The Light Hero: Beacon

'This place again?'

Izuku stood in the same void as earlier, looking around for the red-haired man or any of the others he had seen before.

"Yo"

He turned around to see the red-haired man appear out of the void.

He nodded, still not having a mouth.

"My name is Shanks. I was the third user of one for all"

Ignoring the stunned Izuku, the man came up to Izuku and put his palm where Izuku's mouth should have been, and to Izuku's relief his mouth was back.

"What did you just do"

"I have no idea" the man said with a chuckle "I have no clue how any of this works kid"

"Anyway" he said changing the topic " You must have questions. I'm here to answer them."

Izuku's eyes slowly fluttered open to see the white ceiling of what he knew was UA's infirmary.

"Finally awake sonny?"

He turned to see Recovery Girl approaching to check his pulse and pressing various joints and asking if they hurt.

After that was done, she gave him a nod and sat back on the stool.

"You're all fixed up kid. Your classmates have already all been sent home, and there wont be any classes till next Monday."

Izuku nodded, and finally stood on his own two feet.

He was wobbly, but it was probably because of him being in the bed for so long.

"What happened after I fainted?" he asked

"All Might and the rest of the staff came and cleaned up. They said that the mist and the hand villains made it out though. That Nomu thing got taken by the HPSC. You can ask Toshinori the details later" she said with a dismissive wave as she turned to whatever paperwork she was filling.

With a quick thanks, Izuku was out of the infirmary.

 "You're saying you met the third user of one for all!?"

"Yeah"

"You talked to one of the past users!?"

"Yes sensei"

Yagi-sensei stood beside Izuku at Dagobah beach. It had been a day since the USJ , informing Yagi-sensei what exactly had gone down.

"And you have all the past users quirks?"

"That's what he said sensei."

The man pinched his brows as he muttered something unintelligible before looking at Izuku.

"And what else did Shanks tell you?"

"Mainly that normally one for all would have reduced the lifespan of someone who wasn't quirkless by a lot but because of how my quirk works the two more or less exist in sync with each other"

"Ah. Guess we both got lucky then."

"What do you mean?"

"I was quirkless before I got this power" Toshinori said as he clenched his fist and the telltale light of one for all shone from his palms "My master saw me rush to do something crazy and decided I was worthy, a lot like what you did actually, but I had zero training so much more reckless."

Izuku chuckled at that. It wasn't too hard to imagine the blonde man beside him rush to save those who needed saving, powers or not. It was just who he was, and the need to save people was ingrained in his body, much like how it needed oxygen.

"Anyway" Izuku said, looking up as he saw the sun rise from the horizon "Shanks said that even though I should have them all now rather have to unlock them one by one, I wouldn't be able to use them all unless I really need to. He told me to focus on his quirk, Haki, for now because it would make it easier to learn the rest."

Toshinori nodded. "Red haired Shanks was a very famous pirate from more than a 100 years ago."

Izuku turned sharply.

"Shanks-san… was a villain?"

"Oh gods no" he sputtered " he was a very good man. He was only every noted to steal from those who were cruel and villainous. He even ended a war between pirates and the Marines as a third party back then and because of the sheer respect he had from both pirates and Marines, they had no choice but to agree."

"How do you know all this?"

Toshinori looked down at his student with a grin " Being the number one hero means I have access to a lot of resources young Midoriya. All I had to do was ask one of my employees a report on who Shanks was and I was given all I needed. Including information about his quirk."

"It felt a lot like my quirk actually" Izuku said as he clenched his fist and it turned into that metallic shade of black he now knew meant he was using Haki "just…sharper. And more forceful, if that makes any sense?"

"From what the man once said during an interview with a reporter called Morgans, he said his quirk is literally him enforcing his will on others. On his own body, his senses or even on other people. They say that those with a weak will would not be able to stay conscious if he as much as walked near them."

Izuku whistled "think I'll be able to do that?"

"That power has only grown stronger inside One for All Young Midoriya. It would be harder for you to not knock everyone out through sheer presence. Even that tiny amount of Haki covering your hand is emitting enough waves that I'm having to actively stop myself from transforming."

Sheepishly, Izuku deactivated the Haki and put his hand back into his pocket.

"So…what now?"

"Now" they both turned to see a certain old man in a yellow hero suit with a walking cane exiting a car. "You train with me again kid"

"OH HELL NAH"
