The sole heir to a ruined world

Ch 14

 Chapter 14

**Legion Commander Core**

The essence that makes up the Legion Commander.

When used, you can class up to become a Legion Commander.

(You cannot use it if you don’t meet the conditions.)
+ Can be used on ‘Asgard’ residents if special conditions are met.

**Broken Legion Commander Armor Fragment x7**

If you collect 20 fragments, you can craft the Legion Commander’s armor.

**Blood-soaked Greatsword**

A weapon temporarily used by Asteria, the 3rd Legion Commander of Baal.

[If your mental strength is lacking, you may be consumed by the sword.]

**Hank-yul** (the protagonist) was inspecting the Legion Commander’s spoils, touching his chin.

He couldn’t use the Legion Commander Core or Armor Fragments yet.

He had Black Magic Stones, but he planned to turn those into mana.

So, the only usable item right now was the greatsword.

“Will it eat me up if my mental strength is lacking?” Hank-yul muttered, tapping the tip of his foot in thought.

After some time, he grabbed the greatsword.

He was confident that it wouldn’t consume him, even if he held it.

In ‘Asgard’, all negative statuses disappear and injuries heal.

Any abnormal mental state can be considered a negative status, so his assumption was correct.

He grabbed the sword, and nothing happened.

There was no feeling of being taken over, and his mind wasn’t clouded.

However, there was one difference.

“Kill! Kill them all!”

As soon as he grabbed the sword, a voice began shouting at him.

It wasn’t a woman’s voice.

It sounded more sinister.

The voice kept shouting “kill” directly into his head.

“It’s just like the sound of mosquitoes buzzing around,”he thought.

“A little annoying, but nothing serious.”

A warrior next to him grabbed the greatsword.

The warrior seemed to be communicating with the sword in some strange way, though Hank-yul couldn’t understand it.

He noticed that the warrior was able to wield a sword much bigger than themselves easily.

It seemed that warriors could handle greatswords without issues.

Hank-yul didn’t feel the need to use the greatsword himself, seeing that there was no real problem with letting the warriors use it.

He turned his attention to the Magic Stones, choosing to convert all but the Black Magic Stones into mana.

**Mana: 135,522**

He was impressed at how quickly his mana increased.

The amount of mana he had could expand his territory by 135 pyeong (approximately 447 square meters).

He could add 1.5 times more land to his current area.

“That’s quite impressive,” he thought.

“Let’s get started.”

He used 100,000 mana to expand his territory by 100 pyeong (approximately 330 square meters).

The ground shook as the expansion took place, and when he looked around, it was obvious that the area had gotten larger.

It felt like the perfect place to build a proper house instead of lying on the meadow.

“I could even invite others here,” he was amused.

He wondered if it was possible to bring people in and out of this space.

It would be great to experiment and try, but he couldn’t send warriors outside.

Despite the limitations, Hank-yul didn’t think too much about it.

He was confident that someday the residents would be able to leave, just like Thor had.

Hank-yul set the fragments and the Legion Commander Core next to a stump and looked at the Black Magic Stone in his hand.

“Such a waste to just turn it into mana…”

The Black Magic Stone was incredibly valuable.

It was one of only two known in the world, and its energy capacity was astronomical.

Using it carelessly didn’t make sense.

“I’ll leave it for now,” he decided.

He wasn’t in urgent need of money or mana at the moment.

The new crops were still growing, though not as fast as the apple trees, which had already borne fruit.

“I guess it’s not that important right now,” he muttered.

Hank-yul reached into the air and focused his energy.

Suddenly, a flash of light appeared, and a small lightning bolt struck his hand.

“It’s nothing like Thor’s,” he noted.

Thor, the god of thunder, could unleash countless lightning bolts with a mere gesture.

But for Hank-yul, it was still weak and small.

He had been told by Thor that to control lightning properly, he needed practice.

He couldn’t figure out exactly how to improve, but he kept trying.

As he was considering whether to call upon more lightning, an alert rang out:

**Invasion has begun.**

“Ah, the invasion…” Hank-yul sighed, looking toward the source of the rift.

The rift had appeared farther away than before, likely because of the land expansion.

“Maybe I should try something.”

He decided to use lightning to test its effectiveness in combat.

**Magic Stones: 35,142**

The mana consumption was intense, but Hank-yul ignored it and prepared to attack the goblins emerging from the rift.

**Infected Goblin Scout**

**Infected Elite Goblin Scout**

The goblins were now more heavily armed than before.

Hank-yul noticed one particularly well-armored goblin leading the others.

The goblins obeyed their leader and moved in unison.

His warriors, especially one with a greatsword, seemed ready to attack.

Hank-yul raised his hand and summoned another lightning bolt.

**Zap!**

The lightning hit the Elite Goblin Scout, causing it to scream in pain.

It didn’t die instantly, but its strength was greatly reduced.

“This works better than expected,” Hank-yul thought as he summoned another lightning bolt and continued his attack.

With the help of the warriors and his lightning, they managed to defeat the **Infected Elite Goblin Scout**.

The warriors beside him readied themselves with determination.

In particular, the warrior holding the greatsword looked as though he was ready to charge at the goblins at any moment.

Seeing this, Hank-yul tightened his grip on the lightning in his hand.

“Let’s go!”

Toing!

At his command, the warriors let out fierce battle cries and charged at the scout goblins.

Following behind them, Hank yul hurled a bolt of lightning at an elite scout goblin.

Crackle!
Screech!

The elite scout goblin screamed as it was struck by the lightning.

Though it didn’t die immediately, its combat power had significantly decreased.

“Not bad. I’m pretty satisfied with this.”

Summoning more lightning, Hank-yul continued his attacks.

Thanks to the combination of the two warriors and his lightning, they managed to defeat all the goblins with ease.

You have defeated a Corrupted Elite Scout Goblin.

After killing the goblins, Hank-yul converted all the mana stones they dropped into mana.

He handed the longsword dropped by the elite goblin to one of the warriors.

Toing! Toing!

The warrior who received the longsword was overjoyed, jumping up and down in excitement.

Even without facial features, it felt like the warrior’s emotions were visible.

“Oh, right. By now, the potions I sold should be completely gone. And the supplies I ordered should have been delivered too.”

While organizing the spoils, Hank-yul remembered the tasks he had to handle in the real world and decided to return immediately.

Beep! Click!

As soon as he returned to reality, he found himself face-to-face with a woman who had just unlocked the door and entered.

Hank-yul froze in place.

“Hank-yul, you…”

The woman, equally surprised and confused, stared at him with a shocked expression.
