Chapter 130: [130] Sunflowers Bloom at Night

Chapter 130: Sunflowers Bloom at Night

"Is there something you need this time...? Never mind, let me finish writing first. Don't disturb me during this time."

After bringing the two inside, Natsuno casually asked Suzuna about her intentions before diving back into writing.

"President, once Akiyama-sensei enters this state, it's best not to disturb her. Let's wait for a bit," Suzuna whispered to Shunsuke.

Then, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, she headed straight to the kitchen to prepare Natsuno's favorite lunch.

Even though she was no longer Natsuno's editor, Suzuna was used to doing this. She had even played S.M. games with Natsuno to stimulate her creative inspiration — cooking a meal was nothing unusual in comparison.

"Suzuna, you've never cooked for me, not even once," Shunsuke grumbled as he followed her into the kitchen, clearly dissatisfied.

Even though Suzuna's cooking skills couldn't compare to his, and he could whip up a meal in minutes using Star Platinum, it still bothered Shunsuke. To him, it was a matter of sincerity!

Suzuna casually spoke while tying her apron after taking off her coat, "Then I'll come over tonight and cook for you."

Shunsuke still looked displeased. "So you'd only do it if I mentioned it? If I hadn't said anything, you wouldn't have done it? Is that what sincerity looks like? Can't you be a bit more proactive?"

"Right now, it's like I'm forcing you to reluctantly cook for me."

"?"

Suzuna turned her head with a puzzled expression. "Do you even know what you're talking about?"

Shunsuke waved dismissively. "Don't look at me, just keep going."

"???"

Even more confused, Suzuna shrugged it off and obediently continued, taking ingredients from the fridge and starting to wash and prep vegetables.

Standing at the kitchen door, Shunsuke watched her figure as she leaned forward slightly, her curves gracefully outlined.

Today, Suzuna was dressed as usual in her work attire—a thin white blouse, a black pencil skirt, and light purple stockings.

Perhaps feeling relaxed in a familiar environment, she'd casually undone the top buttons of her blouse, leaving the fabric loose and revealing a tantalizing glimpse of her snow-white cleavage.

Though partially covered by the apron, the alluring sight flickered in and out of view.

The apron, originally meant for Natsuno, was laughably inadequate in front of Suzuna's impressive G-cup figure.

The hem barely covered her short skirt, and even the smallest turn caused the fabric to flutter, offering teasing glimpses of her smooth, voluptuous thighs.

For a while, Shunsuke admired the scene purely from an aesthetic perspective, but soon his restraint gave way.

Unable to suppress the heat rising within him, he took a bold step forward and wrapped his arms tightly around Suzuna from behind, pressing his body firmly against hers. His head nestled into her ash-gray hair as warmth radiated through the layers of clothing between them.

Suzuna's body instantly went soft under Shunsuke's sudden embrace, nearly making her lose balance. At 30 years old, she was in the prime of a woman's beauty. Even if her mind hadn't fully caught up, her body had already instinctively responded.

A faint blush crept across her cheeks. "P-President, I'm still cooking..."

"Oh, come on," Shunsuke muttered dramatically, "So that earlier suggestion wasn't about calming me down—it was about comforting yourself, wasn't it? I'm heartbroken."

Shunsuke dodged the topic entirely, his emotions growing even more intense.

The fresh title "President" was something he hadn't experienced before. The thought of it immediately reminded him of Sunflowers Bloom at Night, making him feel like a supercharged Kira Yoshikage.

"I didn't mean that, I'm not!" Suzuna hurriedly denied. "Wait until we get back—"

Her body trembled slightly as Shunsuke's hand reached in from the side. The heat in her body rose uncontrollably, spreading a delicate pink hue beneath her fair skin.

"Akiyama-sensei is still outside..."

Suzuna propped herself up against the countertop with one hand, the other firmly covering her mouth, struggling to resist her body's overly honest responses.

"Don't worry, she's too absorbed in writing to notice anything," Shunsuke reassured her.

Suzuna glanced toward the kitchen entrance, biting her lip lightly.

After hesitating, she finally removed the hand covering her mouth and placed both hands firmly on the counter. Her long legs gradually parted, while the hem of her skirt, damp and clinging, released a faint warmth into the air.

"Just... hurry up and finish. We need to be done at least half an hour before mealtime."

"I feel like you're looking down on me, Suzuna," Shunsuke said indignantly, delivering a sudden slap to Suzuna's firm, curved hip with a loud smack.

The sharp sound echoed, causing him to pause for two seconds before continuing, "If that's really what you think, then put in some effort like you just did—be that dependable big-sister editor."

...

"Why are the vegetables burnt?" At the dining table, Natsuno frowned as she looked at the awkwardly presented dishes Suzuna placed down. "You're no longer my editor, so now you don't even know how to cook?"

With a familiar snip-snip of scissors, Natsuno instinctively prepared to cut slits into Suzuna's blouse and skirt as punishment. However, noticing Shunsuke sitting nearby, she hesitated and reluctantly put the scissors away, refraining from showing her usual sadistic side.

Suzuna quietly let out a sigh of relief. While she had once been fine playing such games with Natsuno, things were different now—she was worried that if her clothes were cut, something Natsuno absolutely shouldn't see might be revealed.

"Ugh, what is this strange taste?"

After taking a bite of the unburnt portion, Natsuno couldn't help but spit it out. Even though she didn't want to waste food made by Suzuna, this was simply inedible.

"S-Sorry! I'll remake it right away!" Suzuna stammered, hastily picking up the plate and heading back to the kitchen.

"...What's with that masochist woman today?" Natsuno frowned as she watched Suzuna's retreating figure. "Her gait has changed—did she get injured?"

With the keen perception of a martial arts master, Natsuno sensed that something was off.

Shunsuke shuddered slightly and quickly offered Natsuno a bowl of miso soup. "Akiyama-sensei, please have some soup first."

"Oh, thanks."

Natsuno took the bowl, gently blew on it, and was about to take a sip when she noticed Shunsuke sitting stiffly at the table without touching the food.

"Why aren't you eating? Is there something you're embarrassed about? No need for that, even if you are my rival for the Literary Prize."

"Ha, hahaha... how should I put it—it's just an accident, purely an accident," Shunsuke said with a forced laugh.

"What do you mean?"

"Ahem, I mean I have a high-end banquet to attend tonight, so I'm saving my appetite for that feast."

"Really? What a dull excuse. You're a bestselling novelist—can't you just buy whatever you want to eat?" Natsuno gave him a slightly disdainful look.

Nonetheless, she took a sip of the miso soup, then closed her eyes to savor it. "Not bad. Even if the dish was a mess, this soup Suzuna made today is quite fresh and flavorful."

"Haha, as long as you enjoy it." Shunsuke turned his face away awkwardly and stood up from the table. "Akiyama-sensei, mind if I check out some books in your study?"

"Don't mess with my manuscripts," Natsuno said without looking back, helping herself to another bowl of soup.
