The Supreme Overlord (Multicross)

Chapter 40: 39 The Witch of the Void

"The Witch of the Void, Natsuki Minamiya!!"

At the border within the Kingdom of Aldegia, a vampire from the Warlord's Empire let out a blood-curdling scream, his eyes bloodshot as he bared his sharp fangs. His body was tightly bound by chains, and no matter how much he tried to muster the remaining magical power within him, he could not move the chains even a fraction.

These chains, known as the Laeding, were not a product of this era but were crafted by the ancient devas and further enhanced with the technology.'

This divine artifact was discovered by Itogami Island in an ancient devas relic, and ultimately, due to the trust in Natsuki Minamiya, it was handed over to her for use.

The Laeding possess an extremely corrosive effect on magical power, making it almost impossible to escape once bound.

The vampire, his eyes wide with rage, glared at the cold, doll-like girl before him and roared with anger, "…Have you, Witch, become a lapdog of the Aldegia?"

"…Are you declaring war on our empire'?"

The petite girl, dressed in a Gothic-style long dress, with a figure as delicate and cold as a doll, looked at the vampire before her with a hint of boredom. She sneered and said,

"…Don't equate yourself with the Warlord's Empire, vampire. That will only make you appear weaker."

"For someone like you, who seeks to destroy peace and incite war, even the First Primogenitor, the Lost Warlord, would execute you personally if he knew!"

"…As for me aiding the Kingdom of Aldegia, for terrorists like you, if I see you at the airport, I'll kill you on the spot. If I see you in the restroom, I'll drown you!"

"This has nothing to do with the Kingdom of Aldegia; it's merely a result of your identity!"

Hearing the naked killing intent in Natsuki Minamiya's voice, the vampire panicked and shouted, "…Wait a moment, are you going to kill me?"

"…This isn't in line with the laws of the Kingdom of Aldegia! I deserve a fair trial!"

The greatest strength of vampires lies in their familiars, and without them, a vampire's physical attributes are among the weakest in the demon race.

This vampire's familiar had already been reduced to ashes by Natsuki Minamiya.

Even though a familiar is just a magical construct and cannot truly be killed, even if destroyed, it will eventually regenerate over time.

But even if a Primogenitor's familiar is destroyed, it cannot regenerate quickly, let alone a descendant vampire's.

"If we were on Itogami Island, I might have imprisoned you in the Prison Barrier."

"…But here in Europe, in the Kingdom of Aldegia, I don't have to follow those rules."

"Remember, I am — a witch!"

With a voice as cold as ice, Natsuki Minamiya sentenced the vampire to death before her.

She suddenly extended her slender hand and, with a gesture as if gripping the air, reached towards the vampire's neck.

In an instant, a hand exuding the ultimate aura of death, ablaze with black flames, emerged from the void and grasped the vampire's throat.

"What… what kind of spell is this? My… my life force…"

The vampire's face filled with terror as his body began to age rapidly. What was once youthful skin wrinkled, all moisture evaporating.

The vampire's teeth turned yellow, his hair became brittle like dried grass, and as his muscles and nerves deteriorated with age, the vampire before her turned into a withered corpse in just a blink of an eye.

The vampire's lifeless body fell to the ground without turning to ash. His skeletal face remained filled with an expression of fear.

Vampires can maintain their familiars because of the negative life force they possess.

Due to this negative life force, theoretically, vampires do not age or die unless killed.

But before the aging power of Saigou, not only vampires, even ancient rocks and other substances would experience rapid aging in an instant.

"Whew…"

Natsuki Minamiya let out a soft breath.

Even after witnessing such scenes countless times, she still felt a twinge of fear at this power.

However, the ability to age was undeniably useful; before this power, no living being dared claim invincibility.

Over the past three years in Europe, Natsuki Minamiya had used this ability to kill countless enemies.

Though she harbored a kind heart, Natsuki Minamiya was never one to show mercy. As a witch, she could decisively end a life without hesitation or doubt.

Having dealt with the vampire before her, Natsuki Minamiya reached into the void with her delicate hand, producing a lace-trimmed parasol.

She placed the parasol over her slender shoulder and activated her spatial manipulation spell to leave the scene.

During these three years, apart from the occasional return to university classes, Natsuki Minamiya had spent most of her time in Europe.

She hunted down demons guilty of heinous crimes, executing them with ruthless efficiency, never sparing any mercy.

It was this decisiveness and strength that earned her the title of the Witch of the Void.

The demon race across Europe trembled at the mere mention of her name, dreading the appearance of the witch who excelled in spatial manipulation.

Through this brutal slaughter, she had mastered all her abilities and developed her own unique combat techniques.

Now, apart from the Primogenitors, Natsuki Minamiya was confident she could face any formidable foe in the world.

If one were to consider her as a human, Natsuki Minamiya would be among the strongest humans.

Her spatial manipulation spell had an incredibly broad range.

The extent of her spatial manipulation was limited only by the amount of magical power she could wield.

With Saigou providing her with infinite magical power, every instance of her spatial manipulation could reach its maximum distance.

Within just a few seconds, the Witch of the Void had left the borders of the Kingdom of Aldegia and arrived in a luxurious hotel room in the capital.

Saigou sat by the window, leisurely reading a book.

Sensing the spell's magic, he put down the book and greeted her with a faint smile, "... You're back, Natsuki-chan."

Upon seeing Saigou, Natsuki Minamiya's cold demeanor cracked, and she demanded angrily, "... You said three years ago you would tell me how to complete the contract."

"... I believed you and came to Europe to fight various demons."

"But you've kept delaying for three years. What excuse do you have today, or were you just stringing me along?"

Natsuki Minamiya was furious, feeling as though she had been deceived by this demon for three whole years.

And she had trusted him for all that time.
