow.

“What do we do now!?” Ling Xiao came over and asked Wang Hao in a low voice.

“Now we can only hope that the Teleportation Tower is built quickly,” Wang Hao replied in a low voice.

As he spoke, Wang Hao unobtrusively handed several Teleportation Bracelets to Ling Xiao.

Ling Xiao’s eyes lit up, and he quickly stowed away the Teleportation Bracelets, then passed them to Qian Wanyang, Chen Yao, Le Xuan, and Xia Weiwei.

Le Xuan asked curiously, “Where did you get these from!?”

Wang Hao shrugged his shoulders but didn’t answer. These Teleportation Bracelets were exchanged from the system, not expensive—100 Villain Points each, and they could totally receive signals sent out from the Teleportation Tower on Civilian Star…
