The Winner Of Life

Chapter 66: Showing off without power

"This wine is good, my Lord." Hakurou said as he took the first sip.

I poured a cup for myself and took a sip. I wasn't an alcoholic guy, so I didn't have much knowledge about them.

But even so, it tasted completely different from what I expected.

Last time at the farewell party, I drank some, so I thought it would be something like that.

But it was the opposite. It was smooth and also had a very good scent. 'I think it's plum wine.'

The waiter started to explain about the wine. It was quite exaggerated, but then again, the wine was really good.

He brought another two types of wine. We tasted all three of them. And I must say, wine would be my second favourite drink after tea.

"Bring me all the stock. I will buy them all." I said excitedly.

The waiter looked at me and speechlessly. I understood the reason for his hesitation, so I paid in advance.

The waiter quickly collected the purple Profound card and left the table. A minute later, the manager himself came out to say hi.

"Hello young master. I am the shop manager. Thank you for coming to our humble restaurant." He said with a smile on his fat face.

I looked at him and nodded. He then gave a worried smile and said "young master, we can't sell all the wine as this would make a bad impression on other customers."

"Okay, keep the amount you must have and sell the rest." I replied not to make things difficult for him.

The manager sighed in relief. He thanked us again and said "these few bottles are on the house." I nodded, and he left the table.

Hakurou maintained his smile and continued to drink his wine.

After the manager left, we continued to drink and chat about our world visit. And left the restaurant once our order was ready.

We walked around the capital and looked around to see if anything picked our interest. Hakurou liked some sword skill manuals.

I told him that there was a lot of powerful art in our home, but his reply was "power without knowing how to use it is useless. The basics are always more important."

So I bought him all the manuals he liked. Besides, he was my sword trainer. It's because of him that my progress with Fujitora increased so fast.

I also went to the medicine shop and bought any herbs that I thought would be useful later.

Our spending of money actually spreads around the capital without us knowing. Few already started to target us and followed our movement.

Hakurou and I noticed it from the moment they started to follow us, and it didn't take long to understand the reason behind it.

We could only sighed. From the moment we came here we tried to avoid all the trouble. But it seems trouble likes us.

"Hakurou, make a warning out of this group." I ordered and started to check the vendor who has a few butterfly hair clips.

Hakurou nodded and vanished from there. The vendor was surprised by his disappearance but quickly got over it as this is a Cultivation world, and it's normal.

I picked two blue butterfly clips. One for Qingyue and another for Di. Both of them would love it.

Hakurou came back after a minute. I paid for the clip, and we continued our tour.

We reached the Royal Palace in the afternoon. This place was decorated marvellously. But what's the point? Showing off without power is nothing but stupidity.

The Blue wind empire's emperor weren't strong from the beginning. If it wasn't the help from the Heavenly sword Vila, they would have already become some other empire's property.

After looking at the royal palace from outside, we left the place. I didn't have any plan to see the king or cure him. Yun che can do that and take his daughter's hand for marriage.

After getting out of the capital city, I again took out my bike and drove towards my next destination, Westland of Death.

I wanted to meet the Azure Dragon God, Long Yin.

*vroom* *vroooom*

My bike sped up towards my destination. And like previously, anyone who heard the sound of the engine and noticed my bike would look at it questioningly.
