Chapter 2874 Separation of the Soul

As soon as they sat down in lotus positions on the outskirts of the rock they had entered, the four made their crowns of darkness show, bringing out the black liquid inside their bodies.

The surrounding environment became hostile, with space itself distorting under the influence of four powerful high-level Supremes initiating a method capable of

destroying a large planet. Luckily, they were on a high level world, or at that instant, cracks capable of reaching the planet's core would be starting to open up.

Naturally, the sensation he was feeling right now was not good at all!

As he did this, he was gradually using spiritual forms similar to tweezers to cut out small fragments and then move them between his soul and a pocket of energy that was identical to him in terms of spiritual fluctuation.

Forfex's method, which he deemed correct, was very simple. Anyone interested in keeping their life after separating from an absorbable weapon would have to create a 'copy' of themselves and take the item from their soul to this disconnected copy of their soul.

There were other details about Forfex's technique, such as keeping the soul stable and healing its wounds after removing the absorbable artifact. But this was a secondary part of the process that Minos and his women were engaging in at the moment.

Minos acted cautiously, aware that he didn't have much time, but that a mistake there could greatly jeopardize his future.

As he worked intently, he had Forfex's theories in his subconscious.

According to Forfex, it wasn't possible to keep all your power after removing an absorbable weapon. You would necessarily weaken your Spiritual base, lose part of your abilities and have to deal with the weakening related to the soul wound.

The soul wound should eventually regenerate. But the other losses were irrecoverable!

The good thing was that it shouldn't be difficult to maintain some of the characteristics acquired over time with that absorbable weapon. For example, if Minos were to remove the Nautilus' Compass, he would no longer be able to use the omniscient powers of that artifact to the same extent as they could with the artifact. But even without it, he could imitate some of the artifact's abilities if he separated himself from the item, given how long he had been connected to this essence and the understanding behind its functionality.

'My cultivation will drop a little and my abilities over life and death will decrease in intensity by over 50%. But I'll be free of the Devils' reach!" he thought to himself, already halfway through separating himself completely from the crown Qhava had given him decades ago.

'But that's not bad. I'll be able to add a new absorbable artifact to my head after today! One of the potentials of Forfex's study into separating absorbable weapons from living beings was precisely to keep parts of the abilities of an Absolute grade artifact and then be able to absorb a new, better one with better abilities!

Now, amid the last part of separating the four humans from their black crowns, they could fully understand how this would help three of them enter the Upper Realm. Minos went ahead of his wives, using his two hands to tear Qhava's crown from his head, finally detaching himself completely from that infernal essence.

Minos kept his appearance intact, but when his wives did the same, the three of them changed a lot. They lost some of the malice in their eyes and their appearances became more beautiful and attractive than they already were. Their hair shone in lighter tones, while their shadows stopped vibrating menacingly.

Minos and his wives entered the last phase of this spiritual separation, taking care to protect their essences as they jointly sent the four crowns back to Hell.

Three of them merged, being essences related to Qhava, while Abby's crown remained alone, glowing larger and more menacing than the result of the merger of the others. Minos and his wives opened their eyes, each of them pale and with sweat dripping down their bodies. Together, they manipulated their infernal powers, opening a spatial distortion to Hell.

"Let's make them believe we've returned!" Minos said as he deployed the rest of his powers to give the final push to their plan.

The two essences flew back into Hell, not long afterwards disappearing from the visual range of the four humans.

Minos took care to close the spatial distortion, finalizing the matter he had to resolve there today.

"Time to go," he said in a tired tone, already standing up as he gestured for the three to prepare for departure.

They were weakened, not having had their cultivations lowered in level, but severely weakened, in addition to the spiritual fatigue and injury to their souls. But even so, they stood up, gathering around him to continue their journey.

With each of them ready, they set off towards the surface, fleeing from this place towards the place where they could reach their spaceship again!

Now it was time for the truth about whether they would be able to shake off the Devils coming at them!
