The Villain Only Wants To Live a Buddhist Life

Chapter 49

Chapter 49: DArk Diemon Embarks on an Irreversible Path

DArk and Senior Pandora’s interactions were actually quite rare.

Mostly, they only exchanged a few words during the check-in process for entering or exiting the library.

But to avoid adding “+1 Bliss,” DArk always hurried away after checking in.

However, his frequent visits to the library made him familiar with her over time.

Even though this wasn’t what he wanted…

Heaving himself away from Senior Pandora’s pressure, he stood up casually, smoothing out the wrinkles in his clothes.

DArk turned around and said, “Good day, Senior.”

Pandora blinked, and the heart-shaped dragon scales under her eyes reflected a splendid color.

She crossed her arms and raised her head, asking, “Are you here to buy Cat Grass?”

DArk originally didn’t want to buy any, but then he thought, keeping a pot of Cat Grass in his dormitory seemed like a good idea?

Cats indeed were a great way to soothe the soul.

They could help relieve emotions and reduce stress.

Especially cats that don’t require cleaning!

If used properly, lowering “Wrath” might be even better than those legendary magical artifacts.

“I’ll buy one pot!”

But first, he needed to buy a pot of Worm Tree.

DArk wouldn’t mix up the order.

If buying Cat Grass led to not having enough credits to buy Worm Tree, wouldn’t that be putting the cart before the horse?

So he thought for a moment and said, “I have this idea, but not now.”

Pandora then offered enthusiastically, “Is there something troubling you? If it’s about credits, I can offer interest-free loans, repayable within a month. How does that sound?”

What kind of game are you playing?

DArk’s face darkened, and he quickly replied, “I have other matters to attend to. I won’t disturb you, Senior.”

As he quietly stepped forward, Pandora, who had finally caught this chance, wouldn’t let him go easily.

When DArk tried to step out, Pandora naturally blocked his path and smiled with half-closed eyes, “Are you meeting someone? Could it be that little girl who often sits behind you?”

-She was referring to Emma.

DArk didn’t take the opportunity to run off but remained serious, “Senior, I’m still young.”

Pandora paused, curious, “Aren’t boys your age usually annoyed by being called young?”

DArk continued sternly, “This is a fact.”

Pandora chuckled lightly, “Then I can only look forward to you growing up.”

Seeing her moist, pink lips parting, DArk felt his resolve wavering.

He quickly said, “We’ll talk about it later.”

Then he forced himself to leave, running off in a hurry!

“Talk about it later?”

“Really not cute…”

After leaving “Kitty Plant Shop,” DArk immediately entered the neighboring “Cuckoo Bird Nursery.”

DArk abandoned the thought of figuring out what “Cuckoo Bird” was and directly entered.

The Cuckoo Bird Nursery’s main product was a tree stump bonsai called “Chirping Tree,” which emitted sounds when sunlight hit it, making it a perfect “natural alarm clock” for dormitories.

DArk swept past various chirping trees but suddenly perked up, spotting a Worm Tree planted in a pot in a corner!

Among the three options, the Worm Tree was relatively cheaper and DArk’s top choice.

Compared to “Mana Brain Bottle” and “Advanced Thought Bottle,” the Worm Tree had obvious drawbacks.

One was its shelf life being heavily dependent on the tree’s growth condition.

If not well cared for, branches could develop holes, causing the substances inside the worm branches to leak out, sometimes even absorbed by the branches themselves.

Another was the limited storage capacity.

Each mature worm branch could only store 1 to 3 Mana Droppers, depending on its thickness and length.

However, it had significant advantages too.

First, each worm branch was compartmentalized, allowing different emotions to be stored separately.

Second, it wasn’t as expensive!

After inquiring about the quality, age, and other details of the Worm Tree, DArk finally asked the key question: “How many credits does it cost?”

The owner of Cuckoo Bird Nursery was a plump auntie who sized DArk up and kindly said, “This isn’t something a first-year student can afford. The price alone is 800 credits, and maintaining it requires continuous purchase of corresponding potions, each season’s potion is different, very troublesome!”

DArk pondered, “How much do the potions cost?”

The plump auntie paused, then smiled, “Fall potion is 30 credits per bottle, usable for a month. Winter potion is 50 credits per bottle, also usable for a month.”

DArk carefully considered and found it acceptable.

It felt like a payment plan: initial payment of 800 credits, monthly installments.

While “Mana Brain Bottle” and “Advanced Thought Bottle” required a lump sum payment.

From the price of this Worm Tree, “Mana Brain Bottle” and “Advanced Thought Bottle” were likely beyond his means!

DArk didn’t dwell on it further.

He recorded down the points the plump auntie mentioned about cultivating the Worm Tree and then bought the pot and a bottle of fall potion.

The Worm Tree was about eighty centimeters tall, with eight outward-growing branches resembling caterpillars, and its material resembled rubber sticks.

After packaging it in a black bag, DArk poked his head out to check if Senior Pandora had left, confirming she had gone before sneaking in.

-He was really determined to buy the Cat Grass!

“Remaining credits: 740, more than expected.”

DArk estimated he could buy quite a bit more and began browsing around the Kitty Plant Shop.

There were indeed many varieties of Cat Grass, all looking obedient.

Each one was irresistible.

But as he browsed, DArk suddenly noticed something was wrong.

In front of him appeared a snake!

It was an Eyelash Viper buried in the soil!

When DArk saw it, the snake also opened its eyes sharply and started swaying its slender body toward DArk’s gaze.

He was shocked!

“Don’t be afraid.”

The shop attendant at Kitty Plant Shop was a young lady in her early twenties. She wore her hair tied back with a ribbon, an apron, and gloves, looking quite simple.

Seeing DArk had been browsing for a while, she came over patiently explaining, “This is a new variety of Cat Grass, Snake Grass. Don’t worry, it won’t bite. It’s essentially a plant.”

DArk wasn’t scared; he was just surprised, “Since there’s Snake Grass, shouldn’t there be…”

“Of course.” The attendant brushed aside her curly bangs with a light laugh, “We just received a batch with many animal-themed Cat Grasses. Want to take a look inside?”
