THE MATE AGENCY

Chapter 9: CHAPTER 9[BACK TO REALITY]

The next morning, I walked into the Mate Agency, feeling a mix of emotions. Ava and Elias were already there, busy with paperwork.

"Sage! Welcome back!" Ava exclaimed, rushing to hug me.

Elias smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Hey, we've missed you."

I forced a smile, feeling guilty for keeping them in the dark. "Hey, guys. Sorry I've been MIA."

Ava's eyes narrowed. "Spill, Sage. What's going on?"

I hesitated, but Ava's persistence wore me down. I recounted my conversation with Dad, Kael's warnings, and Elara's revelations.

Ava's expression changed from concern to determination. "We're in this together, Sage. I'll help you find a way to meet the witch coven. They might be able to help."

Elias's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense. "I'll protect you, Sage. At all costs."

My heart skipped a beat. There was something in his tone, something that made me feel seen and understood.

Before I could respond, a distraught man burst into the agency. "Please, you have to help me! I've lost my mate."

Ava sprang into action. "Let's help him, team."

Together, we worked tirelessly to locate the missing mate.

As the man, Alex, explained his situation, Ava's eyes sparkled with determination. "Don't worry, we'll find your mate."

Ava began rummaging through her collection of magical tools and herbs. "I'll need some personal items from you, Alex. Something that belongs to your mate or something that holds sentimental value."

Alex handed over a silver necklace with a small crystal pendant. "This was given to me by my mate before we were separated."

Ava took the necklace and held it up, focusing her energy. "Elias, Sage, let's form a circle."

The three of us joined hands, forming a triangular connection. Ava started chanting, her voice weaving a gentle spell.

"By moonlight, starlight, and heart's desire,

We call upon the threads of love's sweet fire.

Guide us to the one, the missing part,

Reunite these souls, and heal the heart."

As Ava spoke, the air around us began to shimmer. A soft, pulsating glow emanated from the necklace.

Ava opened her eyes, now shining with an ethereal light. "The thread of connection is strong. I see... a park, a lake, and a willow tree."

Elias's eyes narrowed. "I know that place. It's on the outskirts of our territory."

"I can help to Narrow down the exact location" Liam piped in as he worked on his laptop

Within minutes, we were en route to the park, Liam had pinged us the exact location. Ava's tracking spell guided us, following the invisible thread between Alex and his mate.

Upon arrival, we found Alex's mate, sitting beneath the willow tree, staring out at the lake. She looked lost, but as Alex approached, her eyes lit up.

The reunion was emotional, with tears of joy and relief.

As they hugged, Ava smiled. "Love always finds its way."

Elias nodded. "And sometimes, it needs a little magical nudge."

Ava turned to me. "You're amazing, Sage. But now, it's time for answers. What's really going on?"

I took a deep breath and told her everything.

Ava listened intently, her expression unwavering. "We'll face this together, Sage."

Elias stepped closer, his eyes burning with intensity. "I'm with you, Sage. Always."

My heart pounded as he took my hand. Suddenly, the connection between us clicked into place.

"You're my mate,I know you've felt the tingles too I've been ignoring them but I can't anymore "I whispered.

Elias's face lit up with a radiant smile. "I knew it."

He pulled me into a embrace and I felt safe for a moment like all my troubles had gone away. " I know Sage I've known for a while I've always felt drawn to you, like I've know you my whole life and now i know that your mine"

As we pulled back, Ava beamed. "Finally! Now, let's get to work. We have a prophecy to fulfill and a world to piece back together. "

The Mate Agency became a flurry of activity as we prepared for the challenges ahead.

With Elias by my side and Ava's unwavering support, I felt a sense of hope.

Together, we would face the prophecy, the council, and whatever lay ahead.

But little did I know, our journey was only just beginning.

______

Elias and I decided to take a walk, Elias's eyes sparkled as he took my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "I've waited so long for this, Sage."

We walked through the forest, the moon casting a silver glow on our path. The air was alive with the scent of blooming wildflowers.

"What does it feel like, being mates?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

Elias's smile faltered for a moment. "It's hard to explain. Imagine a deep connection, like two puzzle pieces fitting together. Every moment with you feels... right."

I nodded, understanding. "I feel it too. Like I've found a part of myself I never knew was missing."

As we walked, our hands entwined, the mate bond grew stronger. I sensed Elias's emotions, his thoughts weaving into mine.

"You're worried about the prophecy," I said, intuition guiding me.

Elias's gaze locked onto mine. "I won't let anything hurt you, Sage. You're my mate, my everything."

I smiled, feeling a sense of security. "I know. I feel the same."

We reached a clearing, and Elias pulled me close. Our lips met in a tender, exploratory kiss.

The world around us melted away, leaving only the thrum of our mate bond.

I want you to meet my family ,my parents will be so happy to finally meet you.

Let's introduce new characters and explore Elias's family dynamics.

---

Elias's hand tightened around mine as we approached his family's estate. "Ready?"

I nodded, butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

The mansion's grandeur surprised me. Elias's family, the Silverwoods, were renowned for their wealth and influence.

Inside, we were greeted by Elias's mother, Catherine. Her elegant smile and piercing green eyes reminded me of Elias.

"Sage, welcome," Catherine said, her voice warm. "We've heard so much about you, I'm sorry we didn't have time to visit you after your mom’s death, how are you holding up dear?"

"It's alright ma'am, she’s in a better place" I replied her truthfully

" That's good to hear" as she pulled me to her embrace.

Elias's father, Alexander, stood tall, his broad shoulders and chiseled features commanding respect.

"Welcome, Sage," Alexander said, his deep voice firm. "We've been eager to meet you."

Elias's younger sister, Lila, bounced into the room, her curly brown hair bobbing. "Hi, Sage! I've heard amazing things!"

As we sat down for dinner, I sensed the weight of Elias's family legacy. The Silverwoods were pillars of the werewolf community.

Over dinner, conversation flowed easily, with Catherine and Alexander probing me with gentle curiosity.

Lila, however, was a ball of energy, asking me about everything from my favorite books to my fighting skills.

After dinner, Elias took me to the backyard, where the pack gathered.

The werewolves eyed me warily, their scents a mix of curiosity and suspicion.

Elias stood tall, his alpha energy radiating. "This is Sage, my mate. She's under our protection."

The pack's beta, Ryder, stepped forward, his rugged features softening. "Welcome, Sage. We'll keep you safe."

As the pack acknowledged me, I felt a sense of belonging.

But amidst the warmth, I detected undercurrents of tension.

Ryder's gaze lingered on me, his expression unreadable.

Catherine's smile seemed to hide secrets.

Alexander's eyes narrowed, his thoughts concealed.

Lila's excitement was contagious, but I sensed she was hiding something.

Elias's family dynamics were complex, and I had yet to unravel the threads.
