The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 191: Chapter 191

Ali stood opposite the two Supervisors, his hands buried in the deep pockets of his Sith uniform, exuding an air of casual indifference. His gaze flickered across the grey stone walls of the chamber, noting the faint glowing runes inscribed upon them.

Then, without warning—

RUMBLE.

The entire room trembled, and Ali instinctively adjusted his stance as he felt the chamber ascending at high speed. It was an odd sensation-there was no visible motion, but his body could feel the acceleration.

He narrowed his eyes. "A lift?" he muttered to himself.

Just as he was adjusting to the rapid ascent, something else caught his attention.

A faint green glow flickered at the corner of his vision.

Ali's eyes snapped toward Lorien, her hand raised high, glowing with an intense emerald radiance.

Then—

BO000000OM!

A violent shockwave erupted from her palm, crashing into the walls of the chamber with immense force. The entire room shuddered violently, coming to an abrupt halt.

Ali's muscles tensed. His sharp black eyes locked onto Lorien, their intensity darkening.

The elf slowly lowered her hand, her long golden hair flowing from the residual energy of the spell. Her emerald eyes were serious-no longer playful, no longer amused.

"We must talk, Ali."

Her voice carried weight, cutting through the silence that followed the explosion.

Ali exhaled sharply through his nose, his expression remaining neutral.

Slowly, he pulled his hands from his pockets. Beneath his uniform, dark veins pulsed ominously, creeping up his arms like writhing shadows.

"Talk about what?"

Lorien didn't hesitate. "We have a proposal for you."

Ali's eyebrow lifted. "We?"

"My superiors," Lorien clarified, stepping forward slightly. "You met one of them at the auction."

Ali's mind immediately flashed to the Lion-headed Supervisor.

"So, this is political."

Lorien nodded. "My superiors have come to a conclusion-the guilds have become too powerful."

Ali didn't speak, but his gaze sharpened.

"You think the guilds in the Slum are strong?" Lorien continued, stepping closer. "On the higher levels, they hold absolute power. They control the economy, the dungeons, the factions, and most importantly-the strongest players."

Ali tilted his head slightly, listening intently.

"Those who choose to remain independent... they are hunted. Forced into submission. Either they bend the knee or they are eliminated."

Lorien's words carried weight, but Ali had already known something like this was happening. It was the natural order-those in power do not share it.

Lorien stopped right in front of him. "Say it.", Ali told her.

Lorien's emerald eyes gleamed. "Form a GUILD."

A silence fell between them.

"A guild for independent players. A faction for those who do not belong to any god. Gather them under your wing... make them strong enough to stand against the guilds."

Ali slowly turned his head toward the ceiling, taking in everything she was saying.

'So that's their play...'

He didn't reply immediately. Instead, his mind ran through the hundreds of possible scenarios.

Then—

"The guilds have GODS backing them."

His voice was calm but sharp. "Who the fuck will I have?"

Lorien didn't hesitate. "Us."

Ali's gaze flicked back down, his black eyes searching hers.

"We have far more power and authority than the gods in Paradise."

Ali scoffed internally. 'Do you now?'

"You also have yourselves," Lorien continued, ignoring his skepticism. "Among the independent players, there are those who are strong enough to fend off entire guilds alone. If they band together-"

Ali cut her off, raising a single finger in her face.

"They're solo for a reason, Lorien." His tone was dismissive. "Either they want all the rewards for themselves, or they're complete pieces of shit that no one wants to work with."

His words carried a brutal truth, one that even Lorien couldn't deny.

Before she could respond, the crystal-skinned woman, Kaya, finally spoke.

"There are teams of independent players who fight together." Her voice was smooth but cold. "You would be able to convince them to form a guild with other teams, creating a true faction."

Ali turned toward her, amused, "Oh? You think l'd make a great leader, huh?"

Kaya's expression remained blank. "You are strong. And unlike the others, you are not afraid."

Ali nodded slowly, his smirk widening slightly.

"Alright, then. What about the higher levels?"

Lorien answered instantly. "We already have independent players at higher levels willing to break from the guilds to join us."

Ali chuckled. "Then why not have them start it?"

Lorien's expression didn't change. "Because they would be killed before they even began."

She stepped closer, her voice quieter. "It must be someone on the lower levels— someone who causes a wave that ripples upward. Once that happens, the ones above will act."

Ali stared at her for a moment, then sighed.

The more he thought about it, the more questions arose.

'A guild with no god. Who would take the Origin? The Supervisors? Was this their attempt to gain power? To harvest Origin for themselves?'

"Alright, then. Most important question."

Lorien and Kaya both looked at him.

Ali smirked. "What are you offering me that makes this worth my time?"

The two women exchanged glances.

Ali's smirk widened. "You didn't think that far, huh?"

Lorien sighed. "What do you want?"

Kaya added, "Remember, we are Supervisors. We maintain order. Do not ask for something that forces us to break the rules."

Ali remained silent.

But his eyes slowly drifted downward.

Lower...

Until they landed on Lorien's cleavage.

Then, a devilish smirk crossed his face.

"You know... I could use a beautiful elf like you to warm my bed."

CRACK!

In less than a tenth of a second, the ground beneath Ali split open as a massive blue crystal erupted upward, moving at insane speed —

The razor-sharp tip of the spear-like crystal shot straight for Ali's eye.

BANG!

An emerald-green barrier suddenly materialised around Ali, blocking the crystal a millimetre before it could pierce his skull.

The pressure of the attack sent a blast of wind through the chamber, causing slashes through the grey stone around Ali.

His pupils shrank slightly.

'Damn... I'm weak. I didn't even see that coming..'

Across from him, Kaya's appearance had changed completely.

Her once sleek blue hair had transformed into deadly, crystalline spikes, and her skin had hardened, shifting into a living weapon.

Her eyes burned with pure rage.

"Let me kill this bastard," she snarled. "We can just find someone else-"

"Kaya, STOP!"

Lorien's green aura pulsed-a sudden surge of power forced Kaya's body to freeze, and the crystal spear retracted back into the floor.

Ali, still trapped within the green barrier, remained perfectly still, his black eyes locked onto Kaya's.

Despite nearly having his skull impaled, there was no fear in his expression. Instead, there was amusement-a slow, knowing smirk playing at the edges of his lips.

Kaya, however, was seething. Her crystalline spikes quivered, her fists clenched so tightly her fingertips cracked against her hardened skin. Even as the Supervisor, one of the most powerful enforcers of Paradise, she had never been disrespected like this.

"How dare you?" Kaya's voice was a low, venomous whisper. "You filth-"

"Kaya."

Lorien's voice was calm-but firm.

For a second, nothing happened.

Then, a green hue flickered in Kaya's eyes. Her muscles relaxed slightly, her crystalline spikes slowly retracting back into flowing blue hair.

With a final, sharp glare at Ali, she exhaled, the tension in her frame easing, but the sheer hatred in her eyes remained.

Ali tilted his head slightly, his smirk widening.

"I guess that's a no?"

Lorien sighed deeply before snapping her fingers.

CRACK.

The emerald barrier around Ali shattered, its fragments dissolving into the air like dust.

Ali rolled his shoulders, adjusting to his regained freedom of movement, and looked at Kaya once more.

The killing intent was still there, but Ali didn't care. If anything, he was entertained.

"Can you ask for something else?" Lorien said, her voice neutral.

"Can you ask for something else?" Lorien said, her voice neutral.

The warmth she had exuded before was now completely gone.

Ali raised an eyebrow before glancing at Kaya, who was still fuming, her chest rising and falling with restrained fury.

Then, his smirk turned villainous.

"Alright, I'll change my request."

Lorien looked relieved for a moment.

"Good."

Then-

"Now I want this bitch too. Make her part of the deal."

A moment of silence.

Then—

"NEVER!"

Kaya snapped. Her fingernails lengthened into deadly crystalline claws, and the air around her warped, raw energy surging from her very being.

Ali simply laughed, taking a step closer, his black eyes unflinching as they met hers.

"What's wrong, Kaya?" he taunted. "Not interested?"

Kaya took a sharp breath, her claws twitching, her body tense, like a coiled spring ready to strike.

"Ali," Lorien warned, stepping between them.

"Be reasonable."

Ali clicked his tongue and sighed. "Tch. Fine."

He turned away from Kaya, shoving his hands back into his Sith uniform's pockets as he leaned back slightly.

Then, in a much colder tone, he spoke:

"Look, this isn't happening. I'm not making a guild for you."

Kaya stiffened. Lorien's eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"That is a death trap."

Ali's voice was now calm, analytical, but beneath it was an unshakable certainty.

"You can control what happens inside Paradise, but outside of it? You are powerless. The guilds are too strong, and backing your little rebellion would put a massive target on my back."

He crossed his arms.

"Now, I don't mind having a target on my back. But the enemies l'd make if I worked for you? That wouldn't just be dangerous—that'd be suicide."

Lorien was silent for a moment, but Ali could see the tension in her posture.

She had expected this answer-but it still frustrated her.

"But i can't leave a beautiful women like you disappointed so i have a suggestion for you…", Ali said to Lorien who looked up at him intrigued by Ali's words.

Please donate some of your power stones, it would help my ff massively.
