The Witcher: Ascending Beyond Marvel

Chapter 3: Motherf—

Wes Irwin began his magical journey at Hogwarts, a mysterious and solemn school of magic, with great anticipation.

At the same time, he was curious about the mysterious panel that had appeared before him.

After careful exploration, he discovered that the panel didn't seem to have any extraordinary functions—except for one. It allowed him to travel freely between two worlds and accurately displayed his own attributes.

As time passed, Wes grew into adulthood. To his surprise, his magical power continued to increase.

In the magical world of Harry Potter, a wizard's magic usually stabilizes after reaching adulthood. Growth slows, eventually reaching a relatively fixed state.

Yet he knew deep down that he was no exception to this rule.

If his magical power was still growing, then this anomaly must be a unique ability granted to him by the panel.

It was a powerful ability with infinite potential—one that could continue to grow without limit.

Realizing this, Wes was ecstatic.

This meant that his strength had no upper limit. There were endless possibilities waiting for him to explore.

With this thought, he dedicated himself to mastering magic.

Eventually, he graduated from Hogwarts with top honors, securing the undisputed first place in his class.

Many wizards would have eagerly accepted the prestigious job offers he received. Yet, to everyone's surprise, he turned them all down.

The reason?

His panel had changed. A new entry appeared in the World section: "Labyrinth Rice."

Without hesitation, Wes decided to explore this new world.

It was a paradise for adventurers—a vast maze filled with magical beasts, rare medicinal herbs, and coveted treasures.

Opportunities and dangers coexisted in this mysterious realm, yet Wes thrived.

Using his knowledge of potions and alchemy from Hogwarts, he skillfully crafted magical elixirs and enchanted artifacts.

His expertise not only honed his craft but also became his primary source of income.

Today, his panel displayed the following:

Host: Wes Irwin

Worlds: Marvel, Harry Potter, Labyrinth Rice

Occupation: Wizard / Pharmacist / Alchemist

Level: 3

A Level 3 wizard was equivalent to a Hogwarts professor—perhaps even a highly respected headmaster.

Wes had reached the peak of this stage.

Thanks to the vast resources of the three worlds he inhabited, his magical strength had increased rapidly. He had fully absorbed the knowledge he gained in seven years at Hogwarts.

Yet, despite his progress, he realized something crucial.

If he wanted to advance to Level 4, his current foundation wasn't enough.

The knowledge he had mastered so far could not support his breakthrough into the next realm of magic.

"I have to return to Hogwarts," Wes muttered to himself. "The thousands of books in the library contain profound magical knowledge. If I study them carefully, I might obtain the power I need to reach Level 4."

He sighed. "I should have worked harder back then."

But there was one problem.

His reputation.

Over the years, Wes had come into conflict with the Ministry of Magic, dealing with dark wizards and engaging in activities that violated several magical laws.

Dumbledore, known for being well-informed, was surely aware of his actions.

"Will he even approve my request?" Wes wondered.

Despite his doubts, he had no choice but to try.

First, he needed to replenish his supplies.

"Zandi, have you packed everything?" Wes called out.

"All ready, Master!" Zandi responded loudly, lifting a brown suitcase that seemed larger than himself.

"Good. Let's head to Diagon Alley," Wes said decisively.

"Yes!" Zandi replied.

Without hesitation, the small creature opened the suitcase and stepped inside.

Strangely, the suitcase remained unchanged in appearance, as if nothing had been placed inside.

This was Wes's masterpiece—his own take on Newt Scamander's magical suitcase.

It was enhanced with powerful enchantments, including an Undetectable Extension Charm and a Constant Temperature Spell. Rare and precious materials were used in its construction.

The outer surface was made of dragon skin, and even the smallest button was worth a fortune.

Although it looked ordinary on the outside, its interior was astonishingly vast.

Inside, there were three fully equipped laboratories and five spacious storage rooms.

It was no exaggeration to say that nearly all of Wes's wealth was stored in that suitcase.

With a firm grip on the case, Wes vanished from sight.

That night, the mysterious Hogwarts Potion Shop at Arthur Avenue 7 also disappeared, as if it had never existed.

-------

Elsewhere…

"Chief, the potion shop has vanished," Phil Cordon reported urgently.

A brief response came through the radio. "I know. Return to base."

"Yes, sir."

Phil Cordon cast one last glance at Arthur Avenue 6 and 8, then quickly drove away.

The car sped through the city, heading straight for the Trusty Headquarters Building.

As soon as he arrived, Phil Cordon rushed toward the director's office without stopping to catch his breath.

He straightened his slightly messy suit, took a deep breath, and knocked gently.

Knock. Knock.

"Come in," a deep voice responded.

Phil Cordon pushed open the door.

The room was pitch dark.

"Chief, I'll be honest… I can't see a thing if you don't turn on the lights," he muttered.

Instantly, the lights flickered on.

Sitting in the chair was a bald man with a commanding presence.

A sharp gaze locked onto Phil Cordon from behind the desk.

"Phil, I hope you bring me good news," the man said.

Nick Fury.

Phil shrugged helplessly. "Unfortunately, it's bad news. The owner of the potion shop is indeed a magician."

Nick Fury's expression remained unreadable. "I see."

Phil hesitated before adding, "Based on my observations, he seems to be focused on acquiring gold. For now, I don't think he poses a major threat."

Fury's eyes narrowed.

"That's your judgment?" he asked coldly.

"Phil, think carefully—what is our duty?"

"To maintain world security and protect the lives of ordinary people," Phil answered immediately.

"Exactly. And yet, you're telling me that an unknown magician, operating outside our control, is not a threat?"

"Can you guarantee that he'll stay 'harmless' forever?"

"If we weren't so short-staffed right now, I'd send you back to training to sharpen your judgment!"

Phil lowered his head. "Apologies, sir."

"List him as an XXX-level observation target. No matter the cost, I want his full identity and every detail of his activities."

"Yes, sir!"

Phil Cordon turned and left.

Nick Fury remained seated, staring out at the dangerous and chaotic city below.

"Terrorists, rogue wizards, and aliens dropping in unannounced… And now, a mysterious magician has emerged," he muttered.

Clenching his fist against the glass, he gritted his teeth.

"One of them is bound to show up and declare that they want to rule the world."

He exhaled sharply.

"Motherf—"
