This Is Definitely Not Dragon Ball!!

Chapter 189: Chaos(Part 1)

Somewhere on Earth, a ripple appeared in the fabric of space, and soon, an octopus-shaped spacecraft materialized.

But this was no ordinary spaceship—it was a time machine!

With a sharp hiss, the door of the time machine opened, and a young man leapt out.

The youth had striking purple hair and carried a long sword on his back.

It was none other than Trunks from the future!

Exuding a warrior's aura, Trunks surveyed his surroundings, then checked the time and map on his watch.

"This should be the place. In a short while, Frieza and his father will descend, and Goku will return from space a few hours later."

After storing the time machine in a Capsule Corp capsule, Trunks chose a concealed spot to hide.

Before setting off, his mother had repeatedly warned him about the dangers of time travel. Apart from delivering the heart medicine to Goku and informing him about the androids, he mustn't alter any other events in history. Otherwise, the resulting butterfly effect could trigger a time storm that might turn their world unrecognizable!

Although restricted in his actions, Trunks couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and excitement.

In this timeline, his mother was still young, and his father hadn't yet died.

Even though his mother had mentioned that his father was once a villain who almost destroyed Earth, Trunks still wanted to see his father in person—to witness him alive with his own eyes.

However, a few hours later—

"Why?!

"Frieza and his father haven't appeared! Goku hasn't appeared! The Z Fighters and my mother, who were supposed to gather here, are also nowhere to be seen!"

"Why is this happening?!"

Slamming a fist into the ground, Trunks was consumed by confusion.

The expected timeline had already passed, yet none of the key players had shown up. What on Earth was going on?!

"No, I need to investigate."

Filled with unease, Trunks unleashed his energy and took to the skies.

After flying a certain distance, he soon found himself hovering over a city.

The sight of the city below left even Trunks stunned.

It was a highly advanced, futuristic metropolis. Skyscrapers pierced the heavens, and strange flying vehicles weaved through the air.

In addition, Trunks noticed people exercising in parks and along the streets. For instance, an elderly man in a park performed a slow set of martial arts, then casually smashed a nearby boulder into powder with a single palm strike!

Although such strength was trivial to Trunks, it was astonishing for an ordinary human.

What's more, Trunks could sense several strong energy signatures within the city.

No, not just this city—the entire planet!

"What on Earth is going on here…"

Shocked, Trunks murmured to himself.

This should have been Earth from 20 years ago, yet its technological and individual strength far surpassed what Trunks had learned about.

Could his time travel have caused some unforeseen changes?

No, that couldn't be it. He hadn't done anything since arriving here!

As Trunks struggled to make sense of the situation, a powerful energy signature entered his perception. A figure enveloped in an energy aura was rapidly approaching from the distance.

It was a stunning woman clad in a fiery red battle dress. Her energy was overwhelming, far surpassing that of the ordinary people below. Clearly, she had detected Trunks' presence.

Moving at incredible speed, the woman arrived before Trunks in the blink of an eye.

"Young man, which region's martial artist are you? State your name."

The woman, a Red Silk Girl serving Yuujin, spoke as she observed Trunks.

She had sensed a powerful energy in her patrol area and had come to investigate.

"Apologies, miss, but I cannot reveal my name," Trunks replied apologetically, recalling his mother's warnings.

"And who might you be?"

In his mother's descriptions, Earth 20 years ago had only Goku, his father Vegeta, and warriors like Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, and a young Gohan. There had been no mention of such a powerful, beautiful battle maiden.

"I am Red Silk GirlNo. 258, tasked with guarding the 23rd district under the orders of Lord Yuujin. You don't recognize me?"

Her brow furrowed, and suspicion glinted in her eyes.

This young man didn't even know the Red Silk Girls who served Lord Yuujin. Was he really from Earth?

Trunks, equally confused, was at a loss.

Wasn't the guardian of Earth 20 years ago supposed to be the Namekian Kami, Piccolo's other half? He'd never heard of such a powerful subordinate, let alone someone more formidable than Kami himself!

"Kid, I'll ask again—state your name. Why has a martial artist of your strength suddenly appeared in my district?"

With a hint of wariness in her gaze, Red Silk GirlNo. 258 spoke coldly.

"I'm sorry, miss, but I truly cannot tell you my name," Trunks replied with a shake of his head, his face filled with apology.

Though utterly perplexed, Trunks knew he mustn't reveal his identity in this world, lest it cause even greater unforeseen complications.

"Hmph! If you won't say it, I'll find out myself!"

With a snort, Red Silk GirlNo. 258 activated the scanner on her forehead. It locked onto Trunks and began a rapid search.

Earth's database contained records of all significant martial artists. While the information wasn't public, as a Red Silk Girl serving Lord Yuujin, she had access to it.

But to her surprise, there was nothing. The database held no information on this young man!

"Kid, who are you? Why doesn't the database have any records of you?!"

Having labeled Trunks a potentially dangerous individual, Red Silk GirlNo. 258 demanded sharply.

"Apologies."

Knowing he couldn't stay any longer, Trunks apologized and bolted away.

"Hmph! Trying to escape from a Red Silk Girl? Foolish!"

Refusing to let him go, Red Silk GirlNo. 258 let out a cold snort, her aura flaring as she pursued him.

To be continued…

Guys, I apologise for not being able to update yesterday; I was at my homie's place.
