The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

Chapter 807 - 801: Time Dragon

Chapter 807: Chapter 801: Time Dragon

“What have you done?”

Lilith Hoyle looked at David Jones with shock in her eyes.

An Eighth Order Quasi-God is the strongest being beneath a Ninth Order Immortal Semi-Immortal!

Such a powerhouse is hard to find in the entirety of the Endless Deep Sea, with only a few existing that can rival them.

To say the least, not even ordinary Level VIII Emperor Beasts have the right to speak in front of the Semi-Immortals, they can only kneel in subservience under the absolute power or face certain death.

Yet, to see the Sea-saving Turtle change its attitude the moment it laid eyes on David Jones, even bending the knee to a Class VII Epic Body Cultivator, undoubtedly shattered Lilith Hoyle’s understanding of the reverence due to Quasi-divine beasts.

She knew, using the Pure Phoenix, she could defeat an Eighth Order Quasi-God, but she could never make a Quasi-God admit subservience from the heart.

“Could it be that David Jones is a reincarnation of some Immortal existence with a close relationship to the West Sea Dragon God?” Lilith’s eyes flashed with continuous fascination.

“I don’t know either, it just knelt as soon as I came over!”

Witnessing such a turn of events, David Jones was also a bit stunned and subconsciously stepped back.

Something is not right, very not right!

He hadn’t even said a word, and the other party kneeled in such an unconventional manner.

This speed of face-changing was invincible!

What exactly was the other party plotting with such a grand gesture?

“It is my honor to receive you, esteemed guest. Please enter, comfortable seats and fragrant tea have already been prepared for you in the Dragon Palace.”

As the Sea-saving Turtle’s voice faded, the tightly closed door of the West Sea Dragon Palace slowly opened, and a dazzling rainbow crystal bridge extended from the sea current passage to the feet of David Jones.

“Eek?” (Could there be an ambush inside?)

Rainbow expressed her concern.

“It’s unlikely, it had many chances to attack before, there’s no need to go through this charade now.”

After the initial shock, David Jones’s curiosity surged.

What does waiting for tens of thousands of years mean?

Could it be that tens of thousands of years ago, someone in the West Sea Dragon Palace foresaw his arrival today?

But that didn’t make sense. David Jones hadn’t forgotten the Sea-saving Turtle’s initial attitude when he first entered the palace.

“If we enter the Dragon Palace, I can’t guarantee your protection, but the likelihood of there being a trap inside is very low,” Lilith Hoyle advised telepathically.

Very low does not mean nonexistent.

David Jones looked down at Daphne on his chest.

“Meow.” (I sense no danger.)

It shook its head slightly.

Since the teacher had said so, David Jones chose to trust his intuition as well as Daphne’s destiny, and with triple assurance, he took a step onto the rainbow crystal bridge.

The interior of the West Sea Dragon Palace was intricately laid out, with palaces connected by bridges made of coral, shells, and Pet Resources such as Arcane Crystals, forming a series of stunning buildings.

Led by the Sea-saving Turtle, David Jones arrived at the deepest and most luxurious palace in the Dragon Palace.

At that moment, the opulent table was already set with an array of dainty dishes full of color, fragrance, and flavor, emitting a tempting aroma that made the Gluttonous Beast drool with anticipation.

“I am merely the unskilled Turtle Minister of the West Sea Dragon Palace. I regret any disrespect shown to the esteemed guest during our first meeting, please understand,” the Sea-saving Turtle said.

With that, the Sea-saving Turtle proactively raised a giant cup and punished itself with a drink.

“There’s no acquaintance without a fight, Mr. Turtle, you are too kind.”

As David Jones finished speaking, he glanced at the cup before him which was about the size of a swimming pool and fell silent for a moment.

What a massive cup, he thought. He could easily swim in it if he jumped inside, but how was he going to pick it up later?

Lilith, his teacher, seemed quite accustomed to it as she extended a fingertip and gently touched it. In the blink of an eye, the cup swiftly shrank to the size of an egg, and then she leisurely took a sip.

“What a fine drink!” her eyes brightened as she exclaimed.

The Sea-saving Turtle did not understand the relationship between David Jones and Lilith, but in an effort to alleviate the previous awkwardness, it generously offered.

“There’s not much else in the Dragon Palace, but we do have plenty of Blood Lotus Intoxication. If Your Excellency likes it, you may take some with you.”

“Thank you very much,” Lilith accepted without any hesitation.

She didn’t have David’s talent for body cultivation, and the Blood Lotus Intoxication happened to make up for some of her physical shortcomings.

[Blood Lotus Intoxication]: A Level VIII Water Pet Resource, crafted from the blood marrow lotus deep within the Dragon Palace, combined with various mesonas, and fermented for a hundred years with the nurturing of the Dragon Force of an Immortal.

The drink was blood-red in color and could significantly enhance the consumer’s physical strength when consumed. Regular use conferred the Dragon Force, and it had an excellent nourishing effect on Trainers with Arcane Stars, greatly reducing the difficulty for a Trainer to ignite the fifth Star Fire.

Seeing through the effects of the Blood Lotus Intoxication with the Illusion-Piercing Eye, David Jones was secretly astonished.

Indeed, the Four Seas Dragon Palace was incredibly wealthy and luxuriously extravagant; even the drinks for guests were extraordinary Level VIII legendary resources.

Following Lilith’s lead, David picked up the cup and took a sip, instantly feeling as if his throat had been scorched by a blade.

The next instant, the blood in his body began to transform and strengthen rapidly, the Tyrant Dragon Dossier operated automatically, and a tearing pain continuously emanated from within him.

“Thud thud thud!”

As his heart rate gradually quickened, strands of strange blood-colored Dragon Force fused into his organs at the speed of flashes of lightning, promoting his cultivation of the Tyrant Dragon Dossier from the medium phase of Class VII to the later phase.

“What an astonishing medicinal effect!”

Unable to help himself, he looked up at Lilith and the Sea-saving Turtle.

Unlike them, who maintained a calm demeanor, he felt nearly unable to control the blood coursing through his body after just a sip of the Blood Lotus Intoxication.

This made it clear that his previous victory over Master Cloud Divot was insignificant compared to the vast disparity between him and true Legends and Semi-Immortals.

However, his time was coming soon. If he successfully absorbed this pool of Blood Lotus Intoxication and Flameless Dark Dragon blood, he would likely be able to cultivate the Tyrant Dragon Dossier to Class VI and forge a physique comparable to a Level VIII Emperor Dragon, earning him the title of an Eighth Order Deity.

As David was digesting the Blood Lotus Intoxication, the Sea-saving Turtle was silently observing him.

“Did you come for the Candle Dragon Palace?” it asked softly, after a while, seeing David opening his eyes slowly.

“Yes, Mr. Turtle, could you tell me where the Candle Dragon Palace is, and about the prophecy as well?” asked David.

At the same time, Lilith curiously glanced at the Sea-saving Turtle.

In her heart, she, too, wanted to understand the nature of David’s former identity.

After all, any being who could make an Eighth Order Quasi-God willingly submit was no ordinary figure.

A grave and determined look appeared on the Sea-saving Turtle’s face.

“Of course, I have been waiting here in the Dragon Palace for tens of thousands of years, solely to fulfill the ancient duty entrusted to me by Lord Candle Dragon, to hand over everything left by the Dragon Palace to you,” it declared.

At the Sea-saving Turtle’s words, both David and Lilith were visibly shaken.

The Candle Dragon?

All of the Dragon Palace’s possessions?

The former was not difficult to comprehend; if David hadn’t guessed wrong, Lord Candle Dragon mentioned by the Sea-saving Turtle must be one of the most rare and dominant Dragon Species, the Time Dragon, and it was also the evolution target of Loona in the future!

As for the latter, David could not understand, but it did not stop his heart from racing.

If he could inherit the entire wealth of the Dragon Palace, he could possibly become the richest in the entirety of the Flowery Kingdom, or even among the six poles of the world!
