Chapter 547: Take Me To Church, I’ll Worship Like A Dog
[SICARIO]
"... Trey won't kill Hawi because his Perihan stole his life to the servitude of the wild girl, and he can't kill my princess because that will put him and I at odds for all eternity and we both love each other too much to stay enemies.
"So, which will it be for you?" Amina suddenly said and the room went silent. Every word that had come from her lips was like a reminder of what life should have been and what life was ruled by.
At the end of the day, they were all linked to Hawi and they all didn't want to see Haw go berserk.
It was not even an option right now because it had taken them years and years just to accept the fact that she had been the psycho, and even to this day some were still horrified by what they had seen her do or even heard that he had done.
"Why should we trust you? You're a Russel," Rio said and Amina just laughed softly like that was the one thing she had expected from them. Then again, she couldn't be blamed for that always.
"We never choose the family we are born into, but we always hope to choose the family we bloom into. I know you guys hate me so I won't try to present my defense. All I want is my princess back;
"... and if she comes back and doesn't want me, trust me, none of you will ever see me again," Amina said sincerely and Hudhayfah looked at her worriedly. He knew what rejection could do and even he knew that Mbali was a wild one.
Mbali was unpredictable as fuck, even worse than Hawi which meant that there was a really a high chance that they wouldn't see Amina again. This wasn't the kind of thing they had imagined, but desperate times were caring for desperate measures this time.
They could work through this and make things right for their family, right?
"Sacrificial lamb, huh? Anyway, who am I to complain, it's not like we have nothing to lose anyway," Adolf said dismissively before Elodie smacked his head to bring back to the reality that they were living in.
"Watch it, you crazy beta," Elodie warned and Adolf whined before his eyes met Hudhayfah's and he knew he had fucked up. It wasn't intentional, clearly but damn was it going to be awkward, right?
"Hey man, I'm sorry," Adolf said sincerely and Hudhayfah just smiled at him.
"It's alright. We have a lot on our plate and new mates were not exactly what we expected to deal with today other than the queen's mad demands. You don't have to worry about it.
"Besides, they will come back with Hawi and Mbali. That is all that matters," Hudhayfah stated reassuringly.
This was not the time for them to be dwelling on the thorns of impossible things because, at the end of the day, they had to embrace their truth and faith that no matter how hard things got, this family would always have, regardless of the chaos that would ensue afterward.
"In case of anything—" Malika began and Amina interrupted her.
"We won't reach out. You aren't supposed to be traced to us no matter what happens. No one will question two wild Russels roaming the realms like they can't be killed, but everyone will question the beacon between the Russels and a team that is meant to eliminate every Russel alive," Amina said, instantly shutting Malika up.
The truth was not going to be easy to absorb and they were slowly understanding that this day had easily given them the most activity that they ever had in the three hundred lonely years they had spent together missing a part of their own.
"Be careful then," Hudhayfah said and Amina just nodded.
"I'll let my brother now and then we can leave," Amina said before she walked out, only for Hudhayfah to stop her.
"No… I'll… I'll be the one to tell him. No one knows how long it will take for the both of you to get to Hawi and Mbali. And if I have to wait another three hundred years, then at least this time, I want him to know I'll be waiting," Hudhayfah said.

Amina's eyes softened.
For years she had seen the healer in action and how hard Hudhayfah had gotten.
He had been known as the healer, not because he was just the warlock who fixed things, but because he was the one man with a temper that could fuck lives up and fix them at the same time.
She had never thought in her life that she would hear the man talk like that, let alone about her brother. This was an improvement and for a moment, Amina wondered if Mbali would have thought the same for her.
Maybe she was striking a long bargain, but no matter how hard things had gotten, she had to have some hope right?
"Oh, I see. Well, in that case, we can leave at dawn tomorrow. Hawi and my princess won't be going anywhere for the night anyway if the queen is who I suspect anyway. I'll be in her room if you need me," Amina said as she walked out, leaving the knights there.
"They won't take a hundred years, Hudhayfah. It won't be that long," Malika reassured and the healer just stared sadly at the door. He had been here with Trey barely a day and now the man was going to have to leave too.
A part of Hudhayfah wanted to scream at the universe for forcing them into shit like this and honestly, it is scary to some extent. He wanted to stay beside Trey and never leave. He wanted to be there with his mate and hold onto him no matter how long it took.
He didn't care that his life would probably be in danger because he was a newly mated warlock and thighs just had to be a little unhinged for them too.
"You can't be that sure. We don't even know what the queen is planning with them if they set foot out of Sicario. That woman is spiteful and might just find a way to imprison them forever, which is not a price I'm willing to pay for my happiness, Malika.
"I waited for him for twelve hundred years. I stayed hoping and now that I finally got him, he has to leave again and I can't even be assured that he will be back in one piece… if not dead. It's just so hard being on the sidelines this time," Hudhayfah admitted as he sat back down in his seat.
The Savasci knights were watching hopefully because they understood him.
They knew if their positions were switched, they would have been in his position and state of mind. Hudhayfah had a strong mind and if he was the one who had been reduced to this then a lot of them would have been so stressed out.
This was not what they wanted for this happiness and yet the moon goddess had made it her mission to mess them up.
"I am sure of that, Hudhayfah. The queen may not have her memories right now, but if she saw Hawi and Mbali there, if the rogues are really our friends, then it's just a matter of time before everything goes back to what it should have been in the first place…"
