THE MATE AGENCY

I had taken about eight shots I was feeling numb but I wasn’t drunk we werewolves don’t get too drunks when it comes to the drinks made by humans our bodies are built too differently we had something stronger we call it “Aurorale” it’s a drink that gets stronger and changes colour depending on the drinkers mood, but I think I’m numb enough for one night, going at this time is dangerous for me I mean I have enemies and my back is going to be crawling with more soon. I stood up after I paid and then I started walking ,I had walked for about ten minutes and then I just sat on the road like the highway and the I started crying just like that I became emotional I let out all the pain I was feeling my mom’s death really took a toll on me hell it’s changing things around here I was crying for so long I didn’t notice that a car had parked in front of me as the headlights blinded me the two doors opened but still I couldn’t stand up

“oh for fucks sake why are we helping her” the stranger said. His voice was dep and husky, one that would make any girl swoon

“Because it’s the right thing to do Elias” another voice said I couldn’t see their faces till they walked closer to me

“Hi I’m Jason and this is Elias ,are you okay?” he said as I looked up and I feel like I forgot my problems for some seconds because I was literally looking at two hot guys I was in awe, he had a white shirt on,he paired them with a blue jean, his hair was slicked to the back while Elias also wore a white shirt almost similar to Jason’s but he paired his with a black ripped jeans,which he had rolled up to this elbows which made his biceps to pop out I could see one of his tattoo peeking out of his shirt, his hair was messily slicked to the back you could tell he had run his fingers into them

“Answer the damn question or are you going to keep checking me out” it was Elias that spoke this time his icy blue eyes piercing at me, but I wasn’t one to let my guard down I don’t know why I was staring at him or why I felt drawn to him but I wasn’t going to let my guard down “why do you care ?”I replied as I stood up

“ I told you we shouldn’t have stopped ”Elias rambled on to Jason , why was he so grumpy I thought “ look I don’t want to cause any trouble and I’m sorry you met me like this” I said as I walked away quickly

“Hey, could I get your name at-least” I heard Jason’s voice from behind “Sage” I yelled but I never turned back and I didn’t stop walking till I reached my home and immediately I laid on my bed.

I didn’t know how long I slept but I felt like crap my black hair was scattered on the sheets and it was sticky ,I had mascara running down my eyes. I felt dirty,confused,replaying last nights events but at the same thing relieved probably because I finally cried last night. I quickly drowned down a glass of water and some pain killers because my head was killing me, I strolled out of my room and down the stairs surprisingly my aunt Carissa was here I didn’t know she’ll be here already we didn’t have a close relationship with even my dad and her weren’t close its still weird that my dad chose her out of all people to take his place.

“Hi Sage”she said with a smile “Hi”I said as I took out the eggs from the fridge for breakfast “so how are you holding up?”she asked , the nerve of this woman her brother lost his mate and she didn’t bother to be there for him she didn’t even attend my mom’s burial “so now you care”I said almost as a question as I turned to look at her

“I meant to come,but something came up” .

That was always the excuse my dad needed her she wasn’t here,but when he needs her to take his throne she’s here faster than a pizza delivery guy on a Friday night .

“Save your excuses, so why are you in our home” I asked this was my family house ,the pack house was like ten minutes away from the Alpha’s house, this was where I grew up . Every pack had their pack house then the Alpha and the Luna usually have their own houses ours was bigger than the houses other Alpha’s own because my parents are in charge of the underworld ,but I really didn’t want my aunt to stay here she could always get a place at the snap of her finger since she was all royalty now

“I might actually stay here” she said I could have sworn I saw her smirk right at me and then I lost my appetite , I walked out of the house till I got to mine and Ava’s secret spot and there she was sitting on this rock at edge of the lake I wasn’t ready to talk to her but now that she’s here it wouldn’t hurt to just talk to her

“Hey”I said as I kicked a rock towards the lake “I knew you couldn’t stay away from me” Ava said as she looked at me and smiled “yeah right” I said with an eye roll “so..” I continued “Look you don’t have to say anything, we don’t have to do this”she said quietly “Yeah we do I said some pretty nasty things, I was hurting and I let my anger out on you and I’m sorry” I told my best-friend truthfully I did feel bad about what I said and I needed her to know “ Seriously Sage its cool what are friends for , I’ll always be here for you” Ava said said as she ran to give me a hug and how could I not hug my best-friend , of course I returned her hug

“So do you wanna talk about what’s being going on” she said as she released me from her embrace “I’m sorry A but I’m not comfortable yet to talk about anything” I told her apologetically “It’s okay at your own pace” she told me .

I stayed a while with Ava ,we talked I told her about my dad leaving to clear his head, I told her about my aunt taking his place and then she told me about the witches side basically like we were exchanging information

“So what are you going to do about you aunt”she asked as she escorted me back to my place “I don’t know yet, but I know she can’t keep people away from their happiness, there has to be something I can do” I told Ava “Just know I’ll support you all the way” she replied me as we reached the gate to my house, I saw an extra car I wonder who she invited “your aunt probably has guests” Ava said quietly

“Yeah I was also wondering who she invited, do you wanna say hi to my aunt?” I asked “Sure”.

Ava pushed the door and I stepped inside, the first face I saw was the guy from yesterday “What are you doing here?” I directed my question at him this time he wasn’t with Jason “That’s none of your business” he shot back “Too bad your in my house so I have to know” I said as I crossed my arms “Oh I see you two have met” I heard my aunt’s voice call out from behind and I almost rolled my eyes

“Actually we’ve already met Overlord Carissa” Elias’s voice popped in “Wait, what I’m I missing here?” Ava asked looking between me and Elias and I sighed and just gave her the eyes tat said I’ll tell you later.
